Well it is really funny that, the scene where keima is trying to tell kusonagi that he have learned the meaning of world in different meaning, this scene appears to have a stereo sound effect which you need to wear your headphones and you will realises that your left ear is the sound of mudo and the right side is the sound of galgame girls, good effort on this anime
Hey everyone interested in following one of Wakaki's latest series. Despite the gap between releases, we're still chipping away at this series, one chapter at a time.
This week's chapter was a lot of finicky moving parts, combined with one big moment where we almost misinterpreted who was speaking. Peeling back the curtain a bit, one small, interesting niche bit is that in this chapter, Mishima addresses with the honorific of 氏 ('shi'), which 1) means nothing to the average English-reading manga fan, 2) differs from how he was previously using '-kun', 3) is mostly used in Japanese to extremely politely refer people you don't know in Newspapers or academic journals, and 4) is occasionally used by Japanese geeks and 'geek' characters to refer to their peers.
Special thanks as always to my translator-collaborator /u/TARDISboy. Translating Japanese is tricky enough as is, so having someone willing to spend that time deciphering the chapter's Kansai-ben as well, is something that I'm always grateful for.
Dating sim…or something is it similar to vn is that thing still alive today?
It’s not on crunchy roll
Apologies for the delay. The series is on a quasi-weekly schedule (3 weekly issues on, 1 weekly issue off), but we've had some real-life issues that have taken up some of our time.
Anyway, this chapter was interesting. Like with 365 Days to the Wedding, one of the small niche details I like doing is using 'canonical', official translated terms for whatever the institution or business uses in English translation, and so I literally looked up the Kyoto University syllabus to see what their official English names of courses are. Also, see if you can catch the TWGOK easter egg in this chapter.
Special thanks to my translator-collaborator /u/TARDISboy. I try to be eagle-eyed in spotting typos, but it's always the case that your eyes glance over the typos that make sense to you, so I really appreciate the extra set of eyes.
Sorry if I'm posting too much anyway which one is your favourite mine is ofcourse the first op,1st ed but shiori version and ofcourse the most iconic ed 8 when keima sings
Does anyone knows when and where exactly the title was spoken in anime/manga
So 3-4 months ago I started series then moved to manga but due to some circumstances i had to stop reading at 220 ch or something....i want to complete it but it's hard to pick up again because i already know spoiler about winner girl , like link is broken or something like that and if i complete it , i will feel empty... since I have heard ending is rushed so i feel I won't get nice conclusion...
What's your favourite scene in twgok....for me it was when keima saves shiori from the piles of book... The monologue of shiori, music, the exact time op plays and the animation it's just too amazing....
Can someone please explain to me why they don’t have the ops on spotify, or why they were taken down
I searched through the official OST, yet I couldn't find it...
I'm really craving for music that sounds similar or in the same genre (also what is the genre called?) of TWGOK op. Also if you know songs that is english but have that japanese accent will be greatly appreciated.
On my next path in romance animes after finishing Date A Live, I of course had to go with this anime. I was not disappointed at all, the characters absolutely carried this show.
One glaring issue though which kept annoying me is that clear lack of just depth, it really felt more like a comedy than anything else really. Season 3 fixed that somewhat and I was really happy on how it ended. But throughout the anime I felt that we wasted time on random filler episodes and we never got to go deeper into the relationships and thought processes of our main two characters.
Keima never feels like he grows, every girl he conquered forgetting about their time with him never affects him in any way and at first I thought it was awesome because it made Keima feel kind of badass and mature, that hes able to actually bear with the burden of remembering a relationship, but no we don't get any insight in that. (Chihiro being the one girl to make him cry also didn't stand right with me, I expected it to be atleast Kanon or Ayumi, Chihiro is nothing special to me)
Im going to start reading the manga because Im sure its probably poor adaptations or whatever and Im hoping it extends beyond the shows ending, I havent researched into it.
Anyways for a romance anime its definitely a 7.5/10 great ending, amazing characters. I love how its a love letter to VNs and dating sims aswell, that is beautifu. Now though im on to the next romance anime.
You are right, Kaori. We ARE cut from the same cloth.
I wanted to reject you. Convince myself that you were wrong.
But I just don’t care anymore. I’m gonna manipulate you.
After I come back from the past – I will dump all other girls for the one I love
No matter which girl, no matter how they love me, I’m gonna abandon them
I don’t need to find excuses for myself anymore
Maybe 50 years after this, the way it affected my life will become apparent
In the long run these choices of actions will probably make me happy
So I’ll keep sacrificing other people
For as long as necessary. This is indeed the true way to achieve happiness.
In case you weren't aware, Wakaki (author of TWGOK) started a new manga series this month, called "Yoshida Lemon Drops". I've always been interested in seeing what he makes next, and given my long-standing love for TWGOK, I've also always been willing to give his series a shot. I really enjoyed his previous series, "365 Days to the Wedding" / "Are You Really Getting Married" / "Kekkon Surutte Hontou Desu", and both followed it and scanlated for its entire run.
So now me and my previous collaboration partner, /u/TARDISboy have both decided we want to do that with the new series. No promises our enthusiasm or interest in the series will last the whole way like it did for 365 Days, but we're up to take this one chapter at a time, and release these amateur fan translations. Hopefully we give this series a good enough start amongst English manga-reading audiences that if we ever decide to drop it, someone else will be inspired to take up the torch.
I have a ton of things to say about this chapter and my initial impressions of the series - as well as some truly deep dives into trivia and the background of this series, but for the sake brevity, I'll leave that for the comments section.
Special thanks to my translator-collaborator /u/TARDISboy. This chapter was a frankly insane amount of work, so I appreciate all the help he provides.
