I mean, since people are posting BNIB treasures…

I finally got my sealed Luigi’s Mansion signed. Scooped it at a garage sale for $10 a year ago.

Got a gamecube in 2024 🎉

Finally get my hands on a gamecube after a dreamcast in one week. This is a gift for my birthday from my girlfriend 😍 I was a PlayStation guy since ever but it’s time for a change 🙃

Update: $5 sealed OEM GC controller is REAL! Still remains my GREATEST thrift find OAT

Based on the comments from my previous post, many of you were telling me the controller I posted was a knockoff due to missing the "Nintendo GameCube" print on the controller. Well good news! It did not appear because of the lighting. Here is a better photo.

I need some help picking an adapter for my gamecube.

It’s a DOL-001 so it has the digital av port but I’m not sure which adapter to get. I don’t wanna spend a too much somewhere around 30-40 bucks.

Please help me, I have tried updating and reinstalling. Nothing is working, and I didn’t do anything that should’ve caused this. Any suggestions?

Disc Has Brown Spot

Ordered this Celebi bonus disc from Japan and when it got here it had this marking on it — wasn’t visible in listing

What is this brown stuff — tried to get it off with cloth but to no avail

Almost got to 300 PAL

I thought that I already got to a whole 300 but one that I bought was a dupe. Still 150-176 to go to a full PAL collection. Don't really know what to trust with how many there is.

Would Gluing this be a solution?

Saw this listed on ebay for MP6 which is a great deal for now. However, it's cracked and seems to be contained to the hole so it should still read.

I am concerned it i get it that it will break more and not spin well in the disk reader as a result Would I be crazy to just throw some super glue or something on the cracks to strengthen it?

Where are all the Indigo peripheral replacement shells?

I'm honestly surprised there aren't a preponderance of third-party indigo replacement shells for the GBA Player (yes, I know imports exist), the Broadband Adapter, or for Wavebirds. I've always felt like Indigo is the most iconic of all the North American GameCube palettes and I would've thought there'd be a market for converting all the peripherals to match. However, it seems like everyone just likes the Spice Orange palette (not for me, but fair enough, I guess) or translucent shells (I've never gotten the appeal of translucent tech). If any of yall know of anywhere to find Indigo shells for all the peripheries, let a fella know!

Video Issues when Displaying from Digital Out port

I’m hoping someone has some experience with this issues and can provide some guidance about what’s going on.

I recently purchased a Gamecube, and I have tried running video through Retrobit Prism component cables to a GBS C upscaler and through the Retrobit Prism hdmi adapter through an Mclassic out of the digital out port. In both cases, I’m getting visual issues like the dotted vertical lines above. The location and severity varies from game to game. They are worse in third party games, and are present, but not overally so, in first party titles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably my CRAZIEST thrift find ever! SEAL OEM GC CONTROLLER FOR $5!!!

I picked this up a few years back thrifting at a Salvation Army, but never shared it. Still probably my craziest find ever. I planned to hold onto it and sell it later on as eventually I thought the price of it would shoot up; however, I've noticed recently that its sale price on eBay has been dropping.

Help testing voltages on GC power pins

Can someone help me if they have access to a multimeter and the inside of their gamecube? I have no audio and I'm testing if it's my power supply board, but I have no working cube as a control.

Can someone test this particular pins on a powered on motherboard and tell me the voltage? It's supposed to get 12vs according to the internet but I'm reading like ~0.50. I think my power board is faulty and not providing the correct voltage.

I'd really appreciate some information!

Any inserts database or spreadsheet?

Are there any spreadsheets or databases that document what inserts came in gamecube games? Other consoles have them but i cant find anything for gamecube. Sealed unboxings dont seem to exist for a good chunk of titles so its tough to know for sure.

Currently having trouble with ikaruga, backyard football, and both dbz budokai games.

These are all atari/infogrames games and while researching their inserts, im pretty sure atari games didnt come with precautions booklets. Cant find any of these unboxed on the internet to confirm. Any help would be appreciated

Twilight princess copped

Finally got one of the holy grails of GameCube games. Zelda Twilight Princess. Been trying to get this for a while now and I finally have it. Yes I know I could have opted for the Wii version which is a lot cheaper, but I wasn’t really willing to settle for motion controls. So I chose to go for the expensive alternative. Overall, I think I made the right choice.

Video Troubles with Gamecube

So I just got this Gamecube on marketplace with no cables, but it came with the Gameboy player. Anyway, the video will not display with the component cables directly connected to the TV. However, it displays this when hooked up to a cheap component to HDMI converter. The cable works just fine on the SNES and N64, ideas?
