I apparently left my PlayStation on all day, came home after 9 hours it was still sitting on the Home Screen but dimmed. No game open, no apps open. I thought the PS5 automatically entered rest mode after a set period of time though? So is this normal or?

I’ve had my PS5 for just over a month now, worked perfectly fine up until today.

Out of nowhere, it just doesn’t display anything. I turn on the console and the light turns white and my tv recognizes that an hdmi is connected, but it just says “check device power”.

I’ve tried to get into safe mode, and the system beeps twice, but still no display. I’ve watched some tutorials on how to use safe mode and I’ve used it blind by clicking through and trying to change resolution and when the system is supposed to reset as per the videos, it does, but still no display so I know I’m in safe mode, it just doesn’t display anything.

I’ve tried 3 HDMI cords on a tv and a monitor. Tried power cycling, unplugging and plugging everything in. Not sure what else I can try. I can probably get it covered by Sony’s warranty but I’d prefer to not lose my console for a few weeks.

I can’t imagine I’ve damaged any of the hardware as I have hardly moved my ps5 since unboxing and setting up.

Any ideas?

I’ve had this problem for about a week now. Whenever I clip something in game it won’t upload to the app. I’ve tried manually uploading, auto upload is on, have 1920 x1080 resolution, and the clips are short. It doesn’t matter what game I clip, how short or long the clip is, it just won’t upload. And my ps5 is connected to the app, since I can still download and open games from the app and stuff. Please help.

If so, how is it? What’s it like? Is it worth it? What’s the rewards like? Are the reward points acquired for any purchase made on the PlayStation store? What can you redeem said points for?

I’m new to all of this “adulting” type stuff, but tend to spend a lot on collecting hardware, games, micro transactions, etc. I was wondering if this would maybe be a way to help make a little in return/get rewarded for how much I’ve shoveled to Sony over the years. 😅

My PS5 was working great at 3am. I go to sleep and do my errands and such go to play some Skyrim and the System wont turn on. Its the digital version. Wont react to fascia button or controller being plugged in. PS Support online didnt help me at all. Im thinking its the melted thermal paste issue because i had it standing upright for a few months. Any insight or videos or anything would be helpful. TIA

I'm trying to connect my ps5 remote to my Samsung smart TV, and have followed all the typical instructions. I can get the controller connected for about 10 seconds (albeit very laggy) and then it just disconnects and the light turns off on the controller. I tried connecting via USB and the same thing happens. It registers and a notification pops up on my TV saying duelsense controller connected, I can push a couple buttons and it reacts (slowly) and then the controller turns off.

I've tried resetting the TV, resetting the controller, unpairing and then re-pairing and also hard wiring via USB. I'm starting to think it's something wrong with my TV.

What am I doing wrong here? Trying to connect to my Xbox app and would love to get it to work.

Honest question. I have yet to play either game, but I’ve watched a number of reviews. It seems like everything people criticize Suicide Squad for being is what Marvel Rivals is. Just curious what’s the difference is the way it’s perceived.

I don’t see any trophies attached to a ps2 streamed game. It also doesn’t offer the option to download the game. Just stream. Is it just not available?

Do i wait 10 days for new playstation deals or buy subnautica right now for 30 what are the odds of it getting re added to the deals in less than 2 months

I did a little research online for the best SSD for my console and someone said they swear by this company for a storage upgrade. This is completely new territory to me, so I’m basically going in blind on what to expect. These aren’t cheap, so I’d like to get the best bang for my buck while keeping a decent speed on my PS5. so, recently my ps4 has given out achievements to other accounts. when I play a game, it gives the achievements to not just my account but the other ones on the console. it never did this before. the only fix I found to this I to turn of the console and log in to my account while the other accounts are not. please help found a way to permantly fix this issue.

So a bit of context: A friend of mine gave me his PS5 and told me that it turns off whenever he plays fortnite and marvel rivals. I formatted it, turned sleep time to off, set the console to performance mode, put it vertically on a fairly ventilated area near my tv on a table, restore fortnite licenses and I even opened the console and did a very deep clean to all components starting with the main fan all the way to the motherboard, radiators and the PSU using a soft brush to get harder to clean parts such as the tiny holes in the PSU.

The odd thing is, that whenever I'm playing PS4 games (RDR2) the console doesn't turn off by itself even after a couple of hours of playtime (aprox 2-4 hours of constant use).

Anyone has any idea what might be happening to the console for it to turn off by itself? I'm running out of ideas on what I can do to fix the issue

Me, my wife and my oldest son recently finished beating Astrobot to 100% completion. I bought the game for Christmas for my oldest son who is 5 and slowly becoming a gamer like his dad. At this point in my life I typically only play sports games or shooters like Warzone. I bought Astrobot as I let my son play Astro’s Playroom since it was already loaded on my PS5 and he fell in love with Astrobot. Hell, my wife has never been into video games and even she even loves the game and takes turns playing with us. It became a sort of family ritual every weekend to play the game together and I really enjoyed that. It brought me back to the types of games I played as a kid on PS1 like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.

Anyways, the games over and although my son is starting the game all over again, I would love to buy a new game for us that is very similar. Can you guys kindly recommend some games similar to Astrobot that might be family friendly?

I’ve been having this issue for over a week. The internet connects to my ps5 and I’m able to use apps like YouTube and Hulu but the nat type connection keeps failing so I can’t play online even though I pay for ps+ :(. Searched up a crap ton of YouTube videos with no solutions. I’ve also restarted my ps5 and the also restarted the router twice. Any suggestions would really help I just want to enjoy my time off and play some COD.

As you can see, I have 9 hours on it but down there on the bottom right there is a price down there which means I have to pay to play the full game but the game is still available to me? I am really confused as to whether I own the game or not. I have ps plus essential that I pay for monthly, is that maybe why I am able to play it?

And im just here watching too kill a mockingbird. Already got the achievement for watching a bit of it, but I’m curious if anything else happens if I sit and wait for the entire movie to end lol

I'm about ready for a PS5 now. Thing is I still am using my 65in old HDTV flat screen. Will the picture really be that horrid especially with a game like BG3?

I linked my portal to my ps5. Plugged an ethernet running 200+mbps and im at work and i cant even play my games bc it wont connect. Ive spent more time trying to make this thing work than it actually working. Obly reason i got it is due to new updates from playstation which geared me towards buying this. Now that i have it this might be the dumbest thing ive ever boughten. All I want to do is play marvel rivals 🤣 Let me know what ideas you have to fix this or things that have worked for you

I can’t find FF13 first game but the rest is there, I don’t understand, it’s the only game of FF that has not been ported to PS4 and PS5 either. Have I been doing something wrong because when I research it says all of FF13 is in PS3. I use Brazil store.

Hey all! this 43-year-old fossil is looking to relive the glory days of split-screen gaming on the PS5. My reflexes might be shot, my eyesight's going, and I'm pretty sure my gamer thumb is developing arthritis, but I refuse to believe split-screen is dead! So, hit me with your best PS5 split-screen game recommendations. Any genre is welcome, as long as it involves sharing a screen (and maybe some snacks).
