My brother drew some characters and wanted to know if anyone could guess who they are
I've made posts about this topic before, but with Mashima saying 100YQ is nearing its end and with the story around Ignia taking focus, do you see the plot line with Aquarius progressing at all in this Arc, assuming its not the final Arc?
For me, who theorizes Ignia will succeed in his plans and that we'll have a big final Arc involving the return of the Dragons, I have no idea. The thing is, we have 0 idea what steps are needed to look for Aquarius' Key, where it could be, etc. And every Arc, something happens and Lucy doesn't really have a chance to search for it.
If anything, besides emotional moments in the Elentir Arc, the plot line surrounding Aquarius' Key has been used to develop a friendly rivalry between Lucy and Brandish, and explain Brandish's involvement in the story. But despite that, no noticeable progress has been made in finding it and we don't know where it is.
And in regards to this current Fire and Flams Arc, thw main setting is being set up to be the Fire God's Castle since Team Natsu is searching for it and Natsu is being taken to it. Unless Lucy finds it on the way or its somehow coincidentally in the vicinity of the Castle, the only way I can see it being involved is if someone in the Guild has it and Lucy and Brandish team up to get it before fighting each other for it.
Obviously, there's probably other possibilities I'm just not considering. But I just don't know if I see it being iinvolved in this Arc. And who knows, maybe that's the point and Brandish is being set up as an Ignia-like figure/final battle for Lucy in the sequel.
Some people raise the theory that Lucy will be extra motivated to seek out Aquarius' Key because her water could be an advantage against Fire and Flame. Maybe. Perhaps she goes on a side quest while the others go for the Castle and then after she and Brandish fight, maybe they team up to fight the Signario Sisters or someone else together.
Anyway, what are ya'll's thoughts? Would be happy to hear them if ya'll would be down to share them!
If at the end of the 100 Years Quest storyline, Hiro decides to throw a massive curve ball and makes Natsu end the series with Lisanna, and Lucy with Gray.
I know some people have been disappointed in Gray's recent fights in 100 Years Quest, such as his fight against Sai and he and Lucy's fight against Gennai, Kotetsu, and Sai. Some even say that Mashima hates Gray and never wants to do anything cool with him again. But while writing a reply this morning, I thought of something else and I'm gonna share those thoughts here. I'm not saying I'm 100% correct, these are just my thoughts on things.
I can't say why Mashima didn't give Gray and Skullion a rematch, but I speculate that giving him Sai as an opponent has nothing to deal with hating this character and wanting to give him only "fodder" to fight. But is instead, because Mashima found the body swap gimmick fun and thought Gruvia would be a good ship to start with. 100YQ has made some progress on all the ships, but Gray's whole Arc is about getting to a place where he feels he can be with Juvia. So such a fight would do something for his Arc. But it also fits with Mashima just liking to write things for fun.
Back in the Tenrou Island Arc, the Kain Hikaru fight was about the original Team Natsu's use of the Mr. Cursey Doll. With Doriate in the Sun Village Arc, Mashima turned the cast into kids. With Haku in the same Arc as Sai, he turned cast members into plushies and we had a cute plushie cover and a fight between plushie Natsu, Lucy, and Happy against a plushie Labyrinth monster. Some people are on here saying "Mashima hates Gray, that's why he had him fight fodder Sai!" When knowing Mashima, he probably just thought "let's do a fun body swapping fight with Gray and Juvia." Do I know this for a fact? No, its just speculation. If this were true, does that mean people have to like it? No, fun is subjective. I'm merely saying that it doesn't have to be as malicious as some people treat it.
So then in the Gold Owl Arc, Gray was part of the initial encounter with Gennai and Kotetsu to show off their powers snd then, alongside Lucy, fought against them and Sai. Once again, this was a fight centered around the body swap gimmick, only this time, with characters who were rivals of Gray and Lucy. Mashima hates Gray right? Once again, I think Mashima just did this for fun. He set up Sai having Rival Bond, didn't get to show it off, Natsu and Gray are one of the prominent rivalries in the series, and Gray had encountered Sai before so he could help Lucy understand his Alchemy which moved the fight along.
