What if they were the same person who had to come back to the forever school from different times in their life. Yuri, Yui and Iawasa might have been in a coma and it is a giant dream because time works differently.
I know a season 2 is 99.99999999999999969999999999% chance a no but like why? is there no material or light novel or manga or what??? why? i really want to see more i rather erase this anime from my memories than discover at the last episode it is for real over cause that shit hit hard
Wish I hadn't watched the last 2 ep,
Otonashi's actions were selfish after he fully regained his memories, right from Yui.. he treated them as "tasks" and just wanted to convince her smh.. thought someone like him would try to understand
Even in the end, tho they tried to show it in a way that it only occured to him at that moment (like he wanted to go b4 Hinata too), but the way he said it looked really strong.
He himself was devastated and very much determined to go along with Yurippe's cause but then after recovering his complete memories he was happy that he was able to help people and was fulfilled with his past life, but the problem is none of the others have this luxury sadly.. so just straight up wanting them to get over is like disrespecting their past
Didn't like how other characters just accepted and disappeared, would've appreciated a better closure for them
Yurippe's scenario felt really confusing , she had conflicting feelings but was forced to push them aside in order to save her new siblings, by doing that she found salvation? just feels very incomplete to me, both Yui's and Iwasawa's were well represented
I was hoping to see ninja girl's backstory :/
The anime felt very promising after what happened to Iwasawa, thought would show how to get over past ,embrace the present.. idk not able to put in words, thought it would be philosophical maybe? hinting better understanding and clarity for life well even keeping this unreasonable stuff aside earlier points are still making me uncomfortable
tldr: issues raised by an unfair life weren't actually resolved, I am not convinced that most of them found salvation other than Otonashi, Kanade, Iwasawa, Yui, Hinata(?) and Naoi.. almost all main characters (which is just not funny ;-; I had high expectations) except for leader, remaining characters were done dirty
