No selling It's OK to share the things you've made or a cool new product you've discovered, but this isn't the place to market products or web sites. Ads, promotions, product announcements, giveaways, AMAs, kickstarters, and links to self-owned businesses, facebook pages and blogs will usually be removed. It's OK to promote a thing you love and the hobby you enjoy, but it's not OK to promote yourself or your business interest.

I know it's nothing fancy, but I like moras. Actually my wife and I will be in Sweden over the holidays and we are planning a trip to Mora and Nusnäs where the Dalahäst is carved.
Lemifshe F-03 Plus (Rattlesnake) in M390. This is a cool knife. Shockingly inexpensive given the materials used. Retails for $325 or so and I paid $260. Full timascus and the floating backspacer acts as a tuning fork so it ring ala the Winterblade Factor when deploying the blade. Unfortunately on this one there is a fair amount of micro scratching towards the spine but I'm not particularly fussed, can only be seen in certain lighting. The action is incredible, in hand ergos are great and obviously it looks amazing. Won't carry it much obviously but glad to have it. My only gripe is the front flipper doesn't work well and I'm normally a huge fan of front flippers.
First post in this sub, thought I'd share a photo of my collection (got a new one today that isn't in this photo)
You get the idea. Got a secret Santa thing at work and the guy has said to other coworkers he "likes knives". I reckon I can get him something good in a $30-$40 range but the limit is $50 so like please guys help me out here. It's my fucking boss
Recommendations for a small sharpening stone for edc knife and ferrel rod to carry in a wallet or pocket without adding too much space or weight?
I’ve always went to bass pro or academy and purchased a $30 knife that never remains sharp. I’m looking to splurge and get a good knife that I can sharpen and have for every day use or skinning a deer. Any suggestions are welcome.
Surprised that not more people are asking for fidgety knives that aren't super loud. Like waking myself up with a fart, sometimes my own knife annoys me.
Lemme know if u have any theory about knife sounds and if u bought a knife that randomly makes no sound when u open it.
Horse rasp chopper, with Ironwood scales and inlay.
I know it's quite a bit late in the season but could someone please help me find a folding pocket knife for my husband for Christmas?
Since the death of his stepfather (who raised him) he has stopped carrying the pocket knife handed down to him. I know nothing about knives and I don't go through his stuff or I'd take a picture. Doing my best to describe it, the pointiest blade said Buck. And, it has 3 blades that come out, one looks ground down or rounded. And the handle looks like some kind of antler. It's pretty old.
About my husband -- he's in his mid-50's, quite traditional. Some of his hobbies include flying his drone, playing PC games with me, and taking care of our (not pet) chickens and rabbits. We live a pretty simple life in the country, but not the boonies.
I'm looking for a folding pocket knife for Christmas as a thoughtful, but utilitarian item he can use and carry. But, I'm not looking for something that might hold particular sentimentality. Just a really good, useful gift that's also nice to look at, easy to carry.
I think that would make him happy. Since his stepdad died I've seen him fumble around with not having a pocket knife. He really does need another one.
Any help is appreciated. And, my budget is $125-175 with consideration up to $200 if it's particularly useful and/or high quality.
Thanks! And sorry this was long, I just wanted to give a full picture so the best recommendations can be made.
Edit: Made in USA is a +++
So I just got my ZBT yesterday and it came with absolutely zero play in the lock up out of the box. Over the course of a day or so, the lock up got so loose it was like the previous generation. I can make it rattle by shaking it, rattle a lot.
Now I know the ZBT is user serviceable and you can tune it. So I looked up MT's video and did what they said. Rock solid lock up again. Ten actuations later, its back to flipping and flopping like a landed fish (I exaggerate, I know).
It seems like the adjustments dont hold. I have no idea if I'm doing something wrong or if I got a lemon.
Decided to take advantage of some holiday deals and ordered less than useful knives.
The rajah 2 only because I've always wanted a pocket chopper and might actually use it to trim small branches in the back yard.
The elementum 2 dessert warrior because I worked in a donut shop for years and always wanted one and blade hq had them on sale so why not.
And a spyderco dragonfly in wood for my 3 year old daughter who desperately wanted to "carve sticks like dada" so I figured she could play with this until she breaks it or is old enough for a real one.
And why?
Although unpopular, I figure at least some of you carry a fixed blade in this configuration
I am making some carbon fiber knife scales but I can't find a 3d file for the military 2 only the paramilitary 2
Compass and all. Second spike in the handle.
Hopped right on the band wagon down the Ozark Trail. Decent blade for five bucks. Axis lock is a bit stiff, but familiar. I think I will stick to my old Benchmade Presidio auto for EDC.
Single Company with the most amount of best knife designs and just the all around best knife making company is a CHINESE company. Kizer. I said what I said. You can debate me but you'd be wrong.
