just some random thought I had
I think it looks pretty sleek for a rough draft!
Anything missing from what you'd want in a Sailor Moon skin for the Nintendo Switch? I want all the suggestions I can get before I do the first test run!
Hi everyone,
(If this isn't the right kind of reddit to talk casually about emulation, please tell me where I should go :D )
I just wanted to express how happy I am to have found the reason why I remembered old games to look way better than when I replayed them a few decades later !
I always used to play emulators, as a pre-teen up to now, although quite sporadically those last 15 years (PC is the main reason), so I've been gradually used to the look of old game with vanilla emulator setting (huge pixels).
Recently I finished Golden Sun on Switch Online, and just before the end I looked at the option and saw the "how it used to be" option or something like that.
I turned it on, and oh god the spell effects looked WAY more crisp and cool, the whole game itself too !
Then I looked at this video and everything made sense : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sxKJeYSBmI
I'm right now using Bsnes with a shader called "crt royale" (preinstalled) and it's MINDBLOWING !
It FINALLY look like how games used to look like in the 90s !!!
I guess many of you know this already, but using a CRT filter (Royale seems to be the best afaik) will make old games (1st to 6th generation) look better, cause in general the graphics will look less pixelated, with more colors, transparency effects, reflection effect etc ...
I always thought people playing in CRT TVs were just a cult refusing to evolve for no good reasons, I was DEAD WRONG !!!
Have a good day folks !
(Sorry for the bad English, I'm French ... ^^')
I don't know about anyone else, but I despise those slippery surfaces in the ice levels or those hidden exits and annoying secrets in the Ghost Houses. Water isn't so bad but water levels are just kind of annoying in general because swimming isn't that fast or efficient.
Hi all im currenly conducting a survey about nintendo for academy purpose (Thesis) , i figure i will post my survey here since its related to Nintendo and your response will be great for my research. Its a short and simple survey and the survey will only take around 5~6 minutes to complete and all personal information and data collected in this survey will be used strictly for the purposes of this research study and will not be shared with any third parties or used for any other purposes. Thank you!
I saw this code to get a 7 day free trial for Nintendo Switch Online with my Super Mario Party Jamboree, is this a new thing ? I have never seen it before
Went through the games that I own/have access to via NSO, and still have interest in beating. I’ve played a lot of these, but none for more than an hour.
Only exception is Hyrule Warriors. I’ve beaten that game but not completed. My goal is to beat all these games, and complete Hyrule Warriors AOC.
I’m about an hour into Galaxy.
What would y’all recommend I prioritize?
