Kingdom is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara (泰久原).
The manga provides a fictionalized account of the Warring States period primarily through the experiences of the war orphan Shin (Xin) and his comrades as he fights to become the greatest general under the heavens, and in doing so, unifying China for the first time in history.

Hey guys i’m currently re reading kingdom and seeing a lot of people having honour guards /personal guard unit or something like a hitman team that follows their general like the ten spears, or like kanki had those 200 guys always with him. I was just wondering because i can’t remember shin having one as a 40,000 man general you’d think he’d have one, do you think it’s possible they will just show up in a fight instead of being introduced not in a fight because i really hope they pop up in this fight.
I only start watching Kingdom from live action movie on Netflix and then start the anime whole 4 seasons. On Manga, I started straight from Coalition Arc... look like I miss alot of good sh**.
Im currently on chapter 500 so please dont spoil just say yes or no, but kanki and his team are a bunch of d**kheads and I'm praying on his downfall but yet he's just allowed to keep doing what he wants. I know hes strong but like still F*ck him
I've always wondered. When reward ceremonies occur, there are increases in nobility rank, money, and all, and that I understand, but what are "units of treasures"? In comparison to let's say 2000 gold pieces, how much do 10 units of treasure means?
This is some kind of tradition for me. When I finish a manga and saw wasted potential characters (Such as Fire Dragons) I mostly make my own headcanons for them
Would you like to hear them?
I was really pissed with this Moubu dude... he acts so though all the time... and now he dragged everyone to hell even the GOAT Ouki.
For a good while now people complain(and sometimes rightfully so) that kingdom has been "generating" more and more "problems". Characters get tricked and act surprised and shocked more often for generally things that they should have expected, the writing of some events could have been better, Shin feels weak, the art is worse, so on and so forth, those are the claims that people who criticize Kingdom have. Do you feel and see those claims when you reread the manga or are they mostly nitpicks that unless if you analyze the chapters alot more you wouldn't notice most of them?
I saw earlier a post about T'ien Tan who defeated the Yan army and liberated Qi so I thought it would be nice if there is another one talking about what I believe is the third strongest general in that period after Hakuki and Riboku.
What you guys think about Great General Ko Chou?
-His Army
-His role as a villain
-His Strenght
-His performance as a GG
Etc.
Why was Ei sei smuggled out of Zhao by Shika in the first place? How would guards at the checkpoints recognise who Sei actually was, couldn't they just walk through without hiding him?
So I’m rereading the WZI arc and just finished chapter 531. Now ignoring Riboku’s teleporting, why didn’t either Shin or Mouten just kill Kisui?
He was right there, and if they killed him they could have flipped the flow of battle. But they both just decide to back off. I know Shin went for Riboku but Mouten should have still been able to get him. Am I just stupid or am I missing something?
I am currently on vol. 12 during my first read through, I plan on reading primarily, but are there any seasons or parts of the anime that are worth watching?
If Shin will be given a mission where his army alone is the only army, how can Shin's army be built??
I can see right side with kyokai Left side with shosui and en And middle will be 3 armies with Suugen, Hairuu a d Den Yuu
I was thinking of this 3 circles in his hands, what does it mean?
Can be any weapon tbh. I’m just giving weapons to General’s who didn’t show any in the manga
For example I gave Rihaku a Glaive+Sword duo. Or Batou a big ass Glaive.
Hi guys, I have been looking for an Kingdom anime edit which should represent everything of it but as I looked again and again I just found disappointment. If any of you saw a good enough edit or have one kindly tell in comments. It's just a small favor.
Hey folks,
I'm working on an upcoming video dedicated to the mountain tribes and highlight of Yo Tan Wa and Bagio.
Looking for your input on how you perceive them, their impact in the story, their roots etc
In case you enjoy Kingdom video content, I've released recently:
Check out my profile if you're interested.
For now, help me give everyone good content on the mountain tribes, and let's witness more people watching and reading Kingdom 😁
Excluding these topics because they've been beaten to death already.
One thing I find annoying is how much he relies on making characters look stupid to make another look smart instead of the smart person just naturally outshining the other people. In early Kingdom I felt like he was better at making smart people come across in that way naturally, but these days he'll have Ten, Shoubunkun, Mouki, Shin, or even Mouten act really surprised and dumb all the time so he can prop up the smarter characters. Mouten for example hasn't had a good natural intelligence moment since he revived the Makou army in Shukai plains almost 300 chapters ago. It's like Hara worfs his characters in intelligence and it feels quite cheap at times.
What do you think Hara's not good at?
