Star Fox is a video game series published by Nintendo. The original game was a forward-scrolling 3D Sci-Fi rail shooter. Later sequels added more directional freedom as the series progressed. The game concept was inspired by a shrine to a fox god who could fly, and which Shigeru Miyamoto visited regularly. The shrine was accessible through a series of arches, thus inspiring the gameplay.

DISCLAIMER: Yes, I listed Jay Ward and not Mike West as Wolf's VA in 64 3D and Zero. After repeatedly listening to his voice lines and comparing them to other characters Ward voiced in 64 3D (Yaru de Pon and Caiman), it's pretty clear that he also voiced Wolf.
Past results:
Fox McCloud: Mike West, closely followed by Jim Walker
Falco Lombardi: Mike Madeoy
Peppy Hare: Rick May (RIP Soldier)
Slippy Toad: Lyssa Browne, followed by Mike McAuliffe
Just replayed it recently and it's a shame it didn't get more attention. The graphics overall for one thing is amazing, you don't really notice how much better the graphics look until you compare side by side with the N64 version. Obviously we're comparing 1997 graphics to 2011 graphics on a more powerful handheld, but they really did make Zoness, Aquas, and Solar look lightyears better especially. All the cities are more details and I love how Meteos has a green nebula in the space in the background than just black space and stars like in N64.
Also the quality of life improvements. You can now skip more cutscenes and the ending (!) which you couldn't do in the N64 version besides a few. On top of that the game saves mid-story mode, unlike N64 where you turned it off you were back at Corneria again. They also added Score Attack mode, where you can just replay any level on Normal or Expert mode without having to replay the whole main game again and follow a branching path. If you just want to replay Zoness, you can do that and skip all the levels before it
I also like the new multiplayer mode, you can play in single player against CPU now which if I'm remembering right you couldn't do on N64. Only problem is they removed the on-foot and landmaster parts, but oh well.
The sound is also great with some re-recorded lines and the play control on 3DS has two options between gyro controls or classic. Honestly it replaces the N64 original altogether for me. I only wish they could somehow port this to consoles so I could play it on the big-screen.
For being each other's "eternal rival", there is quite an imbalance between Star Fox dubs and Star Wolf dubs when it comes to dogfights.
Really the only times Star Wolf has "won" against Star Fox that I can remember is when they defeated the Anglars in Command, but of course, the canonicity of that is just as muddled as basically everything else in the game.
Hell, even in SF64, Fox saying "Just what I needed to see. Star Wolf." made him sound annoyed.
Though it is funny to think of their rivalry in a "Ash vs Team Rocket" way where they're rivals because the latter team just keeps harassing them.
Context: river has a lot of complicated feelings about James. More than their older siblings since they’ve heard so many different things about him. Mostly from fox, since he would tell river how he felt about James and how he made him feel. And when river ran away, they were told different things from others. And with how a lot of people around them make James up to be this flawless person. The only thing that river can really feel about James is that he is someone who held empty promises to fox and was never there when he needed him most.

https://www.101soundboards.com/boards/10854-star-fox-sounds#google_vignette I don't know if posted before, but have a Star Fox sound board... We all need it. Also Peppy's and Slippy's backstory is about 50% done.

All I've managed is selling my soul so I could be ginger.
Every Nintendo Star Fox game has some control I was not aware of, but finding out a useful control on the last level is some crazy video game nonsense LOL.
Star Fox: Super Weekend (Official Competition), or Star Wing: Super Weekend (Official Competition) in Europe, is a rare special edition cart only briefly sold through Nintendo Power. The special edition version was created for international Star Fox competition events hosted by Nintendo Power (the US contest was held Friday April 30 to May 2, 1993), and featured a single gameplay mode with a five-minute time limit on a modified version of the first Corneria and Asteroid stages. Extra rings and other bonus systems were placed to add more challenge and scoring opportunities. The developers also added an exclusive bonus level. The altered start-up screen displays "Official Competition Cartridge". Depending on the points scored, players could win a t-shirt, a jacket, or even trips to international destinations. An estimated 2,000 cartridges were made.
Do you remember this competition game ?
Bill’s dialogue with Fox is different depending on whether you kill an ally ship or not on the Katina level.
