I keep up with the grooming. I wash twice a week to keep from overdoing it. I use dedicated beard wash/conditioner, and products.
After a shower or washing, I go in with oil, brush it in, and I might use a butter to help. It'll look good and moisturized, for maybe an hour or two on a good day, but the whole day? Shit I wish. Am I doing something wrong?
If length is relevant, only way I can describe it is about 4/5 guard height using clippers.
Also, how should I be trimming up underneath my chin? Should my sides be shorter or same length all around? It's decent rn but if it can be better then that's what I want tbh
My bf is starting to take better care of his beard and I want to get him some nice beard care for xmas.
Specifically i’m looking for recommendations for straight blades to line up his beard and any shaving products favourites for sensitive skin! (Shaving gel, after shave, beard oil etc.)
Any suggestions are much appreciated!!
My boyfriend has started growing out his beard and has mentioned that he wants a beard comb. I wanna get him a nice set for our anniversary but I don’t know anything about this so can you guys recommend me some good brands?
I’m (21) trying to grow my first beard, but unfortunately for me my sideburns grow in quite an uneven pace. Therefore I will simply trim the longer side time from time and let the slower side catch up. But, aside from the uneven growth I also have different hair colors. I mainly have a blonde like growth, but with some black hairs mixed in there. These black hairs mainly appear on the faster growing side but barley on the slow side. So even if I trim it there still is a noticeable difference in colors between the sides. How should I maintain it so it doesn’t end up looking to stupid?
I also heard someone mention volt but amazon reviews are not that good.
They say the volume of the tubes is not a bang for the buck and it doesn't last
I use blackbeard color and it's the best I've used. It lasts a long time and it's hypoallergenic and doesnt' cause blisters to my skin and you get a tube that can last you 1 month. I use it on a small portion of my face on a small goatee I have so maybe that's why I can make it last long.
I'm trying to grow out my beard? Does anyone know and good products for beard growth?
I look good both either clean shaven or with a light soul patch under the chin with a light mustache. However want to dye my under chin hair as I don't like the salt/pepper. My mustach is more less dark. Any recommendations? I bought JFM and I got a blister on my face. It's healing but i never want to touch such products. Any natural products on the market. I currently use blackbeard but it's more of a color, rather than a dye. I like it.
The hair on my neck and beneath my chin became terminal so fast while my upper chin and cheeks aren’t quite there yet
It seems most beard washes are geared towards guys with minimal to no product in their beard. I use a wax based "butter" so I'm trying to find something that can tackle that without destroying my beard.
Druff - All Natural Beard Oil for Moisture & Beard Dandruff Control!
Hey everyone, I’m excited to announce the upcoming launch of Druff, my all-natural beard oil that’s highly moisturizing, full of vitamin E and specifically designed to tackle beard dandruff. Were using premium quality essential oils which have been cold pressed to ensure the oils retain as much of there natural integrity as possible.
Founded in Manchester, England Druff was created after trying countless products which didn't deliver on their promise. We knew guys needed straightforward, no-nonsense skincare that actually works. As the creator of Druff, I was frustrated with constant dry and flakey skin under my beard. This led me to try many products on the market, including both high and low end products, and not one gave me what I wanted - a flake free and long lasting moisturised beard that I could feel confident in, and forget about for the rest of the day. Sorted. I have now developed a formula that actually works for me and hopefully you too! Key Features:
I’ve created a waiting list for early access and will send out some free beard oils for some feedback (happy to ship internationally). Sign up now to be the first to try Druff when it drops! https://druffskincare.com/
Thanks for your support.
So I'm 48, my dad had a beard on and off but I've never had one. Someone mentioned to my wife I'd look good with one ( a cousin ) but every time I've tried to grow one over the years the itching stage ( if that's really a thing ) is unbearable. It usually kicks in around week two and by week three I've shaved. Any tips ? Thanks.
With the holidays coming up, I’d love some advice on the best products to soften a beard! My boyfriend has a really coarse, thick beard that tends to irritate his skin when it starts growing back after a shave. Since I don’t know much about beard care, I’m looking for recommendations on products that could make a great gift and help him with the itch and irritation. Any favorites you’d suggest? 😊
I'm 30 and I've never shaved - tried disposable razors when I was 16, cut myself up horribly and never bothered trying again. Just a beard trimmer once a month or so since then. Can't ask anyone in my family for advice cause they all have beards too. But now I'm starting firefighting and need a closer shave. Will an electric razor like the one linked below work good enough or do I need a straight razor? I would prefer to avoid anything disposable, even heads, just blades at most. Do I need shaving cream or is there a type of razor where I can just use bar soap or something? Honestly this is a pain in the ass, I'm going to have to shave every 2 or 3 days now and I'm happy to spend money on a good razor but after that I'd rather pay as little as possible for creams and replacements and shit like that.

