Currently playing Ocarina of Time for the first time and this made me laugh LOL. Might keep it like this until I finish the game
So some 10 years (possibly longer) back there was this fan art or manga of zelda and link's reincarnation story. It was beautiful and sad but I can't seem to find it anymore. Anybody have any ideas? I believe Link was narrating. The ending of it was essentially link reincarnating to the next storyline, meeting zelda again. Hoping this information is enough
my money is on Ganon from Wind Waker. cause he has, hands down, the coolest sword moves of any Ganon, ever. Seriously, his technique is on another level. Unlike the other Ganons who just smash things with brute force, Wind Waker's Ganon uses his swords with this amazing blend of power and grace. It's like he's been training his whole life just for these epic battles.
Could have cried when I heard this during my travels in Lucerne. Sorry for the spinning!
In the Ikana Graveyard after nightfall, Ikanan soldiers make the best of an endless war.
Fan Art done in charcoal mediums inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (2000) -By Isaac Garrahan (UMBRANOXXX)
I’ve never really been into the Zelda games before but I’m hoping to get into them, but given the fact I don’t have the money to buy the original games and consoles, I was hoping to buy OoT and Majora’s mask for the 2DS.
But before I do, I just wanted to know if they cut or changed anything that was in the original game I should know about. Like any dialogue, areas or enemies (Like the Deadhands) that weren’t deemed “appropriate” by Nintendo’s changing policies so were cut out of the remaster.
I decided to play the GC version of Wind Waker and I am having a blast! My favorite part of the game easily is the world exploration and charting. The sea theme is fantastic and motivates me to explore even more! Not to mention that whenever I get tips from the fish, I write it down on my notepad specifically for later use, like when I get an item and what island specifically I can use it in! Just this fantastic part of the game is enough for me to consider this a top 3 Zelda for me! Any of you guys ever did anything similar to this?
So I never gotten into legends of zelda before. But I always kept hearing about how great the story is and how everyone loved it so I wanted to play it myself. Problem is...I already heard about the story from YouTube so should I still play it? If not, should i play the romhacks instead?
I don’t have a Wii U and I might be dumb but I don’t understand how to emulate. I was hoping they’d port windwaker and twilight to the switch but that never happened and I want to play them. Especially windwaker because I’ve never played that one. Any ideas?
I figured this would be the best group to post in about this. I’m looking to replace my current LoZ wallet with the same one, but I can’t seem to find it online anywhere. I recognise the pattern from LoZ Windwaker art, along with other LoZ WW wallets. Has anyone seen this? Does anyone know where I could find a new one possibly? Any and all help is appreciated! 😅😊

Do the japanese script of the prologue told in the manual also suggest FSA is not a direct sequel, and take place far far in the timeline.
Check out what manual in English have to say:
From: The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past - Four Swords Manual
LEGEND OF THE FOUR SWORD:
Long ago, in the kingdom of Hyrule, there appeared a Wind Sorcerer named Vaati. Vaati could bend the wind to his will and used this awful power to terrorize many villages of Hyrule. In his assaults on the villages, Vaati would kidnap any beautiful girls who caught his fancy.
Many knights from the castle and other brave men set out to subdue the sorcerer and rescue the girls, but each one fell in turn to Vaati's awesome power. Just as the people had begun to lose hope, a lone young boy traveling with little but a sword at his side appeared.
When this boy heard what was happening, he said only, "I will defeat this sorcerer." He boldly entered Vaati's palace, mystically trapped the evil sorcerer inside the blade of his sword, and returned the young girls to their villages. The boy then went deep into the forest and disappeared.
The villagers asked the girls how a boy so young could have saved them all and defeated the sorcerer when no one else could. The young girls told a story of how with just a wave of his sword, the boy's body shattered into four pieces, each of which then formed a complete copy of the boy. These four young boys then worked together to defeat the sorcerer. The people did not believe the story, but they called it the Four Sword nonetheless. As rumors of the blade's power to divide a person into four entities spread, the people built a shrine to protect it.
Princess Zelda of the land of Hyrule was a beautiful young girl born with the mysterious power to sense approaching forces of evil. For this reason, she was assigned with the sacred duty of protecting the shrine of the Four Sword and the blade itself. One day, Zelda was in Hyrule Castle when she sensed that something unusual was occurring at the Four Sword Shrine. She asked a boy named Link, whom she trusted above anyone else, to accompany her to investigate the happenings at the shrine...
(Last paragraph indicate the present time, the paragraph above is the legend)
From The legend of Zelda - Sword Sword Adventures Instructions booklet:
The Story of Hyrulean Adventure
Long ago in the inner reaches of Hyrule, an evil wind sorcerer known as Vaati began kidnapping beautiful young maidens, one after another.
Nobody could stop Vaati, and the people of Hyrule despaired. Then, a brave young wanderer carrying only a single sword appeared.
When the young lad took out his sword, he split into four separate beings. The legends say that these four beings worked as one and defeated Vaati.
The wanderer, united once again, imprisoned Vaati deep in Hyrule and sealed the prison with his own sword. This place became known as the Realm of the Four Sword.
After that, a long time passed.
Then, the wind sorcerer Vaati broke out of his prison and then snatched Princess Zelda of Hyrule.
Zelda's childhood friend, a young boy named Link, claimed the strange power of the Four Sword and fought Vaati fiercely. In the end, he succeeded in sealing Vaati away once again.
And so, peace was restored to Hyrule once again.
Or so everyone thought...
(between the passage a long time passed and the end, is the short retelling of the previous game. Before a long time passed quote is the same legend told, not the events of previous game)
Everybody keep saying and placing Four Sword Adventures far in the timeline, acting as if FSA take place in a far future from its previous game when both game manual tell otherwise
if you look a the character design for Princess Zelda, in both original FS (sprite) and FSA (sprite) they're the same design, and I don't think with all evidencess pointed above you could chalk up to yet another incarnation. In FS and FSA, they are one and the same princess zelda
Ok this one isn't really a big deal, but why does Nintendo include the word "the" in the titles of some Zelda games, but not others. Even if it's a noun, they sometimes don't include it. Eg Ocarina of Time, THE Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass. Spirit Tracks is plural, so that's an exception. Majora's Mask is self explanatory. But like why isn't it "THE Phantom Hourglass" or "Minish Cap" for example?
done by the amazing @ryu.inkz! I’ve always wanted to get a twilight princess tattoo for years. Decided to grab one of the panels from the Twilight Princess manga
