Hori super NES classic fighter controller.. customizable?

I wondered if the Hori fighter controller for snes classic can be configured (somehow) so the L/R shoulder buttons register as distinct button presses from the L/R face (so it becomes an 8 button controller)

I bought SNES-mini the first day they arrived al Wal-Mart at 2am. I modded it to add extra games as soon as I saw it could be done so I likely have one of the very first Mods released. Is there anything I am missing out on? What is the main difference between my "1st gen" mod and the latest ones?

...btw, I love it, & it works just fine, ...I'm just curious if it is worth my time to try and re-flash it. The old saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" has been my biggest motivation in not ever looking into this since I first uploaded all of my own ROMs years ago.

Screen fuzzy on boot with no audio?

FIXED!!!

The hakchi boot screen always looks perfectly sharp, but in the actual menus and games, everything is fuzzy. The only audio I really hear is the first drum beat of the menu song, and after that, nothing.

Edit: fixed, it was a display problem. To anyone else with this problem, just switch the HDMI port.

SNES Mini having a hard time turning on

The past few days I've been playing and it had a hard time turning on. Like it'd turn on, but then turn off again. Then after I tried again it would work.

Now the red light comes on, but only for a few seconds, then goes out, and the game doesn't come up on the screen. I am using the original power cables that came with it (bought it new).

Any way to fix this or get Nintendo to repair it? I tried to set up a repair on the Nintendo website but couldn't figure out how. I put in the serial number but it just said the warranty status couldn't be determined.

MiniSNES - OBS audio question

Hey everybody,

I bought a cheap capture card to link my mini SNES to my laptop so I could record my playtime with OBS.
It's actually working pretty great if I don't output the audio on my laptop via OBS (video only) but the audio is being records with no issue in the recordings.
When I do output the audio there is quite a delay of +/- a second and it also seems scramble the audio in the recordings, as if it's being recorded twice.

Is there some way around this?
Like maybe using one software to stream the SNES (video and audio) and using OBS separately to make the recording?

Another Random Question, but if you mod a SNES mini, will all your data get erased?

I've just gotten really far in Earthbound and I don't want to start the game all over again.

Could Anyone Link Me A Place Where I Could Send My SNES Classic For Repairs?

I’m from Germany, and two years I ordered an American SNES Classic because the European ones couldn’t play Chrono Trigger on them. A couple months ago though, it stopped functioning properly, making random directional inputs almost the entire time, but because I live in Germany I can’t find a site where they fix the American version of the console. Can someone help?

Mega Man X3 Zero Project malfunctioning

Mega Man X3 has a mod called the Zero Project which makes the character Zero fully playable, redoes the order items are collected, and most importantly adds a save / load system via SRAM. The screen for it works perfectly on my PC running SNES9X. However, on the mini SNES, absolutely none of the versions of SNES9X render the save screen - they just black out and crash the console with the normal music in the background. Canoe doesn't boot at all. It's not a bad rom. Any help?

Weird video connector

Hey guys.

I came across a super minines unit that had controllers and wires but nothing else.

When trying to hook it up to a tv, I noticed that the AV out was something that looked like a jack audio output and a power input that is a USB B.

Can someone tell me what that AV connector is? It was not provided with the unit and I seem to find non information online about the wire I need to use the console.

I added a picture of the back.

Thanks

How much should I pay for a SNES mini these days?

I’ve been looking into buying a snes mini and I’m just curious what a decent price would be for an authentic one these days.

N64 controller & usb games on SNES

I found out today that I can also add N64 games to my snes and they will run well. My questions are..

How do I get a wired and wireless N64 remote to hook up to the console and will the console recognize the buttons if I'm playing an N64 game or do I have to play the game off retroarch and map the buttons.

I have completely filled my SNES mini with all the games I want perfectly spent forever getting everything right all games working etc.. If I just want to keep it the way it is without messing it up or over writing anything how do I just add a bunch of N64 games to USB and just use that.

How do I export a saved file from the SNESmini and use that file on RetroArch?

Hi yall!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to use my SNES mini for a while, but I have plans to keep playing Crono Trigger on RetroArch and I'm already fighting Magnus on the game, so I'm almost done with it.

