Abiding by the first two is standard no matter where you post on this site, but in this community there is an expectation of practicing good reddiquette when you can. This includes your comments, submissions, and any other communication or activity on this subreddit. Also do not post NSFW content or illegal content.
Posts must discuss a topic. Put in the effort to write at least a few sentences talking about it. You can't just bring something up for others to discuss without discussing the topic first yourself. The exception is when you share content which is worthwhile in its own right, such as news, or art.
Examples which are NOT allowed, without additional discussion:
If you have a question which is asking for some information, instead of starting a discussion about a topic, don't post it here. Instead, please ask in the "Q&A and Ruling Megathread". It's the post pinned at the top of /r/Yugioh. We also have /r/Yugioh101. It is a subreddit for helping new and returning players. If you are a new player asking for advice, we recommend you post there instead.
You cannot ask about what items are worth. You cannot ask if cards are worth grading, or what grade they would get. You cannot buy, sell, or trade. It is okay to discuss the economy of the game. You can discuss price trends, etc. For checking prices, use sites like TCGplayer, Cardmarket, or ebay. For niche items, you might not be able to find prices on these sites, but we still don't allow posts for asking about them. For buying, selling, or trading, use /r/YGOMarketplace.
When posting your Deck List, you must make sure all card names are comfortably readable. We recommend using a site like YGOPRODECK to share the Deck List. You can use a screenshot of your Deck, but the image resolution must be good enough that the card names can be read. You cannot rely on people recognizing the cards from the images alone. Your post's title must make it clear which deck you're playing.
If you're posting your own art, your post much say that it's yours. For example: "Kaiba artwork I made". If you're posting someone else's art, or news, your post must include a link to the source. Make sure that any information you post is correct. Make sure that it is not presented in a misleading way.
90% of your activity on this subreddit must be unrelated to advertising your content. For example, if you want to post one of your YouTube videos, you should participate in the comments of other posts first. Engage in genuine discussions with people. If you think you have something important to advertise, message the mods first to ask if we can make exception.
The exact phrasing you use in card text is important. Look at recent cards with similar effects to yours. Read these to learn how card text is written: Problem Solving Card Text and Lantern's Custom Card Guide. Your title must make it clear that this is not a real card. Include a link to the source for artwork used.
Do not make posts which are just for showing off pictures of cards, or other items like boxes, packs, or action figures. Please use /r/YugiohShowcase instead.
We don't allow memes. You can post in /r/YugiohMemes instead.
We don't allow multiple posts about the same topic within a short space of time. If there has recently been another post about the same topic, you should comment in that one instead of making a new post.

This rule is the reason Joey couldn’t finish Kaiba in the battle for bronze. Why did no one call out this cheating from either party during the episodes
Other EVIL HERO Rarities were not revealed today. Only their localized name were revealed.
ARG☆S has been localized into the name \"Argostars\" for TCG
It's been a year this 2024. I honestly did not expect and was very surprised to see Baronne and Borreload gone in April, but, looking back, this was a very welcome change. Also, it may look like the Apollousa ban was kind of a "self-fulfilling prophecy" following Baronne, but can't say it was not good for the game, on the contrary, Apo was long overdue her stay in the metagame. Honestly, I'm kinda looking forward to the aftermath of these changes a couple of years after!
In another note, I'm so glad to see some old cards coming out to see the light of day, such as all the Rulers, Pankratops and Lunalight Tiger. Some other changes were "weird" to say the least, such as Protos, Kirin or Colossus returning, I guess there are some things we are yet to see with these changes, as well as precedents for future changes (such as the obvious Master Peace return someday in 2025).
And of course, glad that some of the unsearchable continuous floodgates were restricted, blessed.
Off to 2025!
Just a curious question do you guys ever wipe your sleeves down when they’re dirty or do you just buy a new pack and replace them. I know people who resleeve their cards like weekly. I feel like that’s excessive and doesn’t make financial sense. I also notice i brick more when my sleeves are older because it causes cards to clump. Im just curious on others opinions and what they do personally.
Just to be clear i don think Vrains is a bad show. I my opinion there is no bad YGO show (Except for maybe Arc-V) and i think is a solid 6/10. But there is a lot of problem in this show that did not hook me and makes feel disappointing with the final product especially since if the last Gallop YGO show.
I gonna list the problem that i have with Vrains.
