I have been reading bleach for about 2 months now and I have gotten all the way to chapter 480 which is the start of the blood war. My opinion after reading all of bleach (no blood war) is the lost agent arc is the best arc and better than all of the Hueco Mundo arc and all of the soul society arc. It makes ichigo a better and more sympathetic character than ever before, has a bunch of cool and unique powers/villains who i sympathize with and has ZERO bad fights. The hueco mundo arc is a battle of higher power levels and has so many terrible fights and bad characters. The soul society arc is just an ichigo power trip with a bunch of plot points that don’t make sense. Lost agent arc is the first arc to come together and the first arc where ichigo actually has consequences for his actions and has real development. Best arc in any manga I’ve ever read tbh. Took yu yu hakushos chapter black idea and made it so much better.

Kubo's Western-style names are many times ridiculous but cool-sounding, peaking at the beauty that is Aaroniero Arruruerie.

But I can't tell with the Japanese names. Something like Ikomikidomoe is obviously gibberish, but what about the more "normal"-sounding names like Ukitake?

Japanese fans. Are the Japanese names also batshit crazy and/or weirdly spelled but we Westerners can't tell?

Orihime's reaction to witnessing Ichigo's Hollow side during his fight with Grimmjow in "Bleach" likely stems from a combination of factors, including post-traumatic stress and possibly trauma even after what happened to her late brother Sora... who became a Hollow.

Orihime's traumatic past, particularly her experiences with abuse and the loss of her brother Sora, have likely left deep emotional scars. Witnessing Ichigo's transformation into a Hollow might've triggered those bad memories and feelings of helplessness. The sight of Ichigo succumbing to his inner darkness and becoming a Hollow likely evokes feelings of terror and dread, as she fears losing another important person in her life.

Obviously, Orihime cares deeply for Ichigo and values their friendship. So seeing him in such a vulnerable and dangerous state definitely evoked a sense of hapless and despair, as she struggled to comprehend the severity of the situation and the potential consequences for Ichigo and those around him.

Thankfully, Nel recognizes Orihime's distress and offers her words of comfort. Despite her child-like appearance, she reassures Orihime that Ichigo possesses the strength and determination to overcome any obstacle, urging her to have faith in him and his abilities. Nel's words uplifted Orihime's spirits and bolster her confidence in Ichigo, instilling her with the resolve to stand by him and support him through his battle.

Remember that Hollows represent a terrifying and unpredictable threat, symbolizing the darker aspects of the spiritual world and the dangers that lurk within. Her encounters with Hollows, including her late brother, who became one left a lasting impact on her psyche, which contributes to her fear when faced with Ichigo's Hollow side for the first time.

I know that we are most likely not getting any backstory for Aizen, but I really think that he has some connection with the last unknown Great Noble clan (associated with Hell) or the Tsunayashiro family (tasked with guarding SS history).

Why?

1. He knows TOO MUCH for someone who is not a great noble. He probably managed to get inside one of the family archives OR someone from that family shared the history of SS to him.

2. Aizen is an intelligent man but there is NO WAY he created Hōgyoku out of thin air. He probably read it from a book regarding artifacts of the SK, which would make sense given that Urahara (who also knows the truth about the SK) created another Hōgyoku.

I always view Urahara and Aizen as different sides of the same coin. So, I wouldn't be surprised if they have similar history. Urahara with Yoruichi and the Shihouin clan, Aizen with the unknown great noble clan (more likely) or the Tsunayashiro family.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I remember almost every Hollow had some unique abilities, right? Especially when it came to Arrancars.

I don't think Getsuga can be considered his Hollow ability, cause Engetsu also had it alongside his fire abilities, so I think Zangetsu also has it alongside his Hollow abilities. After all Ichigo could use Getsuga without the mask before he learned how to control his Hollow abilities.

I know that White wasn't a regular Hollow and was created by Aizen like an Asauchi, but he still was a Hollow. So could he have some unique ability. And if yes, could Ichigo use them?

