This dvd is important to me.
I watched all of NGE and only have the movie left, but there was no hospital scene yet. I watched on Netflix as that's the most accessible source for me, did Netflix just remove the hospital scene? Not complaining because I was watching with my mother, but also wondering if it was actually removed by Netflix or not.
Any recommendations for any show or movie that is similar to NGE in that it has religious aspects of references to religious mysticism? Preferably sci-fi and low-key like NGE.
I'm most likely the millionth person to ask, but I don't know how to interpret the endings. I really enjoyed both the original series and the rebuild, but I'm still quite confused on the what originals ending even was, and I'm not sure how to interpret the ending of the rebuild. I understood what happened in the endings I think. In the original shinji first merged everyone than set everything back to normal, but what about the scene with asuka at the very end?
I understood more from the rebuild. shinji changed the world to if the Eva's never existed, but it still felt weird, like I missed something. Also I don't get why shinji and Mari got together, or at least seemed like they were. I never really saw anything between them and it felt kind of random.
I literally just finished Thrice upon a time as I'm writing this, but if any evangelion experts can give some more explanation for the endings I'd appreciate it.
I am searching for some good asurei fics to read as recently became a fan of it and with how old the fandom I figured their might be some good fics that aren't found on fanfic.net or ao3 either. Though feel free to recommend fics from their too! Thank you for those who are able to recommend some!
My experience with the search for a good eva kit has been nightmarish.
The RG is a hand grenade that is too robotic looking.
The Meng is made from super cheap soft plastic to the point that the arms can just be ripped off by moving the joints.
The LMHG’s are pretty solid but super old and lacking articulation.
That’s kinda where I am. 3 different lines and none that are really good enough to build an Eva shelf with.
From what I can see now my options are: Try Kotobukiya. Try Yolopark, Try Meng again but bring glue and a lot of patience, try the old PG.
(I made it)
First Yui in my collection after like 15-20 years of digging through swapmeet junk and 2nd hand stores. She was only $3.
Is there any reliable sites I can use to order Evangelion shirts online? What I mean is that I am trying to find good quality shirts but I’ve had no luck finding any websites that either:
Don’t ship to the UK in general Ship to the UK but the shirts themselves look terrible.
If anybody could reply that would be great
Im just trying to properly introduce the rebuilds to my gf and yes to fool her too a bit
I recently started watching this show a week ago, and I was not expecting the curveball they'd be throwing past episode 15. Usually, you'll see them go through some hard shit then they get back on their feet and continue pushing, but no, its just a constant stream of seeing them catch L's left and right.
Don't even get me started on episode 20. I thought the whole flow state was supposed to have him realize something GOOD about himself and when I realized that wasn't what was happening, I was distraught, like what the fuck are you doing shinji?😭 But maybe that was just a reveal of what was truly happening in his head.
And then they start slowly revealing how some of them hate themselves, jesus christ bro you guys are better than that. Why are you treating yourselves this way? Sad as hell.
I've been enjoying the series, so I'm looking forward to the rest (I'm on episode 21 right now) and seeing where it goes. Watch this show at nighttime. That's where it truly hits.
Thanks for reading my rant
The only time I visit my school again is when they sell their radio Evangelion collab hehehe. They have a cool card when you spend $30 or more.
I wanted to watch nge again since i havent seen it in AGES but in spanish bc thats how i originally watched it and i distinctly remember netflix having it, did they take it away??
Well, I didn't think about this before, but why the Rebuild titles have "(not)" and what does this mean?
So this means both and it can be thought as whatever the watcher want?
"You can (not) advance" meaning you can actually advance but there is something blocking it?
Hmm....
Hi, I recently bought first 3 manga (was pretty surprised how big they are) and I bumped in the shop into many different books. There are some alternative lines, as much as I figured out? Also there is some "Neon Genesis Evangelion and Philosophy: That Syncing Feeling: That Syncing Feeling" book, which looks interesting.
Could somebody provide me more info about the entire written production and what is worth to get or what should I read first? I've seen everything from animated production and it basically stands as part of my life, really enjoyed the deep psychology and the story, so now I would like to explore written production.
Thanks for any advices and information.
Hey everyone I’m working in a project for my brother. He wants me to turn the bakugan storm skyress into and EVA unit. This is what I’ve come up with so far and was looking for some feedback on how to make it look more accurate/where to go from here thanks guys
Would you guys like this character from the Neon Genesis Evangelion: Iron Maiden videogame be introduce in some new evangelion series?
This is probably a ridiculous question -but I haven’t read through the whole spin-off yet so don't attack me, I was curious about whether Fuyutsuki makes an appearance in the story. Given that the focus is primarily on the main characters, I assumed he would likely have less mention since the narrative centers around Shinji way more rather than background characters.
If so, what chapters?
This wasn’t cheap, but I’m happy with this
Hey everyone! I just wrote out this whole long post and my reddit crashed. Boo! I'm going to try for a quick and dirty talk to text right now! 😁
I imagine if you're an anime fan living in Japan you can easily go out to a store a mile away or a mall across town and by a new manga, a new boxset, a new figure, etc. And on release day! I am located in the US and so when something is released overseas that I'm interested in I always have to rely on trusting sellers in places like eBay and hope that the item description is accurate, the pictures are of the item I'm buying and not stock, and knowing that it'll arrive up to a month later. Also know I might have to wait a few years for a English language release, etc.
With all of that said, I've noticed in other subreddits like the Sailor Moon one, someone will post something that they purchased and it's obvious from the context of the post that they're super excited about it, super glad to have gotten it, super eager to show off their new treasure, and oftentimes I'll see reply of oh, that's nice, but it's a bootleg, or it's nice for a bootleg.
How strongly do you guys feel about legit and official releases vs bootlegs? Passionate enough to hurt other people's feelings? 🤔🤷🏻♂️
