It can be any Zelda characters from any games, canon or not. Which characters would you like to see/play as in a new Hyrule Warriors game?
This works with any playable character of course, I just put Link since he's technically the protagonist (I think)
I wish I would have known how EASY AoC was before getting the definitive edition of Hyrule warriors. Any tips? Cause right now I’m struggling more with this game than I did playing dark souls. The gameplay IS probably better than AoC (it’ll take some getting used to though), but the Shiekah slate functions way better than the item system in the definitive edition. To be fair, I’ve 100%ed AoC numerous times and have over 6-700 hours in the game, so it is strange to switch over (primarily timing and the lack of weak point control)
I got the loyla fairy and refreshed 3 times. Idk how many graditude crystals i fed her and idk if i even did. I had a long break. Please explain it very simple and Tell me how to check everything etc. All my Charakters are around lvl 70 some higher some lower. And my favorite Charakter is lvl 245👌
What is the best base weapon stat obtainable? I am trying to make the best weapons and am wondering if the starting stat of the weapon affects it. If so, what is the highest stat and will the stat of the weapons I fuse affect the weapon?
My kid and I think this game has one of the best sound tracks ever. I always jam to Silent Guardians, but Psychostorm is also great. Then Eclipse of the Moon comes on and we just get so excited. We stayed up late last night trying to get them past those vulnerable keep boards which you almost need two players to complete it.
everytime i play this mission i cant complete is because it keeps failing when no enemies have entered the base, what do i do
Been Playing through the adventure maps, and recently hit grand travels. Don't ask me how, because I feel like it was easier than it should have been, but after unlocking >!Phantom Zelda!< I made the beeline straight for the max rank weapon and got it. Having done so, I stopped paying that much attention to the weapons drops for said character until I noticed a while later that I somehow have multiple of the level 2 weapon, despite not having done the mission for it or any other tier besides the max. Has this happened to anyone else?
Yes, I know what to do. I created the weapon rank three potion, I have slots and stars on her top tier weapon with 4 stars. But the Divisive mission on lorule with Cia and or Yuga are both making me very angry because they're brutal as hell! And I'm using her spell book too!
I beat the game (including WW stuff) yesterday and now I'm going back for all the collectibles. I'm on The Armies of Ruin, I'm playing on Hard mode with the correct weapon, and I've summoned the Great Fairy, but the second Gold Skulltula didn't appear.
Anybody that has a clue about cosplays? How expensive do you think sooga will be (commission)
It seems that any fairy can use any skill and use any type magic regardless of their type, so does it actually matter which type your fairy is? Would a fire fairy have a stronger fire explosion as opposed to dark, water, or anything else?
Sorry I can't spell the creature name.. but is there a good map or guide somewhere that can help me identity what I need to do for the tokens on the adventure maps? I'm just trying to 100% the maps but they're holding me back.
I tried to find the answer to this question to no success. I've wondered for a while if giant bosses are effected by morale boosts or not. They don't glow like other enemies but it certainly feels like they are stronger when there's a rally captain on the field, such as in final battle stages in adventure maps. What I'm not sure of though is if they're actually boosted or if it just feels that way due to having an underpowered character.
I am playing the powers collide mission. I am at the point where everything on the map is dead aside from everything in the enemy base. Darunia won't move an inch. He's right outside the cliffside keep. I try pushing him, but he just runs back to that spot. Am I fucked? Do I need to restart the mission? This is really annoying if I do need to do that...
Does the 1% attack increase apply to the base power, or the current power?
This one has stopped my progress toward the trident. I could beat the enemies, but Agitha's attacks just end up killing the wrong character, especially with Midna taking every hit with Lana, and dying so much quicker. If I try to hold back and hit extremely precisely or try to juggle, I end up getting hit too much and lose the A. Also Wizzro's attacks are a pain in the ass but Midna's suicide rush is so much worse.
Is there something I'm missing with this character? Had trouble with Ghirahim but grinding him worked out, this time it isn't really a strength issue.
Late Update: Thanks for the suggestions! ended up grinding Agatha pretty hard, came back and was able to get em easy. light attacks & careful juggling, plus the same attack is fantastic for smashes.
The My Fairy system is really confusing...
I'm shocked that there is so little information online about how to tackle this insanely hard square.
Defeating The Imprisoned, Ganon, and Phantom Ganon in 7 minutes for the A-rank seems impossible.
Does anyone have any strategies for this square?
Is this even doable single player?
Loved the base game, played it with a friend and am considering buying the base game and dlc, is the dlc worth the extra 20 bucks?
If we get a Hyrule Warriors sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, it's gotta have songs inspired by Studio Ghibli classics like Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke (which was set in the Muromachi period), Spirited Away, Tales from Earthsea (based on books), Howl's Movin' Castle (based on the book), The Wind Rises (which was set in World War II), The Secret World of Arrietty (based on The Borrowers book series), and The Boy and the Heron. All these songs should be orchestrated, not rock n' roll. Plus, the songs could be dramatic, sad, happy, sinister, AND adventurous songs. Link's theme should be more epic, more heroic.
