What are some fun head canons that you have about Osamu, like favorite food, funny story, hobbies, etc.
Not a Miwa fan, but I can’t lie that his
“Ignoring people with trauma like Chika”
Cause here is the thing they kill neighbour monsters and humanoid neighbours but they all bail out in the end and return to thier ships
In the anime we never saw an agent kill another human but do border agents have the mentality for it because most of them from 16-20
You have tropes like Persona where killing is forbidden even if thier enemy was a rapist/drug Lord/con artist who drove people to suicide
Then you have JJK that if you mess up you get killed so you must go all out like Yuji vs Chose “i know sukuna interfered but Yuji took a fat L and nobody could have safed him”
like, what if 1 gunner decided to grab the opponent's attention big time and the second one secretly shoots their feet or stuff
i sometimes think about round 7 where some agents got their feet blasted
It's kind of crazy that the most we learn about Amo is through character bios and Q&As, like the recent one. The recent one adds so much to his character and implies so many things about how he exists on his own as this entity in Border, as someone people rarely see, interact with, and only know rumours that this monster exists. The loneliness and isolation of strength.
Ashihara has essentially confirmed two things. That Amo is, by far, the greatest talent in ALL of Border. If you look at the BBF, his stats essentially range around the top 3 A ranks. So you're telling me that's him fresh as a B Rank, not his full potential?
He never properly worked his way up, trained, or developed in other fields, like how everyone goes through the process and becomes stronger, and ultimately reach their goal of becoming A Rank, yet he was strong and he doesn't even have Neighbor hax.
Yet he never hungered for A Rank. He doesn't care about the same things that others do and seeks true strength, hence he becomes S Rank. He never got to experience the same journey that everyone else had of working with an operator, developing teams, forming bonds, camaraderie, and experiences that shape you as a human being. That is so interesting to me, despite being a character who's had little screen time, it implies so much about his character and recontextualises what we have seen or known about him.
He truly is a lonely character who willingly takes the Black Trigger, either because it was offered to him or because he desired it since he was the only one compatible with it. I'm so curious about what made him resolve for this decision and accept the burden of essentially becoming the strongest. I'm fiending so hard for more Amo content, man. I want to understand what this means for him psychologically, his philosophy, and how this ties into the theme of being alone at the summit.
I’m standing on the fact that I still think replica is alive and will come back they have his sub piece that he dispersed behind and I think he could be restored but a possible story line I think aftokrator could have brainwashed him or just completely killed him
One thing that always tickles the back of my mind when watching attackers is the simple middle school science equation F=MA (force = mass × acceleration)
From everything I've seen, triggers and trion don't do much to change this very much. A very big and strong attacker can use their high mass (as well as a massive weapon) to increase their force output, they don't need to be super fast to deal a lot of damage.
On the other hand, very light characters need to compensate mass with acceleration. That's where we get Yuma, Midorikawa, Kazama, and basically all other scorpion users. Scorpion is light and so you have much more acceleration afforded to you.
For almost every speed attacker, scorpion makes the most sense, it's just easier and more versatile when you are doing the kinds of maneuvers that these types of attackers go for.
However, there are some significant drawbacks. It's somewhat implied that fast is slightly more of a limiting factor compared to mass. If we think about trion as converting energy to mass, ibis has a huge and slow blast, while lighting has a small amount of mass but travels very fast. Lightning can't penetrate a shield, but ibis can. Moreover scorpion being incredibly fragile, it brakes on tough/thick shields, and I don't think we've seen anyone even try to cut through escudo with a scorpion. If we look at the fight with Galopoula, I do not think that Zazama could have meaningfully contributed to cutting off Vasilissa's arm. It was several hits with Konami and Tachikawa that did the job, the two heavier attackers. Supports this argument.
Scorpion seems to me, to be a tricksy trigger that allows for the trigger user to work around enemy defences, and find weak points, rather than meaningfully cutting through armor or shields. I think, despite being told that scorpion has high offense, it really only has enough for cutting through normal trion bodies and the average unarmored trion soldier. (This is supported by the fact that kitora could not penetrate the ilgar. Despite other triggers like Tachikawa's kogestu to be more than capable of cutting through an ilgar. Despite him being no. 1, kitora, an a rank member, was unable to even mar the armor, it seems to me that the issue lies with the trigger and not kitora herself.
That all being said, this is the glaring advantage that I see with raygust. For one, pretty much the fastest a normal trigger can go, seems to be with thruster (Acceleration). Moreover it is the heaviest of the triggers (Mass). So it seems pretty obvious to me that a sufficiently skilled and strong speed based attacker could choose raygust to devastating effect. Combined with well placed grasshopper and I think it's a deadly combination.
