Would love to use these motorcycle plates but not sure if they’re illegal on cars. Anyone know?
Cheers
Will I hate myself I I purchase a westfalia? I would be absurdly daily driving it, and I want to know what daily driving a late 80s vw would be like for repairs and day to day hassle. I keep looking at other more reliable vehicles but I can’t seem to shake the idea of owning a vw. What would I need for repairs, and is it even a good idea? It obviously comes with safety concerns; how does a 1987 compare with 60s vws and modern vehicles?
I want to protect my cars paint what’s the best suggestion for that? Like a ceramic coat? Or is there something cheaper or better?
Like none of you make anything that I want, so you're not getting my money anyway,
So, let me get my god damn Honda S660, while it's modern, cheap, and will be easy to fix.
That's all I'm saying.
Our household is going to be getting bigger in a couple weeks (she’s 23 weeks) so my ‘22 Compass isn’t going to be able to comfortably handle everyone. I’ve seen 8 passenger options for the Sienna but don’t know if Honda has similar in the Odyssey and that option seems optimal for our family. Both of these options have the best resale so I’d prefer to keep that in mind.
With all of that being said, which of the two options would you suggest?
Hello everyone!
I have the option to pick up a 1998 MGF Brooklands edition for 4.200€. It has 160.000km and seems to be mechanically in order from what I’ve gathered so far. I just wanted everyone’s opinion on if that price seems good/worth it? I’m currently in Germany so I’m not sure there’s a particularly solid repair/parts network, also the car would be a daily driver but only about 12-25km or so a day.
Note: I know about the head gasket issues (owner said upgrade was done), and haven’t seen much about this “150 made” 1,8l Brooklands edition so I wanted some extra input if possible.
Thanks in advance guys!
I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS that I’m currently fixing up, and once everything is all good and ready I want to add some mods to it and paint it to make it look nice and unique. Even though I know it’s not fast and don’t claim it to be, am I still a ricer?
Aren’t they both going down a gear while you’re traveling at an already fast speed?
Completely new to manuals. I want to learn as much as I can before purchasing one.
Thank you.
I’ve received several quotes to ship my project cross country later this week. A last minute quote came through more than half of the one I went with and significantly less than the cheapest option to this point. I was willing to go with a slightly more expensive option because of better reviews but this ultra cheap one seems too good to be true. It’s an unregistered/uninsured vehicle.
Anyone have any experience or hesitation with cheap shipping companies? Other than an untrustworthy third party review site and their own lackluster websites can’t find much about them but I’d love to spend only $400 to get it from Iowa to Massachusetts.
A few hours ago Alfa Romeo announced that the Alfa Romeo Milano was gonna be renamed to "Junior", the government forced them to change the name because a product that is made un Poland with a french engine named after an Italian City is not accepted to protect the Made in Italy. Did y' all prefer the old name? Btw the other option was "MiTo" just like the older model.
Between the recent report of cracked fuel injectors in certain Escapes and Bronco Sports with the 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and reports of the Nissan VC three-cylinder turbos being problematic, all this recent bad news doesn't inspire much confidence in all the three cylinder turbos flooding the "affordable" vehicle market including those in the new Chevy Trax and Buick Envista. Does any automaker make a reliable 3cyl Turbo or are all those future second and third owners of these vehicles taking a huge chance?
I daily a 2018 WRX and it’s nearing that all to well know (in the WRX community at least) 100k miles mark and although I’ve taken good care of it and it hasn’t given me too much trouble, when a family member asked if I would sell it to them, (if I do decide to sell it,) I was hesitant to say yes.
So it got me thinking, because having that awd or 4x4 adds complexity to the long term reliability, what other awd or 4x4 vehicles with 100k miles or 160k km on the odo would I feel comfortable to recommend to someone close to you and be confident saying you should be good for like another 5 years eh.
So I scratched the plastic of my car badly. It is like 2-3 mm deep. Can you guys give me any advice how to fix this one if its possible?
Hello, I hope you're all well. I'm currently working on a 1996 Mitsubishi L200 in which I replaced the head gasket because it was dead, so after replacing it, the engine started right up (I told you about this 2 years ago), so I did the rest of the work (interior, rims, bumper, etc.). Then, when it's time to start the car, it starts normally as usual BUT, when I accelerate full gas, I'm at 1100 or 1200 rpm max, and when I pump the fuel filter and accelerate at the same time, the rpm goes up and when I stop pumping, it drops again. I've already changed the diesel filter but it does the same thing :/
Thanks for your help 👍
My grandfather has it with just 200.000km on it. I just wanted to know how much could it be worth in today's market and how good is it if i buy it and keep it to myself.
And what's your opinion on it from what I've described or your opinion on it overall.
I'm not a car guy btw, so if there's a better sub to post this on please tell me.
Hola!
Was ist wirklich notwendig? Ich möchte möglichst günstig rauskommen, aber die wichtigsten Dinge mitnehmen. Kann mir da jemand helfen?
Vielen Dank im voraus! ❤️
What do you guys think is the most underrated maintenance item? (Oil changes, fluids, brakes, etc.) Let’s debate in the comments!