I've seen that there have been a couple similar posts, but I want to throw my thoughts out there and see what others think.
First off, the main question of which is better. In my opinion, HW is just better, full stop. AoC had a couple cool things, but the gameplay was less memorable, the gear system sucked, the story was meh, (I absolutely despise anything kind of time shenanigans story. The only exception I've seen that comes to mind is outer wilds) and the characters were just generally far less fun to use. There's also the fact that unlocking skills and upgrades for characters is locked behind progression and also can require grinding for certain materials, which given the less fun gameplay kinda sucks to the ease of the badge system in HW. Plus the HW bagdes just give you more options for upgrades to begin with. Ultimately in my opinion the only thing AoC has over HW is that it doesn't have the imprisoned in it.
I realize now that was a little long winded so I'll try to break it up a bit more. Let's talk about the difficulty of the games. HW feels great in that regard. As long as you don't try to dive into high difficulty missions too early you usually sit in a nice middle ground difficulty wise. And when you fail you can usually easily identify why exactly you lost to prevent it from happening when you retry.
AoC on the other hand, was all over the place. Most of the game was extremely easy, with the only "difficulty" coming from how tedious enemies like the talos are to fight. Then out of nowhere there are a few missions where the difficulty just takes a 90° turn straight up, where I started to question if they were even possible.
Next comes the characters. I don't think it's even a matter of opinion that HW is just better in that regard. While it's nice getting to see a bit more lore for the champions in AoC, the roster is noticeably more limited and the pairs of Ravioli/Teba and Mipha/Sidon are just a bit too similar to each other in my opinion.
HW though has a number of entirely unique characters, as well as getting to see what some characters we know would do in an actual combat scenario. Admittedly some are a bit silly (looking at you King Daphnes) but it's still fun to see them. All the characters feel unique to me, to the point where the closest similarity I can think of is comparing Lana with the spirit portal to Cia.
On the topic of characters, costumes/skins/whatever you want to call them. Again, is it even really a contest? All AoC has is the ability to put Link into armor from BotW, the champion attire for the champions, and some actually decent outfits for Zelda. HW has unlockable outfits for all the characters, and while they are mostly palette swaps they allow for far more customization and just look interesting getting to see different colors for a character. Some of my favorites are the grey/black scarred darunia, and guardian of time Cia.
There's more I feel like I could say, but this is already a very long post. If there's anything you think I've missed about AoC that puts it in higher standing be sure to bring it up so I can either try to debunk you or begrudgingly agree. And of course, any general conversation about the games is welcome.
Seriously, how is every single guide not just a tutorial on how to get Fairy Fountain+ asap? I unlocked it last week, and i just breezed through the entire Lorule map in record pace with zero issues. Vastly underlevelled, only 500 power Master Sword, no defensive badges on anyone, just double bombos fairy blast spam combined with glass cannon for the bosses. The speed at which i clear maps now compared to before i so insane that i feel like i've retroactively wasted my time by clearing any map beforehand that wasn't neccessary to clear for me to unlock this skill ASAP.
Seriously, I really wish i knew this beforehand, because most guides i read either made this sound like it wasn't a priority, or that getting it was impossible until you've just amassed food from hundreds of hours of playtime, both of which are untrue. It took me a massive 2 hours of dedicated food grinding on just 2 different maps to get this from scratch.
My pitch for a Hyrule Warriors 2 roster assuming we get 15 additional slots for characters/weapons than in the definitive edition. I removed Cia from the base roster alongside her goons, but replaced them with new original characters based on other Zelda bosses.

Any ideas? Game bug?
Thanks in advance!
I find the food thing a little confusing so I was wondering anyone knows which food I should grind to get the gold weapon master skill unlocked
Howdy. So it seems I am still the newest member of the all medals club around here. But something I saw a lot of on my post was how 445 hours was fast for many people. Wasn't totally sure what to make of that, so I figured it might be good to make a small write up on what I determined to be the most efficient path to all medals and ask y'all for more feedback and opinions.
DISCLAIMER: I am not some HW know-it-all nor am I a guide maker. I know for a fact some things in here can be improved for speed, since there is an all medals speedrun. However, I'm not exactly after a new WR and I'd reckon y'all aren't either.
Also I know this topic crops up here and there so this may come across as beating a dead horse, but as someone who scoured those posts here, I found not all of them were particularly helpful/accurate (at least not for me, anyway).
ALSO also this is a recollection of how I did things, so if something seems... Superfluous, it very well may be. If you see I did something that isn't necessary for all medals, then just decide for yourself if you want to do it. Anyway.
So the order I went in:
Legends Mode (Normal) - Play through the whole campaign, get all the tools, and unlock all the characters you can get here. I opted for normal for the slight experience boost since you will heavily rely on Link this go around anyway, so it's good to get him (and others) an extra level or two.
Adventure Mode (Characters) - Unlock all characters on each map. Even Yuga and Ravio on the Lorule map are pretty easy to get to with Lv1 weapons.
Legends Mode (Easy) - Last stop before we dive into Adventure Mode for real. This is primarily to get a few more levels and maybe some hands-on experience with some other characters you otherwise wouldn't use.