The Gallop character writing: I think Vrains is the show that shows Gallop strengths and weakness in YGO, and the characters are a good example with this. Everyone that is not Playmaker, Revolver or Soulburner, gets shafted and only exist to lose to the main villain. Also a lot of minor characters that feel that could be important were wasted or not given focus for me to care about
Blue Angel was a punching bag for the villains and Ghost Girl only win is against a joke character. Onizuka and Brave Max could be written of show after season 1 with how little he contribute to the plot . Queen was wasted as a possible villain and job to AI like a fodder character.
The production problem: Vrains was clearly rushed and is notable at the start with the original Link summon animation taking unnecessary long and with how much is used, it feels that they made this was to pad out time. Also, there is a lot of recaps episodes in season 1 that the director have to apologize 3 times.
Also plot points that were drooped or forgotten all together. The chess pieces in season 1, what happen to them? We got Queen but not the rest. Link sense, that thing got forgotten.
Yusaku is a boring protagonist in my opinion: I feel that Yusaki is the most bland protagonist in the YGO anime and is a shame because he have a interesting backstory and could lead to cool scenes. The problem is that execution did not land, Yusaku is still a antisocial person that did not formed friendships with much of the cast outside of AI and he did not developed that much in terms of personality.
Now here is the good things i like about Vrains
The villains are great (Outside of Bohman, he sucks). The duels are a masterpiece. AI is very funny and Revolver is the goat
Idk if anyone here plays champions online, but here is my newest character, Gate Guardian
I just traded for a full playset of the entire tenyi archetype so I figured why not try and build the deck? The problem is I'm not quite sure how the deck works and what it does, and YouTube hasn't been much help so I was wondering if anyone here had any pointers.
Go rush is confirmed ending in 2025 in about 19-20 episodes so tonight we will finally see the next rush anime announcement 🙌
The Pharaoh was at his peak and had his best deck along with all three Egyptian god cards in his deck which he willingly used.
Yugi managed to take down all three Egyptian god cards at once even though not all of them used their best effects. He also knew the Pharaoh the best and his cards/strategies.
Joey grew as a duelist and he did get his Red Eyes back from Yugi after Battle City but we don’t know if he beat him or not to get it.
Kaiba always dueled the Pharaoh hard and the Pharaoh did say he was pushed to duel his very best whenever he faced Kaiba even though Kaiba is 1-1 vs him with the 1 win coming from him threatening to jump.
Because Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon wasn't printed until after Goat format, Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon wasn't playable. But if BEUD had been printed, how competitive would BESD have been? Would it have been casual tier or meta relevant? What if it had only required Blue-Eyes White Dragon to Summon rather than BEUD? What if BESD had received a support spell allowing it to be Summoned using BEWD, ignoring its Summoning conditions? Would it have needed all of its anime effects to be meta relevant, or would it have been powerful enough as is? What do you all think?
Why is is Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon needed in the upcoming Blue Eyes deck? I see the OCG players put in Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon in their extra deck.
Hello internet!
My Question is are in anyway the Guardians released in Dark Crisis "Playable" Not meta... playable. Can i build something resembling a deck utilizing them?
outside of Butterfly Exodia FTK is there any synergy with these guys to make a playable (not necessarily good) deck.
Same Questions for the Archfiends.
a group of friends are doing retro formats and i know those 2 archtypes are compelte jank.
Any builds or advice would be appreciated. Guardians i have 0 clue how to start
But archfiends i at least have a general idea
After seeing your incredible support on my previous post, I wanted to make a custom archetype featuring characters from the OG anime. Here are a few card descriptions I had in mind:
Now, as for the actual archetype, my idea was to focus on direct damage and piercing damage: since I wanted the game to be beginner-friendly, and because attacking is the 101 of Dueling, that would make sense.
Now, is there anything you can suggest me to make this archetype better? Is direct damage a good central point for it?

I’m interested in Nekroz and everyone I talk to share how it’s one of their favorite decks and how good it was. I’ve been playing for about a year so I’m unfamiliar with the deck. I see that it’s getting support in the near future and was curious on thoughts how viable it is to see play with the current meta. I am still thinking of getting it just to have fun. Does it have any other synergy with decks. I see some of the monsters are lvl 4 so some possible rank 4 or even ryzeal play? If you guys have deck lists please post them in the comments!
