anybody hear "OH SHIT!" in the panic sfx
How do I make it so that you have to defeat a boss to get a key, because when I just put the key over the boss in the editior mode the key is visible during the bossfight and I can just grab it without defeating the boss

This is a course I made with a haunted hotel/tower of terror theme. I posted about this course yesterday and I got a few plays but it seemed like too many people were dying in the final platforming section. In this reupload, I made the platforming a bit more forgiving. Please check it out :p

For the style, I alternated between SMB and SMB3, only the castles are in SMW because I like the pixel art of the Koopalings.
I've tried to do something coherent with increasing difficulty, with levels that can be completed fairly quickly and that take up classic SMB3 level design ideas, so one level = one central idea, and each world ends with a castle or a ship, so I really wanted the player to feel that the levels follow on from each other quickly and well.
I think one of the big strengths of my Super World are castles and boss fights, but I'll let you judge ! The levels are mostly short because I really wanted it to flow smoothly, that's why I only put one power up per level ! So you'll probably need to stay focused, even if it's not very hard overall !
I took some liberties at the end and the final levels can be difficult, but some surprises await you !
My world had been much appreciated on French forums back then, I was thinking about the game again while talking about it with a friend and I thought I should share it with you too, I sincerely hope you will like it !

I walked through a fun IRL maze today, that I of course want to recreate in Mario Maker 2 :)
In the maze, you have to alternate walking through red and blue gates, and reach the exit. That is, you cannot go through two blue doors in a row or two red doors in a row. The solution is not straight-forward.
Now, does anyone of you whizzes have ideas how to create such a mechanic for the gates? On/off doors naturally come to mind, but they would need to switch automatically when passing through. Possible to pull that off? Any other mechanic?
"Walking" could be done as balloon Mario in a SMW setup, but the crux of the design problem is enforcing the rule for the gates!

Are there any ways to stop a spiny shell from moving after you threw it? I know you can use a claw but it takes up too much space in a one screen puzzle

I am trying to make a super world that exceeds the 40 levels lol limit and I ran into an issue There's nothing wrong with it but it won't upload i don't know why I had uploaded 78 levels So far maybe that's the problem? I don't know but can someone please help me how do I fix this?

2D8-2SF-SBG Here’s my new level, built it in one day, beat it in one day. After about three years I’m getting back to building. Let me know if it’s fun or if it’s bad, if I have to change anything, if I have to add anything, be as brutal as you like. It’s pretty challenging (or maybe I’m just bad). Either way I don’t know about build etiquette too much so let me know! If you want you can play my other two levels, my older levels are basically trash besides maybe two. Have fun and good luck!