Adventure Mode 2: Electric Boogaloo (Fairy + Food) - This was my biggest brained play. I've seen a lot of guides say to simply beeline for the higher tier weapons and call it square, but that got really frustrating really fast. Your highest priority is unlocking all the food first. Really. On the first map, grab Loyla (the one who begins with Glass Canon) and then make your way to all the unlockable foods on the map.
WHILE YOU ARE DOING THIS, GRAB ALL THE WEAPONS ON THE BOARD AS WELL. While your priority is food, you should also multitask and grab weapons so they'll drop as you go along. When you have unlocked all the food and weapons on one map, move to the next. I believe Termina is the last map with unique food, those being the seed items. Do note that somewhere along the way, feed Loyla enough fire food to give her the double Bombos. The sooner, the easier your life will be.
Legends Mode (Hard) - Tired yet? Hard mode isn't bad if you've made it through unlocking all the foods. But to be clear, get the second Skulltulas now instead of later. The hardest thing in this game outside of Challenge Mode is Hero difficulty, so I don't exactly recommend trying to also grab Skulltulas during those.
My Fairy - This is rather RNG dependent, but this is when I had enough food to start feeding Loyla. Do you have to use Loyla? No, but Glass Canon is always handy in a pinch. There are one of two primary traits you're after right now: Material Master(+) and Magic Fountain(+). I got Material Master+ first and think that may have been an oversight. Magic Fountain+ allows you to simply not participate in most maps. Regardless, pick one and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH FIRE FOOD ON HAND AFTER GETTING THE DESIRED TRAITS TO PUT DOUBLE BOMBOS RIGHT BACK ON YOUR FAIRY. Do note that as long as you do not back out of the My Fairy menu, the game won't save what foods you gave. If you mess up or are trying to really maximize your food efficiency, just close the game and restart. This is a life saver.
Adventure Mode 3: The Adventure Mode-enning (Weapons) - Ah yes. The Grind™. I feel like the quest for the fully powered Master Sword is the most infamous thing about this game. I see a lot of strats say to get Sheik's Lv4+ weapons ASAP, but it honestly wasn't a hindrance for me not to have done that. This is also where you having unlocked all the food will pay dividends - especially in Koholint, where you'll walk out of maps with 15 foods. But yes, this takes time. Through this, I used Link as much as possible to get him to level 255 by the end of it, but really just pick your favorite character (Linkle is another great pick, as is Sheik).
Sword of Evil's Bane - I think you know what to do.
Adventure Mode 4: Part 1 (1 - 4) - Now is your time to clear out the first four maps with all A ranks. Not much to say, but note that your next priority will be more food so try and find ways to maximize your food intake.
My Fairy (All Skills) - This is where I finally got Magic Fountain+. The skill is broken. Getting it earlier may be for the best. It's possible you may not have enough food to get your maxed out fairy, but since you unlocked the food first, there's a good chance you do with enough finagling about and resetting the game.
Adventure Mode 4: Part 2 (5 - 6) - Exactly what you think.
The Real Worst Grind in the Game (Badges) - This is entirely optional, but highly recommended. Badges help A LOT. And getting through the last three Adventure Mode boards without repeating any maps cuz you didn't A rank the first time becomes very frustrating very fast. This is way less likely to be an issue when you have all the defense badges for characters like... Tingle, lol. There is a wealth of guides for material grinding. And I know the argument can be made that since we have 3 whole boards left, grinding now is pointless, but I promise you, there is simply no way to make up like, 100 Stone Blin Helmets or 25 Ganon Manes or 55 Gohma Acids in 3 boards.
The Slightly Less Awful Grind (Weapons) - I mentioned that I gave everyone a Lv4+/5*/8 slot weapon, and this is when I did that. This is another peace of mind thing, but honestly, this didn't take long with the right set up. I think it only took about 120 runs (approx. 2 min each) to get said copy of every weapon. I'd say it's worth it.
Adventure Mode 5: Rip and Tear - Here we go, lads. Take your maxed out Fairy, your fully kitted badge board, and your Lv4+/5*/8 slot weapons and wreck shop. The last three Adventure Mode boards (and the Rewards board) went SUPER fast for me. Like, finishing these went faster than cleaning up the first two boards thanks to all of my broken garbage. And it's just super gratifying, like getting the Gravity Suit in Metroid: Zero Mission. Nothing can stop you now.
Legends Mode (Something can stop you now) - This is the worst. I hated this. It was a pain. This is honestly why I opted to go above and beyond with the badges and weapons. Hero difficulty in Legends will eat your lunch. Abuse the fairy and be thankful you already have all the Skulltulas.
Stand on your back porch and view the sunrise with a warm cup of coffee in your hand. This is decidedly NOT optional. Treat yourself, you absolute legend.
Hopefully this helps or inspires someone to make some corrections to this order. That said, if you think there's a better order for something, please comment and discuss!!
And of course if anyone has any questions for me, please ask - I like frequenting this community (I mean, I feel like I kinda have to be now, lol).
