I’m curious if there are any people who would be interested in a Black Clover themed dynasty fantasy football league. You would play as a character from Black Clover. It would be hosted on the sleeper platform.

A few friends and I, who are in other anime/ manga themed fantasy football leagues, were considering starting a Black Clover league. I just wanted to see how much interest there would be before actually creating the league.

So far we have people interested in being Yami, Chronos and Asta.

Let me cook 🙏 Lucius’ devil is the demon ASTAroth. Lucius was of age when richtia would’ve given birth and then given up asta. Richtia’s blood type is A. Astas blood type is A. Lucius’ blood type is AB AB+A = A. Therefore lucius busted inside of richtia while he was possessed by a demon. Making asta 1/4 of a demon. And used his soul magic to make julius forget about it. And Astaroth used lucius’ soul magic to make him forget about it. Astaroth is attracted to richtia but lucius isn’t. Or maybe lucius and julius were asleep and Astaroth is Astas father. Or maybe it was julius and thats why hes always glazing him. Or maybe they were all in on it and realised later they fucked up. And the amount of magic that LuciAstaLius was absorbed by erechtia in the womb (I think she can do something like that) Therefore lucius/julius is Asta’s father and Astaroth was in sex drive.

I have a feeling that Astaroth has a spell that lets him take control of every ounce of mana around the world and then stop its movement which lets it bring the world to a halt..... No movement at all but Astaroth can't use any magic

Anti magic is also susceptible to this ability and that Liebe will separate from Asta to prevent him from getting frozen making Asta and Astaroth the only ones to move around.

At this point, I think it will be a physical fight between Asta and Astaroth where Asta prevails....

I hope that Asta (wizard king) and Noelle, Yuno and Charmie and Yami and Charlotte are couples. I want finral to be respected by luck and magna, even if only once, and I want to get to know who Asta’s dad is.

I just read the chapter where julius turns out to be lucius but im really confused, what happened? how come he didn’t say anything about having two souls in one body when william turned into patry?

So let's brainstorm and all that and do this

Each of the nine magic knight squads has their respective captains, with the authority of their squad members and their recruitment, to grant missions, handle mission reports, and give monthly pay to the members.

But considering these obligations and the fact that its members when recruited are usually around 15 years old, the same age at which they receive their grimoires and begin to really improve their magical powers and develop their own spells, it seems that the knights basically train on their own in most cases. Shouldn't captains act as mentors or teachers to their members, especially newly initiated ones? It is not possible to know the level of magical power and magic they can already present, and it can vary greatly from individual to individual.

It should be the captains' obligation to train their members routinely, teaching the same basics to everyone, such as control of magical power. For example, mana skin, as it is a basic technique that all knights need to know, not to mention that learning this technique is a way to improve your control of magical power. I only remember the captains twice. taking on this role, Yami, training Asta to use ki during a fight, and Mereoleona taking the members of her squad to a large magical zone.

I mean look at Sol from Blue Rose, throughout the series she didn’t get stronger at all while her captain could have taught her Heart kingdom's Mana Method. She would’ve been massively stronger considering her earth attribute.

I'm just saying, Captain should train and their subordinates regularly.

Anyone else wonder why asta’s name is just half of astaroth’s I 100% feel like I’m reading into this WAY too much

I've been told for years by my friends to watch it and I'm finally getting around to it but I'm having a hard time actually watching it because of how goddamn annoying Asta is. I cannot stand his level of idiocy. Sure, he's incredibly physically strong and I get the whole no magic thing but come on. Why is he so fuckin stupid? Literally every time he opens his mouth I feel like I'm losing brain cells. Is this something that persists throughout the series or does he somehow miraculously gain a few IQ points?

I've basically exhausted all the anime I can think of other than Black Clover...Bleach, Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, Samurai Champloo, Death Note, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Eureka 7, Tokyo Goul...and many more of the big animes. I've even gone through many niche anime such as Elfen Leid, Death Parade, Summer Time Rendering, Dorohedoro, Coyote Ragtime Show, Peacemaker, Samurai 7, 07 Ghost (what is it with anime and the number 7? Lol) and plenty of others I can't recall...maybe these are not niche to some of you, but I've not heard many people reference them. And I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I just couldn't get into One Piece...it was just too goofy to me.