But okay, maybe Mashima could've done this for fun, but he still could hate Gray because he could've given him another fight? I don't know how intentional this is, but the average 100YQ Arc is 3 and 1/2 Volumes and 25-30ish Chapters, taking around a year (the Labyrinth Arc had a hiatus and then the 5 Chapter negotiations with Selene and Diabolos so it was longer). Given the average fight is 2ish Chapters (wish some were longer). If the length of Arcs is intentional, whether publisher mandated or something Mashima is doing himself, it might just be about time, and how much stuff Mashima has to cover.
I don't at all believe Mashima hates Gray. And in fact, I personally think that some of the evidence of it is exaggerated, altered, or even fabricated just to appear like he does. Yes, his fight with Metro was a duo fight alongside Juvia. How is that a knock on Gray again? Gray was the one whose ice gave Juvia's water the solidity to hurt Metro. i don't get how a duo fight is a knock against Gray, as if characters can only shine in solo fights (by the way, when Mashima does do solo fights, people get angry he doesn't do enough team fights. This man is damned if he turns left, damned if he turns right, damned if he goes forward, damned if he turns back).
He also defeated the Thunder Legion. But some would say this is another knock against Gray because hey're "fodders" and others would say that because they're fodders, that fight wasn't plot relevant. For starters, Natsu vs. Gagarock showed that an enemy's strength isn't the only thing that can make a moment epic, as a sneeze from Natsu caused devastation. But also, Freed's Enchantments have broken potential and he took away Gray's ice. That'd be like taking away Fire from pre-Tenrou Natsu. Most of his moveset is just gone. And yet, Gray kicked their butts. Its also plot relevant because their goals were to stop their friends from destroying Aldoron's orbs and save them from Faris' control. But yet, because they're "fodders," that's not plot relevant? Mest is not the greatest fighter and yet, he destroyed the last of the orbs. Is that not plot relevant? Or is Gray not involved with it so its okay?
And yes, Gray struggled against a fatigued Mira despite having Devil Slayer Magic. But why would he want to use that against Mira. Mira's no fodder but this is the same Magic that obliterated Tempester and Mira was both fatigued and not even in her strongest form. The goal was to save their friends and Gray already hates hurting Mira. And no, Juvia and Lucy do not pick on him for it, a heavily intoxicated Cana does (not that Fairy Tail members picking on each other is anything new or limited to Gray). And in the next Arc, he defeated Hakune, who was incredibly strong (she can freeze the power sources behind abilities, that's crazy). And its a plot relevant fight as well (because that has been called into question) because Natsu and Erza were still recovering, Wendy was treating them, Lucy had collapsed, and the whole point of Hakune and Mimi being there was to recapture the team so she could keep playing her game with them. Gray saved them.
Yes, he lost to Skullion and didn't get a rematch. That sucks and I can't speculate on why. But he's not the only character to do that. Wendy never gets a rematch with Azuma in the Tenrou Island Arc and doesn't get solo fights again,, Mira only loses in Tenrou and never gets to fight Azuma again, Kagura is embarrassed by Dimaria and never meets her again, Natsu loses to Hakune and loses most fights in the Elentir Arc, Erza loses to Suzaku and never fights him again, etc. Its unfortunate he didn't get a rematch. But does it prove that Mashima hates him? No, it doesn't. Does he hate Erza? Why didn't she fight Suzaku, a fellow sword user again? Why did Natsu have the role he did in the Elentir Arc? Wendy doesn't even get a solo fight in that Arc, he hates her right?