Indeed I think that there is a certian amount of presidence for this loadout in the form of Konami. She is without a doubt, a speed based fighter, and get her Sōgetsu (Axe) is incredibly large and heavy. This is perfectly illustrated by the aforementioned cutting off Vasilissa's arm. Fast and heavy and hard.
As far as a standard trigger loadout, you could definitely recreate this with raygust, maybe even being more versatile compared to Konami's Sōgetsu.
For one, the ability to change form I think is very important to this load out and fighting style. Depending on the situation and maneuver, you could transform Raygust into a large lance, putting all the mass and acceleration into a tiny point. Using thruster and the attacker's natural speed, one could shields, armor, what have you. In a different context, you could turn it into a heavy hammer, and using grasshopper and thruster, bashing in someone's brain at a weak point in their defense.
With a more standard sword form, I think you could attempt to create a rough facsimile of Idaten with grasshopper or with wires placed by yourself or comrades.
I think the possibilities here are very strong, especially when you consider just how much you can augment your acceleration way more than just throwing a knife or doing a shield bash. I also think that this kind of load out would make a speed based attacker much more able to defend themselves if they get bogged down into taking fire from gunners and shooters. The shield function that is most commonly used is a perfect way to take cover while you get out of there.
tl;dr F=MA, scorpion has low mass, so high acceleration is needed. Raygust is high mass, so high acceleration and high mass is even better. Raygust with thruster is best acceleration with a boost of mass so it's very good if you can handle it.
I just got a A7000R wifi router from someone today and honestly now that I have it physically it reminds me of a flattened out Enedorad Unit XD
I really could just swap the front LED for a Big ass orange bulb and it would be perfect.
Doing a reread of world trigger and it's just struck me as odd that both kumagai and sayoko are there but Nasu isn't. Are there any other curiously absent agents from the selection exam?
I've been thinking about the show for a while and I wanted to ramble about Osamu for a bit, He's a tactician thrown into the role of a combatant albeit self imposed(?) And is told to make it work, and to his credit he does, not by the typical shounen route of "pushing past your limits" but working within them, he's one of the most realistic examples from a fictional story about making progress in something you're not good at.
!
If some squads had to change strategies like if kazama squad can’t be invisible or tamakoma 2 can’t use wires etc What would there new strategies be like?
I just wanted to know what other things does people that like wt also like. If possible I would like you to follow this list of questions (more like a survey). Starting from me:

If they added a 4th trigger along with kogetsu scorpion rauygust what would you guys think it would be like?
Childish much ik, but I still enjoy knowing that I share the same birthday with a character of one of my fav animes / mangas, I rarely do find at that
How can you guys remember the squad names and their members names and who belong to who 😢 or is it with time when reading the Manga? I have like the weakest memory ever
Feedback on day3: I saw a few comments on having the shield form being placed on your back, I suppose you could activate it in shield mode and holster it on your back. Somebody wrote for trion bullets being able to be stored in the loop thing of the handle for firing later, which was something I also had in mind so I quite liked it. Another thing I saw people write down was a Spiky shield mode for less Swapping between modes, and I think that could happen if the user had enough time to shape-shift the shield.
Anyways, time for the subject of day 4: the bullet triggers. So Asteroid, Meteor, Viper and Hound, both in gun form and cube form. (I decided to skip kogetsu:Spear and sogetsu since there really isn't enough information to figure out what improvements they need, feel free to comment if you want them on day 5 lol)
I've been collecting the World Trigger manga for a few years and and today I finally received the last volume I needed to complete my collection up til the most recent English release! It's been a long road getting here but I'm so glad to finally have them all.
Some feedback on yesterday's post: I don't really know why yall wanted to nerf it that much, but I suppose it makes sense considering the absurd amount of stuff people have done with it. Some people said to give it more durability as well, which is understandable given it's (alleged) fragility.
Anyways time for day 3: Raygust
I have been getting into it just recently, my boy Melvin I think likes it too.
Little dude sits 2 inches from the screen and watches every night lol.
Some feedback on the kogetsu improvement ideas: there were a lot of people saying customize the blade's shape, length etc, and they made sense, but if Gen'yō could be activated for a long time then I think that would be the best possible solution. I quite liked the idea where you could change the center of mass of kogetsu for heavy or quick strikes, too. Tbh I did not expect the amount of people that thought yoneyas spear was a Scorpion lol
Anyways we're continuing this series on day 2 with Scorpion
So this is basically a series where I'm asking what improvements can be made to a certain Trigger. Day 1: Kogetsu.
I did something like this for Undead Unluck and Sakamoto Days, and I thought it would be fun to try it here. I think there was something like this recently, where the Shonen Jump description was referenced a lot, but this is slightly different. Like if you were trying to get your friends to read this, how would you do it?
I'm at episode 10 and so far I'm enjoying the anime but the animation and art style look a bit rough. Does it get better afterwards?
