The necessary materials sound like they're rare, but how rare can they possibly be? They can repeat a raid daily, right? He also only tried it once, so we only have an upper limit on how rare the materials are. If the knowledge that this is possible becomes public, it will cause problems, and there will be issues deciding who to pick, but it seems like it would be worth it.
I'm anime only. Anyone mind giving minor spoilers about what they're doing? Any new objetive, antagonist or something?
Can we still get a new season or is there not enough content for it
I'm rewatching it for the god knows how many times. and I'm still amazed how well it was done. I'm speaking from the perspective of an mmo gamer, and yea this it how to do it. People kept pushing me to try SAO and it was alright, but then it was like hey do you like this you might like log horizon, and the rest was history 😅. I am watching it in English for the first time though, and I like the dub but I prefer the sub. But to make a short story longer yea it's an mmo so it has mmo features (as it should)
I remember Log Horizon being this popular isekai back in 2014-2015, even being compared to SAO. I liked the anime but today. It's just radio silence.
Unlike other isekais even the old ones where there are tons of yt videos discussing about them, and tweets and such.
Hype-wise, LH kinda fell off.
Did LH fell off into obscurity or is the anime community still wanting for more seasons?
I recently started watching Log Horizon and have gotten to season 2 and noticed there's weird animated parts. It's not like bad, just kinda lazy/forgetful. I really noticed it in episode 19, The Red Night. For starters when Tohya is talking with the Odyssey Knight on the bridge he has his katana on his back but then immediately is gone when the knight starts pummeling him. And then when Roe 2 and Minori are "riding" her summon their not actually sitting on it, their kinda hovering above it. It's just weird animation I noticed, it won't make me stop watching it though. Overall it's a pretty well done anime
Help, I'm running out of title ideas
Hello. I travel a lot and was trying to find a copy of the book in PDF format. Does anybody know where one could buy a copy?
Hey everyone!
I literally just finished binge watching all episodes of LH, and what a ride.
Severely hope it gets revived or is in the process of such after all i read about the tax scandal.
That said - From someone who played FFXI for over 10 years and ran a top raid guild, the plot, setting, classes, sub classes and world in general hit so hard and close to home i can honestly say i finally have found a better thing to enjoy than SAO in this particular setting.
How i ever missed this anime or the LN's is beyond my understanding, but wow am i glad i found it!
I enjoyed season 1 and had to skip so many episodes in season 2 or fast forward because of the boring focus on the kids.
Wow, these kids almost... just almost piss me off as much as the mc from Re: Zero.
I thought the anime would focus more on Shiroe and his mental prowess, but it's become a kid focused show. Is season 3 any better? If not, Im dropping this.
Answers to some of the questions are in the edit, ty for the responses so far.
Why doesnt Mamare or Kadokawa officially come out and tell us what's happening with the series? Even if the author stopped writing or that Kadokawa just doesnt allow him to continue the story for whatever reason, wouldnt it be beneficial for him and his reputation to at least speak to us about it? IIRC he used to actually be pretty connected to the community and even wrote in some of their ideas into the story, so there shouldnt be a reason to keep us in the dark even if hes quit writing the series. The only one who is somewhat affiliated with the publishing of the lh novels and is currently active/involved is Hara who refers to the publisher (Kadokawa) for answers instead. Evidently nothing has come from this so far. Considering most of the remaining content like the mobile games have been slashed I dont see an incentive to milk money or anything here. I'd like an answer because I've never seen any other author/publisher both commit to giving us no updates like this for such an extended period of time and it's really strange even for an opaque Japanese companies. Does Kadokawa prohibit him from telling us anything anymore? Or is there just no reason and everyone's has no clue either.
Edit for people who are curious about the latest news and what I know so far:
This is what I found so far; Basically, the last actual interaction with the higher ups between the community concerning the future of the series as a whole hapenned while Touno was in house arrest during the re:fraction event in 2018 where some wn volumes were teased.
The last update with the source material story of the series happened in 2019 with the english translation of vol 11 of the ln, and the listing and delisting of vol 12(The fandom mentions how troublesome the history of the book has been) The lack of recent updates may or may not have been attributed to a rumored fallout with Touno and Kadokawa and the rest of the publishers now that he has a bad rep from the tax evasion scandal.
The last new content directly related to the series released was Season 3 (Also known as destruction of the round table/entaku houkai) and Hara's art book, with drawings of the previously aforementioned teased wn volumes in 2021.
The mobile game and merch have been slashed, so they aren't gaining much money from the ip now.
Touno's twitter and website is dead and the last content related to log horizon officially announced was the collab with Tales Weaver in 2023.
The only active sources as of now are the trpg twitter account (which is prob run by an employee) and the illustrator of the ln Hara.
Based on all of this I'd say that there's still a chance for the series to come back, considering theres a dedicated fanbase and story to return to, though the odds certainly aren't on our side. If we're being optimistic here, and say that most of the rumors are true that since vol 11 release Touno hasn't been writing due to covid and season 3, and that he's waiting to publish all the teased wn chapters/ln chapters at once, and considering the last time he went on hiatus lasted 2 years for 1 volume, I think we can conclude that if he doesn't release anything by the end of 2025 we can conclude that the series is dead and Kadokawa has officially pulled the plug.
If there's anything wrong with the list above/ something I missed pls update me so I'm up to date. Thx to users who dmed me some of the info and links btw!
I am interested in the exact effects of "Chivalrous Spirit" and "Guts". Can you tell me where I can watch them? On https://log-horizon .fandom.com there was no exact description.