When Hitsugaya gets his Bankai back and I know it's Yamamoto's theme but another version of it.

hello I actually have 0 knowledge about this anime or any anime for that matter and I wanted help in buying a gift for a friend.. His favorite anime is bleach and fav character is Sosuke Aizen.. I've looked for lockets bracelets or other such accessories that I can buy but couldn't find anything except for a mask pendant (don't really have a high budget) could any of you give suggestions on what I should buy?

Aizen is probably one of my favorite anime villains. The guy is not only super smart but strong as f*ck. That moment he used Danku as a vice captain is nothing but badass written all over it.

It's kinda interesting to have a spinoff manga about him. Obviously he'd have more monologue and inner voices than actual dialogues as we will be shown how he thinks, analyze and execute his plans.

Also showing off how OP he is.

On a side note, if his past is shown, (earlier than what was shown in the manga) I don't wanna see him having a sad past, ie a loved one died, just to justify him being bad because of it. I want him to be super bad and narcissistic at the start lol

What’s funny with all the Ichibei hate is that the soul king could’ve seen it coming. Like the dude seemed perfectly fine with how it’s gonna happen. With the almighty, he could’ve stopped Ichibei but chose not to. With the soul king parts not even going against soul society but working with them with the exception of Yhwach and converting Pernida, there’s more going on. Ichibei is most likely innocent and neutral all things considered. Yes it was terrible and even if he did have malicious intent and the soul king allowed it, there is always more going on than what’s shown. I’m saying there’s no proof of Ichibei being evil and more proof of him being neutral.

I am ten episodes in. And she is supposed to be the love interest of the MC. However, she is mostly a side character who doesn't interact all that much with Ichigo so far. How is her relationship with him later on? Not just as a love interest but also as a character.

Ichigo's dad, Isshin Shiba, was the head of the clan before his defection from Soul Society and changed his last name to Kurosaki to match her wife, Masaki. So what happened to the clan afterwards? I feel like this part of the story has never been explored enough, and it's kinda weird considering Shiba clan is related to Ichigo after all.

Also, if Shiba clan is one of the big clans in SS, then why does Kaien's siblings, like Kuukaku and Ganju, live on the outskirts and not inside the Seireitei like the Kuchiki clan? Is it related to Kaien's death? But why didn't they recover from the downfall after Soul Society arc? Didn't Ichigo and his cronies considered SS' saviour?

I wonder, does in the end Ichigo aware that Kuukaku and Ganju are his cousins and vice versa?

I don't recall if Isshin ever tell Ichigo completely about his background in SS, it's only a little part of it. And instead, it's always focused on her mother, Masaki. The way I see it, it's a bit unfortunate that Isshin doesn't have little to none of involvement in TYBW.

After all, his Shinigami powers came from his dad and Isshin's background can make a more significant impact on Ichigo's growth as a Shinigami with a noble's lineage (dad's from a big clan, mom's from an Echt aka pure Quincy bloodline). And I'm super curious about Isshin's Bankai.

Considering he's originally a soul that uses a gigai, doesn't that mean he's practically immortal in the human world, just like Urahara and Yoruichi?

That aside, ain't Yoruichi's clan Shihoin also one of the big clans? She was the head too at that time, right? What happened to that clan after Yoruichi's defection? There are only 3 Shihoin members that's been introduced and all of them are the heads. Chika (the first captain of 2nd Division), Yoruichi, and Yushiro (Yoruichi's little brother).

My older sister watched it back in high school and said it's really good, but her and I don't have the same taste. I already watch anime, but wanted to know if this anime lives up to its hype. If you can compare it to any similar animes that would be appreciated.

Think about it. In addition to all the abuses of power (killing anyone who's an inconvenience to them, trying to execute Rukia without a trial, murdering innocent Rukongai citizens) as well as their blatant hypocrisy (preaching law and order but leaving entire sections of Soul Society without any form of protection) they perverted the natural order of existence simply for their own benefit. Existence was meant to be unified not split into multiple worlds held together by an imprisoned and mutilated soul. However, the Shinigami distorted and reshaped the world to best benefit them without any regard for the long term effects or harm it would bring to non Shinigami. Therefore, the Wandenreich were the true heroes for seeking to end the Shinigami's dictatorship of existence and restoring the world to it's proper state.