My point with this post is, I don't think Mashima has done anything in 100YQ involving Gray with malicious intention, hatred, or disinterest. And I think its particularly telling that some of the major proponents of this have created a strict set of hoops which Gray must jump through for a moment with Gray to be substantial, plot relevant, etc. I also don't think the Gray fights involving Sai were done with malicious intentions, probably just Mashima having fun. Do I know this for a fact? No, its of course just speculation. I don't know this for a fact. But I feel like there's this mindset formed now of "nothing cool will ever happen with Gray again because he fought Sai and Thunder Legion = fodder, Athena II one shotted everyone except for characters we know are stronger, but Gray was the first so Mashima hates him, and this moment had him contribute to the plot, but not in this strict way that I've imposed so its not plot relevant." Not trying to throw shade at "Mashima hates Gray"-sayers. Just that there's other explanations and the evidence for that take doesn't feel strong. But people are entitled to feel the way they do so I respect if people disagree.
Greetings , its been quite sometime , here is a lovely pic of the one and only Cana Alberona dressed as an irresistable belly dancer , there will be more in the upcoming days , hope you all enjoy
Note : sorry about the error in eye color
My favorite character is grey / gajeel I think gajeel is pretty perfect I wish she wasn't so just Justice obsessed though It gets kind of annoying sometimes but if I had to change one thing about gray it would be his hesitance towards juvia. I think they're a super cute couple and I wish they got together way sooner I think when they stayed in the cabin in the woods for a year was super cute
Based on the personalities of the students from Class 1-A and Class 1-B, which wizard guild do you see them joining and why?
Are there any really well written natza fanfics that dont include bashing. Going on a flight and need stuff to read. Please and thank you in advance
Come on, we know it's not Gildarts, he has trouble taking down a few villains who are allegedly just as strong as him if not stronger/weaker, meanwhile someone else is out there battling the main villain who's the STRONGEST of them all. I'm led to believe that Gildarts' reputation is because of how many quests he possibly didn't fail, and that's why it's said that he's the "strongest" member of Fairy Tail. But who do YOU think it really is?
YouTube is preferred, but any online video playing site is fine with me. I would also like links to those playthroughs.
I have pretty much all the OST’s on disc but never once have I heard this song before that plays whenever she’s imagining one of the couples together. Does anyone know what the name of the song is and if I’ve just somehow missed it?
I'm rewatching the anime and back at battle of fairy tail arc i saw this contest again, and as imagined there was no winner in this contest as Hiro wouldn't be able to choose one, so i decided to analyse this in the most objective way and my conclusion was Cana is the winner. The biggest criterias were best pose and best outfit.
I didn't liked Juvia hair at battle of fairy tail so she is out, she also should have used something similar to her succubus form in Tower of Heaven. Mira sabotaged herself, so i don't have to talk much. Erza used black lolita outfit which i'm not a fan, she should have used the outfit she used in the festival at the end of the arc, she would have had the best outfit with it. Levy didn't even tried in practice. Bisca didn't do anything to beat Cana's pose. Evergreen as one of the arc villains wasn't even trying a outfit for the contest. Lucy visibly showed she was not well prepared, her outfit was nothing special, yes Evergreen also disturbed her, but i don't think she could have won against Cana there, she needed a better outfit and Cana's pose was the best at the time. Honestly back at the arc only Erza with festival outfit had an chance, but being fair she didn't used this outfit for the contest and neither posed with it.
Now take a look at the winner in her winning pose. Asking for horny scalers here, did i cooked?
While Athena had immense power and versatility in her power set (her Dragon Slayer Magic, White Magic, weaponry, and Alchemy) and while she was shown to be a devastating powerhouse in flashbacks, in modern day, we see her taken out by Duke and offscreened by Athena II. While there's various potential ways to explain the former, the latter event is what's interesting. Wendy and Rogue aren't weak, but Athena is not only Zeref-level, but has Dragon Slayer Magic that could pierce a Dragon God. And yet, she's on the floor when Ennie's World Alchemy is dissolved.
At the time I theorized Duke Interfered in the fight since he implied he could control Athena earlier in the Arc and later on, had a brief thought that maybe he just immediately fell back on the same "threaten Wendy" trick he had just used. But recently I remembered a line that Athena said in Chapter 138, which was "Viernes useder."
