im replaying OOT on the n64 emulator that came with my brand new switch. i’m at the part where you wake up malon’s dad with the chicken then enter the waterfall, however my pov looks different then how i remember and also different from every walkthrough. how do i get past these guards wtff?
I used to watch my older cousin play OOT before I played it myself. He was already adult link at the time so I guess the twist was already spoiled for me and also I didn't realize there was even a twist to begin with until I played it myself. Just wondering if other players got a shock when you step out of the Temple of time after picking up the master sword and see Hyrule castle and the market place in ruins? How was that for you? Did you know see it coming? Did you feel sorry for the townspeople that were once lively now turned into zombies?
I was doing the jabu jabu's belly dungeon and I was so lazy i turned on cheats and went straight to bigocto. I didn't have the boomerang and cheesed it with deku nuts, i no longer have princess ruto, what do i do
I was just doing the dodongo dungeon when i accidentally forgot to turn off noclip, i tried to pause and reload the game, and to my surprise, link was holding the triforce in the equipment tab
Didn’t know if anyone has ever done an IQ experiment for beating the dungeons of ocarina of time. Like, what level intelligence does it take? I’m sure someone out there could use beating OOT as a measure for intelligence. Are there any similarities or any test we can draw from to say that it’s a roughly 110 average to beat it. Or does Japan consider Zelda more on the 90 or lower range. Any ideas out there?

I want to add Henriko Magnifico's 4K 3DS shaders to Ship of Harkinian. Is it possible?
I struggle to do it with the og stick but with the unofficial controller with potentiometers it’s so much easier any idea on how to do it with the og stick?
This game makes almost everyone’s list as the greatest game ever made, including critically acclaimed companies.
I first picked this game up in 1999 on N64 when I was 4 years old. I still remember the iconic gold cartridge. It was played everyday by my brothers and I, as well as Goldeneye 007, Banjo Kazooie, Super Mario 64 and Mario Party 3.
As elite as those other games are in their own right, Ocarina of Time has created this invisible benchmark for games, which just seems to get further and further away to achieve as time passes. I find this ironic. The game had so many beautiful teachings and advice when it came to ‘time’, now it’s here in our world getting better and better over time.
Composer Koji Kondo had completely mastered the soundtrack/score for Ocarina of Time in EVERY single track.
I just wanted to emphasize how much of an impact this game has had on my life and will continue to do so for the rest of my days.
Thank you for pulling me out of my darkest days with each melody that was perfectly fitted for me to help acknowledge and understand the different emotions I was going through.
To the Greatest Game of all Time; you have saved me more times than I can count. Thank you, truly.
Is it possible to play OOT Online with a rom hack version of the game, such as Sealed Palace or Time lost? If so, what method should we use? We got it to work with Master Of Time just using the same method as the original OOT online, but the online mod won’t work with the other two hacks. We can get the games to play fine by themselves in offline mode, but can’t get them to work online.
Any help and advice is greatly welcome! Thank you in advance!
Behind the shop. I don't believe I've seen this before and I have no idea what connects to it, but it's been quite a while since I played. This is the Gamecube Ocarina regular/Master Quest version if it's any different.
Hey all! when i was younger i remember watching a gaming mysteries video about Oot and i remember the guy in the video talking about a unhinged post on a gaming blog website where a guy ranted (with alot of swearing) about how he finally found the tri force and no one else would ever figure out how to the post used alot of expletives and calling the fan base stupid and how he would never reveal how he did it ive tried to find this story but ive only found the one of that girl who claimed she found it im really curious what channel did this video or atleast where the post came from if you know the original post or the video im referencing please let me know! also feel free to share stories if you remember anything similar or have any cool stories about Oot Thanks for reading and have a great day! (sorry for spelling mistakes and lack of punctuation im dylexic)
I'm play on the 3ds and I just loaded it up and the map and whole world is kinda like flipped so like the buildings and the map everything what used to be on the right is now on the left etc how do I fix this ?
