Never had a GameCube and might get one. Amy game recommendations?
This one is mine.. metal thumb sticks feel really good and don't wear down.. buttons feel good except Z like 99% of knock off gamecube controllers.. if anyone knows what game it's from or where to get another like it please let me know! I can find similar cheap ones but none built like this
Just found this stack of old gamecubes games, they are all pretty scratched, I doubt any of them will even play. Regardless, are they worth anything?
I was looking into adding an SD card and running swiss. I found SD2SP2 PRO Adapter and a Xeno chip paired on Amazon, do I need to create a disk as well to run swiss?
We have a dol-001 NTSC GameCube so I'm pretty sure this should all work fine, I'm just assuming the Swiss software has to boot from a disk and not the SD card that's plugged into the adapter? It's not specifically listing that it includes a boot disc.
Got both chibi robo and pokemon colosseum for 300 bucks. Sounds wild but I already had colloseum no manual, so I can sell it and hopefully come out with complete colloseum and Chibi Robo for 150~
Pretty excited about it!
Hi, I've wanted to patch my Xeno (not Xen8) v2 to launch Swiss without having to go through the save exploit. I learned of this which is another firmware for the Xeno which launches a xeno.dol file on the memory card. I have such a file placed on my memcard; it is not named boot.dol and it is not on an SD card, to clarify. This is the xeno.gci included with the latest release of Swiss. I have successfully flashed this firmware to the xeno chip. However, when holding Start to begin the payload, nothing really happens. The screen remains black, and the disc drive stops for a moment, only to keep spinning. Notably, when my memory card is not inside the console I get the error "could not find xeno.dol", so the flash must have worked. Out of curiosity I also tried a different memcard with the file not on it, and the error shows there too. For clarification, the existence of the error is not the issue. The issue is that, when a xeno.dol file exists on the card, the file does not load at all.
I am using a DOL-101. The only internal mod is the Xeno (but there is some LEDs installed to it too). I have 1 controller connected, memcard in slot A, SDGecko in slot B. I've tried the memcard in slot B, and I've tried without the SD Gecko. What can I do about this?
People with guns ✅ Creepy Mansion ✅ Basically Resident Evil
8BitDo mod-kit treatment came through last night, finally I can sit back and recline while gaming, no more hard floor seating.
Would recommend this modkit for anyone not to concerned about defiling their controller. Overall buttons feel good, Z clicks now though, but everything is pretty spot on.
I found my old gamecube in a box and while it never had issues in the past, it seems to have one now. It freezes when trying to launch a game or when attempting to make changes on the calendar. I have taken it apart and cleaned out what little dust was inside and didn't find anything obviously damaged on the boards

$9.78 USD each ( Spiderman was free ) Maybe overpaid a bit for a few but super happy with my purchase.
Looking to get a Christmas gift for my brother, he only uses it for smash and I don't know which ones only are good quality or not since they don't make the original controllers anymore. Tia!
I need help finding a game for a friend and she can only give a vague description. It's a top down shooter that's pixelated like Contra, two characters that are back to back the whole time, you fight through different areas and can pick where you go like up, down, left, and right, and the actual fighting is like Xeno Crisis
Got my flippydrive and am currently dumping my games. Does anyone know how it handles 2 disc games when you need to switch disc in game? Do I have to do anything special with the files?
In stark contrast to my last post, which gamecube games are your cheapest? My bottom 20 according to gameye!
My top 20 according to Gameye! What are yours? I've still got a few heavies to get when the time comes.. I know there's a few complete sets on here and some really unique stuff like the double packs and some $$$ demo discs and the likes I want to see that stuff

Pretty excited about the new RP5 gamecube color-way, wanted to share my impressions for those interested
Hopefully this is allowed here since it’s about the Panasonic Q GameCube, if not just lmk and I’ll post elsewhere!
So I bought a Panasonic Q from Japan and the disc tray rails basically completely shattered, likely during the shipping process or before — the seller said that it was in storage for a long time. On top of that, since it was left alone for years, the belt was super worn and conformed to the shape it was left in. I replaced the belt with a brand new one and 3D printed new rails and disk tray, which work well.
During the repair process, I noticed that like half the times I turned it on, any time I switched it to GameCube mode from DVD mode, it turned off and showed F76 error on screen. Once I took the console apart and replugged everything back in, the error goes away about half the time. I think it might be old ribbon cables, so I’m in the process of replacing those.
My main issue is that it won’t read GameCube discs; it spins the disc and I can hear and see the laser assembly moving and clicking against the plate, but it doesn’t progress past that. It either shows “?” on the GameCube menu, “no disc,” or will boot into the GameCube start sequence and then freeze at the logo and not load any further.
Does anybody have any advice on 1. what the F76 error could be caused from and how to prevent it from intermittently occurring, and 2. how to deal with this disc read problem? I have tried adjusting the petentiometer and have cleaned the laser lightly with IPA. The disc is known good and works with my GameCube. Will update after I replace the ribbon cables as well.
Don't think these games are rare/expensive really, but I never hear anyone talk about them
I was wondering how to make an extra option feature in a game like how it is on this Luigi’s Mansion mod and if it’s possible on any other gamecube game.
Hey y’all, viva la GameCube
Wondering if anyone has insight on all the GameCube mods that would be useful for playing melee? I wanna get a modded Gc but the Etsy I found offers all sorts of mods
I’ve read that the hdmi mod deals with the lag so I’d love to get that. Maybe someone can mention if it really is lag less for melee.
The pico mod seems cool? Can I load the dolphin version of melee to play with weird skins and stages?
Do I need fiber optic mod, xeno, sd2sp2, recap items?
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? It’s appearing only when there is a disc in the drive and it doesn’t matter which game, Error goes away when there is no disc in the console.
Thankyou!!
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of eternal darkness sanitys requiem? I'm desperate to beat it, I played when I was a kid and I have been having memories pop up of it and I want to play it so I can beat it, maybe relive my childhood a bit....
