So I'm stuck between three different bikes and i wanted to see what yall think
2016 Dyna Switchback
2017 Heritage Softail
2022 Pan Am
Dyna: Im leaning most towards the Switchback. I've always had a thing for 'em and I love the look and feel when riding. It just puts a smile on my face. Heritage: For the Heritage it's the classic styling. That's what I grew up around and feel nostalgic about. I like it but not the same as the Dyna. Same same but different. Pan Am: For the Pan Am i think it's bang for the buck when it comes to the tech and how different it is. Also the adaptive ride height interests me...I done got blowed up in Iraq and my back is moderately fucked. I've read about guys who stopped riding because of back injuries but were able to get back out there with the Pan Am. I'm going this weekend to test ride them all. Again, thanks for any advice.
In table 24 of the softail owners manual it gives some adjustments for tire pressure “if the bike was “not ridden for two hours or more”; are they saying it needs to be ridden for two hours to be considered “warmed up” or that if the bike has been idle for two hours, it’s not considered warmed up? TIA.
Does anyone in here know if there is any issues fitting the newer handcontrols on a 95 fxstc?
I recently installed Thundermaxx Auto Tuner and SP Concepts Big Bore 4.5 exhaust on my 2022 Street Bob 114. I am currently running the stock air cleaner as I am waiting for the Trask High Flow Air Cleaner to come in. Will I be fine running this set up with stock air cleaner for now? I also got it dyno tuned with stock air cleaner to get dialed in as much as possible. Thanks in advance.
I currently have a FXBBS that I bought brand new in 2021. It was my first Harley and I rode an Indian Scout before. I hear remarks from people that the M8's and softails do not have the same sound and feeling like the twin cams and Dyna's do.
What has been your experience? Have you had a M8 and gone back to a twin cam? Or what was your experience the other way around?
I have a 03 softail and I need to change out my tensioner boots, for now I was going to buy the oem style boots just to get me another couple miles, I was trying to find some info on google and YouTube and was a bit confused because they’re breaking down most of the top of the engine to put the upgraded style tensioners. I was under the impression to replace the oem style boots i would just have to pop off the cover and than remove the cam plate, am I wrong?
Hello so I got a used 2013 road king and I'm very excited! But there's a few modifications I want to make to it! I want to change the front rim, the handlebars and I'm gonna get new hard saddlebags! Could you tell me how much is gonna be for all the installation process? Just the labour's, I'm gonna get the pieces myself! Thank you!
I have a 2014 Softtail slim and looking for the best seats with backrest of some sort. Any ideas?
Turned off bike at 7/11 to get gas. When I turned it back on it was starting up but made a pop noise and was completely dead. Had to push it an hour back to my house. Checked the battery & it was good, charged it all the way up. Checked the main fuse & it looked normal. Only been riding about 4 months so i'm confused rn.
Good morning! While installing Bung King “swing arm lift” blocks on my 2008 Dyna Lowrider (yes I know how it can effect trail, yada yada) I came across what I can only perceive as my swing arm being moved/shifted to the right of the bike by quite a bit.
I have the bike up on the lift and used the scissor jack under the frame, not the engine or transmission, to take weight off the shocks while I removed them and installed the blocks. Got the blocks bolted on and went to reinstall the shocks when I first noticed the shift. I thought it might be the blocks giving me the perception so I removed the blocks and went to install the shocks back normal yet the shift was still there.
Is this a sign of the transmission mount shifting as the swing arm pivot shaft runs through the rear of the transmission? A worn transmission mount? A worn front engine mount? A combination of all?
Anyone had this issue before?
Does anyone have a picture with 6” or 8 overs on a wide glide Is there a noticeable image difference between the two
I’m daily rider here in Los Angeles with 50/50 freeway/streets not an aggressive rider but I occasionally hit 70-85 on the freeway I’m also always splitting lanes will that effect my riding Is there a difference in handling between the two Is 4” more of a sweet spot My commute in a day is around an 1hr 30min
I'm 6'3, 84kg(185lb), 18 year old. I'm planning on buying my first bike, I've had some experience with lighter sub300cc bikes and now I'm looking to buy a harley. I'm still a beginner and fairly new to bikes. I'm not necessarily looking for the fastest or most powerful bike, but instead for the most comfortable and best looking one. I'll be using the bike for daily travel a lot too, and will get into traffics time to time so a heavy kerb might also be a SLIGHT nuisance. The options I'm considering from the ones available in my country are:
Nightster
Sportster s
Fat Bob
Fat boy
Heritage classic
Breakout
Pan America
What do y'all think will be the best option for me
Wanting to put a little pep in the step of the 07 night train while it’s cold out. However I don’t want to spend so much money that I feel I’d be better off just putting that money towards a m8 powered bike. What do you think some of the best cost effective performance upgrades are? Just cams? Someone’s old 103 parts? Or are the full on big bore kits worth it?
Been riding my father-in-law’s 2014 Heritage for a few months, and I’ve noticed ever since I started riding (and he bought his street glide) that he pretty much stopped riding the Heritage. Didn’t give it much thought. For my 31st birthday this weekend, he gave it to me. I’m so grateful, and incredibly excited because I have a few upgrades I’d like to do.
Hi I’m very new to motorcycling and I saw this sportster that I thought looked pretty nice. What model of sportster is it?
Hello Everybody, I gues someone in here knows for sure if the rear lights of the 2024 touring bikes are still powered like the lights of the older bikes. Ground/turn/Break/Running. Or are they now can bus operated?
Part number of the light i mean is 67801344
Thanks in advance.
Anyone ever ordered from cablekits. Wondering about their quality
Thanks!
Not mine, I just took the photo 😎
Hi All,
I'm looking at coming across the Pond to Sturgis next year and wondering If any of my distant cousins could help me out.
What's the crack with renting bikes over there? Is there decent places to rent from in Sturgis? I ride a 17 FXDB over here in the UK. I'm 23 for context too, would I be allowed to rent over there at this age?
What's a decent distance people recommend staying from Sturgis, seems hotels all shoot up massively expensive for the 10 days.
Thanks all