Anyway, point-being that I have an above average appreciation for and knowledge of anime and genuinely want to like Black Clover because it started off great for the first few episodes (a little cheesy at parts, but way more tolerable than one Piece to me); however, I feel like it rapidly fell flat.

It feels like there is no interesting long term story and all the episodes feel like filler episodes even 30 episodes in. What am I missing here? This is only slightly more entertaining than "slice of life" anime. Even some of the villians who attacked the magic kingdom or whatever seemed to be set up to be the main arc, but even then, they weren't memorable, and I just didn't feel the same intrigue as villians like the Akatsuke in Narruto or the Homunculi in Full Metal Alchemist. I surprisingly found myself more engaged in the Fairy Tale anime's storyline than Black Clover, and I had even less initial hopes for Fairy Tale.

Does Black Clover pick up significantly? I'm honestly not hating on it, but I just can't seem to get hooked.

What are some other recommendations if this doesn't pan out? I like really dark and mysterious engaging main arcs like Full Metal Alchemist and Attack On Titan if someone can pass suggestions. Thanks

what if asta and yuno are actually the monster the old wizard reborn. hear me out. asta’s headband has the same pattern the monster did. although the monster has a third eye, not once in the show have we seen asta’s forehead ( he might have a scar there who knows) and if you search on google “asta’s full form, he also has 2 horns. what i’m saying is that maybe in the near future asta looses control and unlocks a form just like the monster and yuno has to defeat him. we all expect asta to become the wizard king so this plot twist would probably be better for the show. if the creator of black clover sees this, who knows he might switch up the story just to make me wrong. but hey, im just a random on reddit don’t listen to what i say

Anti-Magic. Most people would say that's the most broken ability in this series, and you're right on a certain level. Close range combat only, that ability is hella broken. But you forget, that most magic knights don't get close range. They can easily counter it by tiring out the opponent with their long range combat, which is what most magic knights do.

Another thing is, before I guess the 6 months timeskip, basically before the Spade Kingdom Arc, bro did not have an Anti Magic slash technique like Yami or a technique that can basically make threads or vines with Anti Magic, like Charlotte. Moreover, Julius said it himself, that the sword was heavy. Let's forget the mana draining for a moment. We're talking about the wizard king here. Same with Vetto, he said that the sword may as well he a natural enemy of his. The Queen of Bit- sorry, Witches, herself said that she needed to control ASTA in order to gain the power of anti magic. That's something else.

Asta trained his whole life. He willingly took lessons of swordsmanship from Fanzel, cause we ourselves saw that even with his strength, he wasn't even able to swing the sword without losing his balance. Another thing, most of his enemies specialised in long range combat, yet he made it work with his teammates, but also with his resilience and his mindset. If Yuno were the manaless boy, with that build of his, the sword wouldn't budge at all. Same with almost every other magic knight that was there, except the super buff ones, Yami, Charlotte and the Vermillion siblings.

Asta made that ability broken. Anti Magic, by itself, ain't that impressive. Needing to get close range with your foes, needing to train hard just to maintain balance, and Asta's original disadvantage with not sensing a person's mana. Asta learnt how to combat these disadvantages that came with using Anti Magic. Sure, he found the demon dweller sword. Sure, he gained his black form due to the witch. But it still took a lot out of him just to control that form, and fighting with that sword wasn't exactly the easiest thing in the world.

Without the black form, he was still able to keep up with Mereoleona vs Rhya's fight, which essentially touched light speed. That's how insane he has trained his body to become. That swords of his, without the proper training and honing of skills, are literally just normal swords to swing around, with as many disadvantages as a normal sword would bring in a battlefield.

Look, all I'm saying is, the ability isn't broken to begin with. Asta made it broken. Bro literally lost an arm, and defeated his demon with literally one arm💀 that's the definition of never give up. Hey, maybe bro's magic actually is a passive skill, which makes his brain and his resolution literally as sturdy as a Nokia button phone.

Anyways, my rant is finished now.

What I can think off the top of my head are: The existence of Bruce and things from the light novels, the fact that Gauche's mirror can reflect all kind of magic beam not just light magic, etc
