I am a guy in my mid-thirties.
I am an obese guy. I like to wear dress shirts (casual buttoned short sleeve shirts).
Is it normal to have slight creases on the shirt after ironing? I find that no matter how much I iron the shirt, there will still be a few slight creases here and there on the shirt.
Should we be ironing the shirt perfectly such that there are totally no creases?
I am sorry if my question sounds silly. It's just that I have social anxiety and I am quite self-conscious about my appearance in public. I don't want to be a weirdo in public wearing the shirt with slight creases.
Thank you.
First ever and loving it so far. Nice and warm! One question tho.....why are the arms so big? Designed for orangutans?
Howdy. Title says it all. I'm 5' 8" 250 lbs and I got short lil t rex arms with a wide back and buddha belly. Most things, especially coats, below XXL don't fit my back or close in the front but then larger sizes have long sleeves that don't always look good rolled up. Advice?
Any recs for a 4xl-5x bomber jacket in the US
Some of y’all gave a light roasting/toasting yesterday. Pumpkin Spice Lattes were mentioned at least six times and I got called gay/bisexual just as many (talk about low hanging fruit). 🤣
Simple Thursday fit.
No, my socks don’t match. No, I didn’t overaccessorize with a hat today. Yes, I’m carrying with the purse again.
Every time I shop for new shirts at any generic clothing store I have the same problem. They have a table of nice polo shirts in about 10 different colors, but the XXL sizes are out of stock in bright colors and dark blue is usually the only color that has XXL. Does anyone else notice this?
Ignore my RBF and my jeans tucked into my white sock, I don’t know what was going on with that.
Fully prepared to get roasted for the long shacket since I know it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
6'7" 350lbs
I can hem the sleeves but is it a fit or not?
Sleeves a bit long and rolled them up/will tailor them.
Mensfashion said this was too big on my shoulders and body.
Or is it fine and just fix sleeve?
I recently got the Amazon Essentials Waffle Knit sweater, and the texture definitely works for us. Unlike most shirts, I'd say the lighter the color, the more flattering it appears.I definitely recommend it, and I was wondering what other shirts you would recommend that aren't flat like a t shirt or typical button down.
I'm 6'3" 300 lbs in my late 40's with a bit of bulk and a lot of flab. I'm working on improving my style in the hopes to attracting the opposite sex. Right now I'm looking for a jacket that looks nice on me that I won't mind if it gets rained on. Previously I've worn tech jackets, but those don't portray someone who puts a bit of effort in.
Recently I purchased a nice suede trucker jacket that I wear over a cable knit sweater, blue jeans and some leather boots. But I need a jacket that I can wear outside when it rains, but also looks just as nice.
What do you guys suggest? What materials should I look for and where do you prefer to purchase them? The above items I purchased from Thursday Boots (jacket and boots) and LL Bean. Any help would be appreciated!
has anyone else purchased any of the harbor bay tshirts from dxl? They always come out of the dryer wrinkled and stiff.
What are some good pants for men with bigger thighs and hips?
My brother's birthday is coming up next month and I overheard him complaining that he wished he had some cuter clothes.
His closet at the moment basically only consists of plain tshirts and sweatpants from Walmart since there isn't really anywhere else in our area that carries larger mens sizes. I'm hoping to find him something he still feels comfortable in but a bit more stylish.
I live in the states but was visiting the UK recently when I saw online Lacoste had some really cool pieces that aren’t on the website in the US. Does anyone know if I can order and have it shipped from the UK while living in the US?
I’m on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans. All the Levi’s I tried so far fit pretty good, but I still can’t find a tapered fit tight enough to hug my big legs. All of the “tapered fit” I’ve tried are still too baggy. I would like to find a store that has all of the Levi’s big and tall selection in person
Hey guys, I would like to know where I could buy some nice (preferably oversized) heavyweight t-shirts. Around 200+ GSM. It would be best if they were based in Europe. I mainly wear plain black t-shirts, but I want something heavier, maybe even something with a design. Could you guys help?
P.S. There is one brand I like. Stay Cold Apparel. Maybe you can recommend something like that too. Thank you all in advance! :^)
I recently didn’t know what size I am in(mostly wear elastic bands under FR coveralls. I am 290-ish at 5-11. I ordered AE jeans. 44. Got them in and they were big. Ordered a 42 then went to mall to return 44s. While I was at the mall, went to buckle and my wife convinced me to try on 38 jeans. They actually fit. Went back to AE and tried on 38s. They fit. I cried in the dressing room. First time in over 7 years I’ve been able to do that.
AE jeans are super comfy. Also, got some plaid pants that feel like loose jeggings on Amazon (I’ll include a pic)
Also, pyschobunny has incredible quality big and tall stuff. (Pricey but amazing quality)
The plaid pants go up to a 48 and are comfortable!
Anyway, keep up the good work guys!
I have been shopping almost exclusively at Duluth Trading for the past 8 years. I sm looking for some out of the box items, just tired of dressing like a basic midwest Dad.
First time posting, love fashion and always looking for big man reps!
I just found this sub, apologies if I'm rehashing this topic. I'm 6'1 but have a long torso and short legs, for that height. I'm currently 310 lb so I have a big gut. I know people keep saying to wear pants over the belly, but that's not for me. I want to wear the pants under the belly, and I wear longish shirts that cover the back etc.
Are there any decent pants that I can buy that will work? I'm not concerned about cost, I just want something that stretches and isn't too hot. (I have some issue with a nerve on my hip and my doctor asked me to wear pants that aren't tight). I almost exclusively wear shorts so I'm unhappy with any pants on, and want them to be as unconstricting as possible. I also have large calves, so these pants that taper down to nothing at the ankle are useless to me; they cut off my circulation.
I've tried a couple from Lululemon that had potential, but the rise was way too long and I had them tailored. The tailor seemed to be really bad at communicating despite my many attempts, and he eventually messed up the crotch of the pants, so I don't love them. I'll try another tailor next time, although I'm in a small town and not sure if I'll have any luck. It would be easier to find pants that didnt' have the crotch going down to my knees as a starting point.
Suggestions? (besides "wear them up high over your belly" plz).