My Windows 11 doesn't recognize my SNES mini when I plug it in, but I can use the Save State Manager to export the mini's saved states. Although, the Mini's saved files come in a different format (.clvs).

The game I'm working on is Crono Trigger. So, I opened the Chrono Trigger.clvs file with 7zip. and I extracted its file that is "Chrono Trigger" with no extension.
I extracted it and put it in a folder named Chrono Trigger Save. The content extracted from the Chrono Trigger file are:

  1. cartridge.sram
  2. cartridge.hash
  3. 3 folders: suspendpoint1, suspendpoint3, and suspendpoint4.

inside each suspendpoint folder are 2 files and one folder.
The files are; state.png, and state.time.
The folder is called rollback.

Inside the rollback folder there are 12 files; 0.break, 0.inputs, 1.break, 1.inputs, 2.break, 2. inputs, 3.break, 3.inputs, 4.break, 4.inputs, 5.break, and sram.hash

Can I rename the cartridge.sram to Crono Trigger.srm and paste it on the RetroArch saved files folder?

Wired 8bitdo controller works on the Snes mini?

So I recently bought this wired controller to play games on my PC.

https://www.8bitdo.com/pro2-wired-controller/

Is there any adapter to use this controller on the Snes mini?

miniSnes autofires

My miniSnes autofires and uses all the hearts in Castlevania, it won't let me enter the gate door in 1.st level and scrolls the screen back and forward in Mario World (the L/R button thing). Both controllers do the same thing. General feels like input is always 2...3 frames late. MiniSnes in as original as it can be. So far tested with two sets of controllers and two sets of psu (and about five different cabels). What to do?

PSX games (Poor Quality)

Hi. I have tried to hack my SNES to play PSX games. I need some help with my mini device. I use the neon emulator. I once turned on final fantasy VII and the image was decent. Unfortunately, after a few weeks, I had to change something in the settings, because the quality of games, especially the demanding ones, dropped significantly. I searched in the retroaech settings, but I didn't find anything interesting, returning to the default settings didn't help either. I only found the option "enhancement resolution" the image improved significantly again, but this time it was different. the sound screeched and the frames were delayed. So I turned on speedhack for it, but it didn't help much. I don't know. I don't see many other options, I can't play on the default settings, because the image is terrible. Can someone tell me if the image on your devices are also so weak in these demanding games? If not, does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks a lot ^^>.

How many games can the mini Snes contain? Just curious.

Hi guys. While back i bought an SNES mini on ebay that was modded and had a ton of games. More than 100 i believe.

Anyway, so my friend also has an SNES Mini but came with the regular amount of games and he wanted to add a ton of games. He saw a youtube video and went to download hackchi and long story short there were some SFC files that were downloaded and added to his program. Turns out Less than maybe 80 were able to be added. Anyone know if its because of the file type or other reason? Thank you!

SNES Classic fakes and troubles

Recently I got the itch to play my SNES Classic I pre-ordered, but there is a problem. I couldn't find the thing! I turned my house upside down, asked my girl, even talked to friends to see if I left it at their house. No sign of it aside from the box it came that I keep. So I decide to order off of Ebay... and it's a fake. Turns out there is a bunch of fakes on Ebay! Who knew? Not me. So I decide to try again while refunding the fake and find one from a seller SPECIFICALLY advising to be aware of fakes from China. It's a fake too! I throw my hands up and on a whim decide to call a used videogame store in town and turns out they have one! A real SNES Classic! So I refund both fakes and ship them back with the USPS and pick up the real one from the store. But now a new wrinkle, one of the sellers is hounding me on Ebay, even threatening legal action apparently.

Is anyone else having as much drama and trouble with acquiring one of these as me?

I hacked my snes years ago

I used hackchi ages ago.

I want to go back in and load more games (probably gonna use a different computer)

Will anything be wiped on my system?

I have hours into games (base games and added games) that I don’t want to lose.

Side question: what consoles can hackchi run? What should I add?

Mini SNES hack - problem adding/removing games

I am seeing a bizarre occurrence where Hakchi recognises that I have added and removed games from the list and I've made the necessary adjustments with the folders, etc. But upon switching the Mini SNES on, these changes aren't being recognised. The games I added aren't showing, and the games I deleted are still showing! Any idea what could be causing this problem?
