I work at a scrap yard and a piece of steel got lodged inbetween the shear blades and is now stuck closed with the metal jammed.
Hydraulics are working fine it’s just in a real bind. Tried a pry bar to loosen it. Also tried dislodging it with a front end loader but had no success.
Without taking it apart, what are some suggestions to get them to open back up or just get the damn metal out?

Sitting there, ready to dump its load.
The JT8D was a hugely popular jet engine produced by pratt and whittney, it powered pretty well known jetliners like the boeing 727 and early 737 models. As well as (I belive) the douglas dc9 and mad dogs.
This was at the national museum of the usaf in dayton ohio
my dad bought it some time ago, took off the chasis and left it there for arround 8 years wide open, so its sticky inside, ive readed that it has to be with 3 on 1 grease and its better to use alcohol in a spraybottle. I will gladly enter on more detail on a md or in a more specialized subreddit.
