I think that this is the shortest question in the community here,

I've just watched the second "special episode" (OVA),

so why in the end they just added "to be continued" ?

i did know that there's only TWO "OVA" additionally to short video "another ending".

So this isn't my first, second, or even third time; I believe it's the fourth, maybe? I watched Angel Beats in 2017, which was 7 years ago, but I watched it just for fun and didn't understand all the nuances. No doubt, it touched my heart every time I reached the end and started feeling emotional.

Now, I'll jump to my curious question: What happened to Takamatsu? I know, I know, in the last episode they mentioned that he returned from being a programmed character to his real personality and disappeared peacefully. But the problem is, when Yuri was in the "Programmer Room" and before she destroyed all the computers, they talked about the developer. They said he converted himself into a programmed character because he got bored waiting for some girl. Were they referring to Takamatsu?

My second question is about Yuri herself. I didn't understand the ending when they said she didn't disappear because she only wanted to save all her friends. What? I mean, she regretted leaving her little siblings and got died, so what did they mean by saying she had a secret desire to be a commander for SSS team all that?

After finishing the anime I felt really bad for Yuri's siblings and their horrible fate, so I decided to write what has become pretty much a light novel continuing their story. I will admit I have taken several liberties with the Angel Beats universe (including aging up the main characters a little), but I have kept the basic logistics intact for the most part. I also threw in a bunch of cameos, both fictional and nonfictional. It's a work in progress, but I've done 17 chapters as of this posting. I hope you enjoy it... it's my first attempt at writing a story instead of drawing one.

I thought that Otonashi's regret after regaining his memories was that he met someone like his love of life, and that person showed him there was another reason to live, so he went to med school and died without finishing anything. So, in the end, Otonashi confesses to Kanade and learns that he saved her life, clearing both his regrets of not being able to finish what he started and knowing that he saved someone and was able to love again.
