back in the day, i was playing on the original release of dkc on the nes, and found a really interesting glitch, on the first chapter area, if you walk into the cave cave transition right after the reptile rumble level, by spamming movement keys; and maybe pressing buttons, while your character is moving through the cave transition , you might teleported to either the next map, or the top of the mountain, i dont remember which as this was over 10 years ago, but if anyone is looking for a speed running glitch, this is a good one, this could save over 10 or more minutes, which could lead to a new record, if anyone else knew about this, i would like to know.
What do you think?
One of the most obscure Donkey Kong games, so I thought it was appropriate for the season.
I don't know why but I am fascinated by the unused content in Donkey Kong 64. The game itself I loved a lot more when I was 12. Now? I think the bosses are awesome but I don't think I would ever bother to finish the whole game. Why do I like the unused content? I have no idea. I am just... interested in it. Anyone else think the same way?
Who is with me?
I recently fully completed each game in the original SNES trilogy. I bought tropical freeze a while ago but only played about two worlds, so I haven't given it a proper chance (mainly because I was so used to the SNES controls that the new controls felt strange). Should I try completing returns and tropical freeze as well, and if so, which one should I play first?
I intend to enjoy it because it is in my neighborhood.
So I’m running DK64 on P64RA right now and literally the game is unplayable for some reason. Every time I move or do anything I get get warped back to my house. I’m scheduled to stream literally RIGHT NOW (8PM-12AM CDT on 10/24) and want to be able to get back on and play it since I tried once already and it was shitting out on me so I really need to see the fix ASAP. Thanks and not trying to sound rude.
This video reveals the purpose for the unused object called a "K. Rool Balloon". So during the fight with K. Rool in the Lanky phase, the original concept was to pop a balloon instead of playing your instrument in order to attract K. Rool's attention. Cue The More You Know Jingle