I laughed so hard at this
I just finished OoT and it's a fantastic game overall, one of the best in the series for sure. I remember seeing a post ranking the dungeons by enjoyability and by difficulty, and I just wanted to give my own takes on all the dungeons. (Including Mini Dungeons)
Enjoyability:
Gerudo Training Ground: It's a unique idea, with some cool puzzles. However, one flaw made it just completely unfun for me. The requirement for Silver Gauntlets. Personally, having to traverse the whole desert and start the Spirit Temple was just something I didn't expect to do. I've heard there's a route where you can do it without them, but there was no way I was gonna guess that.
Dodongo's Cavern: Second dungeon in the game, but it's just kinda bland. I don't really like the way it's structured, and it's just sort of annoying to go through. Boss is cool though, serves as the inspiration for Scaldera.
Beneath the Well: Cool entrance, using the Song of Storms and all. Fun to explore, but a bit too non-linear for me. The dead hands boss was a completely unexpected and scary boss, very fun though and sets the theme nicely for the Shadow Temple
Ice Cavern: Really cool theme, but catching the blue flame in the bottle felt really unintuitive. Not really a complaint, because that's more just for me personally, but aside that, it just felt way too short to give a truly enjoyable experience. The last room where you get the Iron Boots looks really cool so that's a bonus.
Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly: Interesting dungeon to say the least, the first part is annoying, as in figuring out how to get the Princess up, but the layout of the dungeon past that point feels fun to explore, especially killing the tentacles. The Big Octorok was truly just annoying, but the main boss of the dungeon made up for it.
Fire Temple: This temple was just sort of frustrating, freeing the Gorons was a bit of a chore, and the hammer is kind of underwhelming compared to the Skull Hammer from Wind Waker. However, these are the only negatives I can really say for this dungeon. Good layout, fun puzzles, and a great theme. Volvagia's fight drags on a bit, but it's still fun.
Inside the Great Deku Tree: Intro dungeon, only takes about 20 minutes. Besides the (understandable) lack of content in this dungeon, it's simplistic, but what can you expect from the tutorial dungeon as well as the first 3D dungeon in all of Zelda? The reason it's so enjoyable for me is that it creates a strong and unique start to the game, which just makes OoT all the more memorable.
Water Temple: This was a complicated temple. Just to clear things up, it was honestly close to the Forest Temple in difficulty for me, and harder than the Fire Temple. The whole mechanic of shifting the water level is very overwhelming, but it was also engaging for me. I loved predicting that the item was going to be a longer hookshot, as it let me know where I could go and where I couldn't. I also loved using the map to my best ability, and it was just satisfying to complete. The theme could honestly be better, and the boss was honestly horrible.
Ganon's Castle: Definitely one of the most memorable dungeons in game, just so satisfying to go through and see each barrier break. Only complaint was that most challenges were too easy, and that some of them didn't really match the theme or use the corresponding dungeon items. The theme is fantastic, and the boss battle is iconic.
Forest Temple: This would honestly be higher, had I not been stuck for like an hour trying to figure out where that small key was (the one in the first room). I couldn't have gotten the compass, I'm not sure it was even possible to get the compass before that small key, and that just really frustrated me. Besides that, the theme is honestly the best in game, the music is fantastic, and the boss is amazing.
Spirit Temple: Amazing temple. Seriously, this could be switched around with #1 honestly, it's hard to decide. This temple uses Child Link in a way that's easy to understand, and then seamlessly transitions into Adult Link for the rest. It has some engaging puzzles, using the mirror shield and all, however, they were honestly lackluster compared to the mirror shield puzzles in Majora's Mask and Wind Waker. One of the best bosses at the end of it, and a great overall style.
Shadow Temple: Some may disagree with me on this pick, but I just found this temple pretty much perfect. The only complaint I could even think of is that the puzzles are too easy, (maybe not enough hover boots usage) but even then, it's refreshing after the Water Temple. Everything in this dungeon just clicked for me, with most puzzles just being extremely intuitive or well-made. The theme is fantastic, and the boss, Bongo Bongo, is definitely one of if not the most memorable boss in game.

Beneath the Well