Now there's various ways this can be interpreted. But there's an interpretation that feels like, which could explain a number of characters' performances in the Arc. In Chapter 133, Duke uses Whiteout. While he could've learned it/been taught it by Athena, what if he was able to use it because after taking in Athena, he literally borrowed a portion of her power? After all, Whiteout isn't a spell limited to Athena and yet she says "Viernes used my power." We know that Duke acted as Viernes' voice so this could be what she meant. And if true, this could explain a number of things.
For starters, it'd mean Athena wasn't at full power against Athena II because Duke had taken some of his power to use himself. This could start to explain how Athena II, who should theoretically be weaker could beat her. But there's other potential interpretations, though these don't have the same kind of evidence that the first possible implication does. What if the reason Duke didn't use Whiteout against Natsu was because he didn't learn it himself, but was borrowing it, and gave some kf that power to Athena II? We know that she has the power to absorb Magic herself through the mouths on her hands. What if she gained this power from the portion of Athena's Magic Duke had borrowed?
This is never outright stated, and unlike the idea of Athena being nerfed, there isn't a line I could point to in the Manga to back it up. Its entirely possible Duke just gave Athena II Magic-absorbing capabilities and just didn't use Whiteout because the plot said it was time he lpst. But its also possible Athena II got that Magic absorbing power from Magic he borrowed from Athena, which could've given her more of an advantage in their fight.
This is all just a theory. But I can at least say that there's at least some evidence to back up the idea of Duke borrowing a portion of Athena's power.
Edit: When I had initially written this post, I said that I lacked evidence on the level of the initial argument to support that if Duke had borrowed some of Athena's power, that Athena II then got it. But, looking back at Chapter 148, when Duke realizes Natsu still has Magic, he sends Athena II to take it rather than doing so himself. Some might say he forgot od Mashima did, but with the first part of this theory in mind, this could also be evidence of the second part. Athena II might not have just been made with Wendy and Rogue's Magic, but with some of Athena's, hence her Magic absorbing power and being able to defeat the original. Heck, Duke did say Natsu was "no match for Athena II," implying she didn't just beat Athena, but him as well. And he did call it Sky-Shadow Dragon Mode. So maybe she had a Mode where she could focus more on this hypothetical power from Athena, but that is speculating hard on events that happened offscreen so I can't support it unlike the rest of the theory.
I honestly thought the author was diverting our expectations of "main characher/heroX heroine/ female lead" trope. I thought it was refreshing but never happened.
Though typical, NatsuXLucy obviously works well too.
Episode 31- A Star Removed from the sky time 15:04. They are at the magnolia hotspring but it's spelled magnoria? Is it a joke going over my head or is the hot spring itself magnoria?
A theory I've seen is that not only will Ignia succeed in reviving the Dragons, but the final villain group for 100YQ will be a Dragon army. And I agree with this theory. But if this were to occur, how do you think non-Dragon Slayer characters will get involved?
Do you think they'll be enchanted with Dragon Slayer Magic for a whole Arc (though that Enchantment seems temporary)? Do you think some will fight in human form which would somehow give non-Dragon Slayers a chance? Do you think they'll play some other roles in the plot?
Also, which groups of characters do you think will be involved in a final Arc? Just Team Natsu and/or Diabolos? Team Natsu, the rest of Fairy Tail, and Diabolos? Or do you think it'll be like Alvarez; mostly focused on the main cast and major side characters, but also including many of the side cast members in some way?
i prefer aries everything about her is the definition of lovely

Compraring to other animes filler arcs, I think Key of The Starry Sky Arc and Eclipse Celestial Spirits Arc was pretty good so I wonder do you think we can see a filler anime arc in upcoming anime 100 Year Quest too? If so what do you think it should about? I personelly would liked to see a filler arc about a minor dragon Elefseria said that George eat all dragon in continent except Dragon Gods, but maybe some of them can be hiding. I think it would be nice that dragon is turn out to be what Daphne saw when she was a child? What do you think?
