They make you do the absolutely specific moves in tight spaces in order to complete the level which is honestly just unfair.
I thought the mega mushroom was only functional on Wii U, not 3ds
As per title, anyone got tips?
Generally, I appreciate levels with a high degree of interactivity between the level and player, and the ON/OFF switch seems the best way to do that. But any level that fits that bill, such as: walls being removed, bridges appearing, new routes opening, weights and see-saws. You get the gist? (also - apart from here, where's the discussion going on around Mario Maker 2 levels?

I know that you cant get it anymore but I have a doubt and I think that it was smmWIIU exclusive
I want to play your stages with spooky elements. Ghost houses, dry bones, sunken pirate ships, you name it. I want to play anything that fits the vibe of my favorite season, month, and holiday, please and thank you!
Here's my contribution:

Hey guys! Today, I finally uploaded a new level for my Kaizo Super World. It's called "Still Lost" and its ID is [43M-B8D-6DF].
For this one, I wanted to try something really new, and I thought of making a mix between puzzle and kaizo levels. The result is definitely a really weird level, but one that I'm proud of nonetheless. It doesn't use any kaizo tech at all, and instead just requires precise inputs and a bit of figuring out what to do in each part.
The last part in particular is something I've had in mind for the longest time, but I wasn't sure about how to do it. Hopefully it works well enough tho.
One more thing I want to add is that in the few last posts, I've been talking about trying to get back to my original schedule of a level per week. I've finally accepted that this is imposible, not only because of starting college, but also cause the levels are naturally harder now, so I need more time to clear them. Therefore, I rather take a bit more time with each of them.
Anyways, sorry about yapping a bit longer than normal. As always, be sure to comment one of your levels for others to try and thanks for reading!
I’ve been building a level in the 3D world style because I really wanted to explore the helicopter power up but it’s driving me a bit nuts that 3D world doesn’t seem to have any 1x1 blocks that do damage. The only thing I see is the 2x2 spike block.
I basically just want a 1x1 block that can remove the helicopter power up from the player. Ive been using other power ups to do this but in the current section Im working on this won’t work.
Is there really no 1x1 damaging block for 3D World or am I just missing it?

I'm asking about levels like this one I just came across: https://smm2.wizul.us/smm2/course/RKF-JRH-XRF
I feel like there used to page somewhere that compiled all known tech in the game, but maybe that was just for the first game. The wiki I found for MM2 tech only has 14 entries.
Pls play and give me y’all’s opinions, the ID is: S3Q-LL4-2DG
Please enjoy my Stargate themed Mario maker level. I tried to incorporate clips from the show to make it more interesting. Even if you’ve never seen Stargate, I think you might enjoy this.
Here are my three Spider-Man levels based on the MCU Films. I have done levels for the other film Spider-Men as well. I love these films so they were fun to design The levels were made on my SMM2 Account: Tony $tank (RR2-FSJ-QYG) I will leave the level ids below so you can play them. The levels are meant to be fairly short auto-scroll levels with a boss at the end. The web hooks are fun to use and I try to get really creative with using them. Enjoy

I have a concept for a puzzle of sorts where you're given a set, looping room and you have to find a "secret exit," of sorts, but I want to go beyond simple, mindless things like, "hey, there's a kaizo block with a vine above this set of ? blocks" etc. but I originally set the idea aside because I couldn't think of anything besides maybe hiding an on/off block somewhere, and housing the door behind the blocks?
Does anyone have any ideas for a "secret" path that's actually thought provoking?
Hey guys, I started playing Super Mario Maker on 3DS a while ago and I was wondering if there was a cheat that unlocks every building item (cuz I don't want to beat Mario Challenge)
Do u guys have a link or something?
Thx

5 stages with 2 cps. I’m not really sorry.
About to start Mario Maker 2 for first time I have 2 questions.
Do you need to play story first to unlock things to build with?
How much storage do I need on my switch to build lots of stages?
Back in 2020, like many, I spent countless hours in quarantine playing Mario Maker 2. Over 300 hours later, I had designed dozens of platforming challenges that not only honed my love for game design but also reignited a dream I had shelved years ago—making my own game. The creativity and freedom in Mario Maker 2 inspired me to start designing levels and characters for what would later become BeDo, a retro platformer about a galactic dough ball saving the universe.
The skills I learned from making levels—like understanding pacing, flow, and how to keep players engaged—transferred directly into developing BeDo. Now, two years later, I’m working with a small team, and we’re close to finishing a game that was born from those early Mario Maker experiments. Shoutout to this amazing community for sparking that creativity! Anyone else find themselves using Mario Maker as a stepping stone for bigger projects
