I’ve been thinking of making another fancure series, only this time, I want to try tackle the dream motif I’ve seen thrown around a lot. But to put my own twist on it, I’m planning on giving it specifically a sleepover motif. I also want to have a theme of bonding, because people tend to get to know each other better when stuck together, like at a sleepover. I haven’t thought about it much, but I’d like to get the community’s feedback on it and also maybe some ideas.
After three, uh, let’s not call them friends just yet (they were set up by their mothers, who were all childhood friends), take part in sleepover ritual gone wrong, they accidentally summon a strange fairy-looking creature. Fuwa Yuuki, one of those friends and the subject of the ritual, is chosen by the fairy to become Cure Pillow. I haven’t thought much about what’s after that, but I’m considering making the Cures’ mothers a team of their own that operated in the past.
Basically, there’d be three Cures to start off with.
Fuwa Yuuki/Cure Pillow (Pink): A girl who’s always had big dreams but has never been able or willing to act on them.
Gekko Teruko/Cure De Lune (Blue): A goth-ish and dramatic girl. She can be quite demanding and abrasive at times.
Kubou Kousei/Cure Wish (Purple): A smart yet paranoid guy who seems to have his head in the clouds. He wants to be able to be friends with Yuuki, but he just can’t seem to match her energy enough.
The title that I have planned for now is Slumber Party! Precure. I’m worried that it’s too generic, though, so I’m considering changing it to Slumber Festival! Precure (or translating that into Japanese to get Slumber Matsuri! Precure).
I don't know if it's because I've been enjoying this season so much I've been paying more attention than usual, but I was trying to think of fanfiction ideas and it felt really easy to slot ideas in the gaps of the story.
I think it might be because Animal Town is so centralised around the theme of the season. There's lots of places built there where you can interact with animals, all the characters have their own animal theme including the classmates, and there's a whole plot reason why it's like that - it was where animals could speak with the Mirror Stone for a bit and the culture of animals just built up around that.
There's a whole backstory on why this town is so quirky and it ties into the main story of the Precure. But there's also a lot of mystery around it to the point that I can't actually guess the true events of what Niko did 150 years ago even though this is a kids show and this kind of stuff is normally pretty obvious.
Really the only silly contrivance is that the family with the cat-themed family name that own a cat decided to move there to open a cosmetics shop. You'd think they're locals there or something, but they're not. They probably just did that to explain why Mayu had never met Iroha and Komugi before.
I think the fact that Splash Star being released fully dubbed on Amazon Prime in Italy was PRETTY AWESOME... Until I realized this was a release with zero promotion, zero hype and almost no one reported it.
The relaunch is happening! 😍 The Pretty Cure Splash Star series has been made available on the Prime Video platform in Italy, in Italian! It features the original Japanese theme songs. The strange thing is that currently the situation can only be found by typing PRECURE, but it says "season 3" so they are definitely working to insert them all here! Furthermore, after this addition, the series was removed from Crunchyroll in Italy. What can I say? Welcome back Pretty Cure 🥹
I already finished watching futari wa precure and I'm starting to see max heart but later I don't know if I should watch precure in starting order or in another order, can you help me?
do you guys want it to be more like Pripara/Aipri/Aikatsu Planet where the idol stuff is actually set on a another world and outside of that world they are just normal girls or would you want a vibe similar to early pretty series/ most of aikatsu where the girls are actual idols?
I really hope it is You and Idol, because Wonderful is too non standard and with that I dont mean just the fights.
Watching chapter 42. Is not the same the question of Natalie to Rachel (but seem more fantasy at Pretty Cure)
Really ask to Rikka if she can go back at time?
At Glitter Force Natalie ask if Rachel kno a case of baby that aged 10 years in 1 day
For me it would be:
Cure Milky - Star Twinkle Precure
Cure Princess - Happiness Charge Precure
Cure Custard - Kirakira Precure Ala Mode
Cure Scarlet - Go! Princess Precure
And Cure La Mer - Tropical Rouge Precure
My Wonderful Pretty Cure inspired cowl (Still on the blocking board so I nabbed this from my knitting insta) I gave Satoru and Daifuku a bit extra since they haven't been shown in the show and it's bordered in black for the garugarus/gaogaons.
The teal looks cool nglllll!
This week Mayu teaches her friends how to knit (and in the process learn that Mey Mey also has a passion for crafting), Satoru translates more of the diary and learns the wolf mentioned in it was indeed Gaou (we get some interesting info from Zakuro too), and the Precure fight a giant enemy crab during which Mayu has some character growth and even upgrades her net.
At the end we're left with the characters puzzling over the contradiction between Gaou's current actions and the fact he allegedly possesses a kind heart
Next Week: We meet a very old dog and possibly kickstart the final arc