I use Taylor of old bond St to shave my head and I really like the sandalwood scent I'm growing my btout and wanted some advice on beard care brands w a good sandalwood scent
I've been trying to find the best beard trimmer for men and have read through tons of Reddit threads, but I’m still undecided on which one to get. There are so many options out there, and it's hard to figure out which one would work best for my needs.
From what I’ve seen, the Philips Norelco series seems to be really popular because of its precision and battery life. It's a bit on the pricier side, but it seems to have everything you’d want in a beard trimmer, especially for people who like to keep their beard well-groomed.
I've also seen a lot of good reviews about the Braun trimmers. They seem to be great for thicker beards and offer a variety of settings for different beard lengths, which is something I might need.
On the more budget-friendly side, there's Wahl, which many people say offers solid performance for the price, but I’m not sure how it holds up over time.
For anyone who's bought a trimmer recently or has experience with these brands, which beard trimmer for men would you say is the best in 2024, and what features do you think make it stand out?
Starting from nothing
I usually tell my barber to do a 5 all around the beard but when it grows my beard tends to get curly in all different directions. Looking to get a beard straightener, any recommendations?
What is the overall opinion of live bearded products? I use some of their stuff and a few smaller places in town but it feels like if I miss one day of product I start itching like crazy…
Hey everyone,
I’m growing out my beard for the first time, and I suffer from curly hair that is really prone to dehydration and damage. On my head, I have a really great leave in conditioner that completely fixes the problem, but I am struggling to know what to use on my beard. Would some kind of balm be enough, or do I need a dedicated conditioner? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
After 30 days of awkwardly brushing, micro pinning, applying rosemary. many progress at day 30 but it's just bunch of peach fuzz and I consider it as a win. Like I'll just awkwardly just shampoo at week 18 and I'll wait approximately wait 1-2+ more months or maybe more months till it grow. I've finished this stage of creating a hair follicle and stage 2 will be god willing to wait. ( might shave this next year though. )
If it’s possible to post links that would be appreciated, I am looking for products for my boyfriend’s birthday and I have no clue where to start or what kind of products and tools are needed to keep it looking and feeling nice.
Does anyone ever brush the sides of their beard back toward the sides of their neck instead of straight down? I'd love to post a picture of what I'm talking about but it appears I can't here. But anyway my beard is about 4-5 inches long and I if I brush the side burns below the ear back they reach a bit past my ears and I might be crazy but I feel like it looks better than brushing the whole thing straight down.
If someone can tell me how to post a photo or two here I'd love to get some opinions. Thanks 🤙🏼
Based on my genetics it seems like I’ll never have more than 60% coverage
Hey, I’m 16 and my beard isn’t fully grown yet. It’s decent, but I really want a fuller look.
I’ve looked into it and found that derma rollers can help. I’d love to hear about other people's experiences and get some tips.
I’m planning to use the derma roller once a week on Fridays
So i have a goatee bc i dont hav much facial hair, one day ive noticed my chin was super ichy and then i found out i have a small patch of flaky skin. Never had anything like that on my "beard" What can i do to treat it? I wash my face daily with face soap (and take a shower every 2 days sometimes eveday it depends)
I do have dandruff on my head but it comes and goes usually when its super dry out and stuff.
But my chin almost always has flakiness and sometimes it itches like crazy. What can cause such thing and how can i treat it?
So apparently there’s this rule that you should line up your beard 2 fingers above the Adam’s apple.
I personally don’t follow this rule, I go right up to the jawline and it looks just fine. By doing this people get a double chin / fatter face but with me I find it’s the opposite.
I do only have 1mm stubble so that probably does allow me to go high on the line up and I have almost non existent neck hair.
Maybe my face shape and jawline also allows me to do this. I’m not sure at this point.
Is anyone else in agreement or can relate to me on this? It seems like it’s rare.
Over the years I've tried several washes/conditioners but it seems like half way through the bottle/brick they don't cut it. Looking for some recommendations on one that lasts.
I've tried Mountaineer, Lavation (local brand), Ohio Valley Beard Supply, Viking Recolution, Cliff Supply Co.
Oil & balm wise I've been using Rockaholic Grooming Company and that's been solid.
