We still waiting othaka announcement about magi anime adaption If you guys still waiting it enjoy it
That's all??
Just finished watching the anime and it's epic!! i also watched Adventures of Sinbad for the anime afterwards and it really explains alot, so now I don't know which manga to start reading first. 🤷
Any opinions?
I have been manga collecting for a while now and have been picking up a lot of manga's from anime i really liked but didn't have a full adaptation. Magi's next on the list but i know its a really old series and those can get REALLY hard to come by. I'm curious weather or not they even reprint those anymore...
I've watched all three of the anime a while back, and now I wanna go for the full experience, where I read the manga after finishing the series. I'm also starting prequel first, since that's always how I've enjoyed watching things. Is the Sinbad manga worth reading after finishing the anime version? Sinbad is also my favourite character in all of anime, so I'd definitely be willing to give the extra read.
TL;DR - Is the Sinbad manga worth reading before I rewatch the main series and read the main manga? How much more context and world building does it provide to the main story?
Sooooo... I've been reeeally into Magi as of lately, and I'm looking through my options on buying the fanbooks. Problem is, it's all quite old, from our good lord year of 2014, and I don't know even what's their editorial house's website. I looked into Amazon, and I found some for sale, but if anyone knows other possibilities please tell me. Or maybe there are scans online I haven't found yet? Aight...
So after a few months of work, I got a campaign running on fumes lol.
To properly build this world tho, as you can imagine, it will take more than one nerd who is already occupied with life, wife, and hobbies XD
So if anyone cares about magi/dnd, wishes to write and participate in a project to create an immersive roleplay and exploration experience for the community, text me.
THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DND
Just your interest and genuine wish to contribute lol.
So far we got Reimano down pretty well, but as players already voiced, Magnostadt, Partevia, as well as Kou are very commonly requested.
I have all but volume 21 & 22. I have been waiting for them for more than a year. Does anyone know what is going on?
There's this song that happens every once in a while in the anime and it's usually at important points in the story. Here are the notes: A#, G#, G(natural), G#, rest, G#, G Natural, F#, G Nat, rest, G Nat. It's the same notes as the chords for the fairy pond song in Zelda if that helps.
Not warmed up so my singing is trash, bu still
words cannot explain how much i love this show. it is going in my top 10 favorite shows list for sure. super sad and bummed it was not enough of a hit to get a third season; it would be so fire!
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
titus's rebirth gave me warm chills!!!!! and scheherazade's sacrifice with the glimpses of adult aladdin and alibaba got me excited. I wish there was a 26th ep. that gave up a little something to rest in peace with, but i guess my thoughts that aladdin, alibaba, and morgiana and all the others will take care of the next black rukh medium either because of another impurity, or more likely because more household vessel users will be born by the time the next medium is ready and they will have enough strength to take down an impure medium. but honestly, i just really love the show and have faith in the characters to figure everything out and take down what needs to be taken down.
oh, another idea just popped into mind! i just remembered what mogamett requested of aladdin - about finding a way to turn the black rukh back to white rukh - perhaps that would be the way to continue the story.
although, i would like to see the full extent of sinbad's story. they were really cooking up a bittersweet plot with him i think.
to be honest i know this post is kind of cringe-worthy, but whatever... i just typed what i was feeling and then ideas came to me that i wanted to put down too.
i love magi.
did i mention titus is so pretty with scheherazade's long hair. goodness, a cute little slice of life spinoff of titus and marga living a fun, beautiful life would be so heartwarming.
Long story short, I liked an AMV, and the only title I saw in the comments was “Magi: The Kingdom of Magic,” so I watched it without a second thought. I even complained about how the storyline was a little scrambled and confusing. Yeah, no wonder—it turns out there is at least one other season I should’ve watched before! 😭 help
PS: enjoyed the show anyway.
I don’t like the people of Torran or the creatures (funny cause Solomon is my fav character) also don’t like Morgiana just cause I think her character was not fully developed in the manga.
Hey guys, can I skip Sinbad in the anime and manga?
I've watched Season 1 and 2 of Magi, and that's it, right? The rest is just Sinbad stuff.
I'm planning to read the manga from start to finish instead of rewatching Magi or touching Sinbad at all.
Without spoilers, is there anything in the Sinbad anime or manga that is worth the time? No offense, but I really like Magi, and I'm not sure about Sinbad.
TL;DR: Can I just read the Magi manga and not read Sinbad?
Edit: thanks for the replies, i think I'll read magi first, and then put Sinbad in a plan to read list.
Im just wondering who you guys like as characters thats really it. I really love the resistance team in Torran (including David him as a villain is amazing) out of that team tho Solomon stood out the best for me as a character. His actions and personalty everything about his character I just love a lot.
I just read in the wikia that The magic type of Furfur and Crocell is light and that of Vepar is Lightning! Is that canon? Or an educated guess?
Hey guys, I just reread the series again and I cannot for the life of me fully understand how the ending works.
There's all this talk about the barriers between worlds vertically and the barriers between Rukh horizontally however the way to fix the barrier between the Ruhk was destroying the sacred place(which happens so that barrier seems gone) however nothing was done about the vertical barriers and while they talk about how the magicians of the world are working on communicating with other worlds those barriers are still intact.
So who's will is imposed on the world now? It was implied the only way to prevent higher gods from affecting the world was either to isolate(which doesnt fully work and would have ended since the sacred place was destroyed and there is no "God" now) or destroy the vertical barriers which they didnt do. So who's will is affecting the Ruhk now? is it solomon's again? Ill Ilah? some other entity? I didn't see anything that would stop the influence of higher gods from affecting the world now the the sacred place is gone and they are effectively godless so I'm just looking so anyone who might know if that was resolved
So it's always been rough finding official Magi merchandise, at least ones that are affordable but finally I have my two favorite men to add to my collection.
Personally, I don't really have any, I'm just curious about what y'all will say !
