For all you sickos who actually managed to get all 286 orbs or platinum’d the game what was the hardest gold in the game?
I’ll go first: the NYFE races, and scatter gun course absolutely suck but MOTHER FUCK the Errol city race. There is NO room for error (no pun intended) you hit one civilian, blow one turn, or the dreaded tight canal sections. FUCK THAT RACE!!!!
I’d love to hear people’s thoughts lol
2 days ago I found out I could buy jak 3 on ps4 so I did, tonight without further delay, I want to thank again the op of @jak&daxter post who made me realise I could play officially, not only on pc ports, but to support jak once again after 20 f*king years, I finally did it, and I feel like a child again, with tears in my eyes, I want to thank Jason Rubin and the whole team (if anyone can tag him I would appreciate it) for making my whole childhood the best, 20 years later I’m enjoying the game once more like a kid who got a new game for Christmas and didn’t know it would define the rest of his life.
Once again, thanks Naughty Dog, even after the success of Uncharted, you made a kid happy twice in his lifetime.
Much Love,
Mike.
These are two of my favorite games in all of the PlayStation titles list. And to find out that one helped influence the other is freakin amazing
Now take this with a grain of salt, but from what I've seen, Jak 2 and 3 don't really seem like good JAK games. They might be good games, but from what I've seen, they don't have the same charm. Now a reminder that I have not played Jak 2 and 3, so feel free to tell me what you like about it so I can have a more open mind about these games.
holy fuck I never want to have to hear that trick counter ding again. Never thought I'd make this and it feels like a fluke. I bet if I went back to do it again I'd get less than 80k
I bought all 3 Jak parts for the PS2 that I played as a child. However, I seem to have completely forgotten that the camera is inverted... I absolutely can't get used to it, it's terrible for me. Is there no way to change that? and is it the same in the HD trilogy for the PS3? because I ordered this but if the same happens with the control there I will have to cancel it
20+ years later and I’m still playing the trilogy once a year.
This has probably been asked a thousand times, but even after going through the FAQ and controller support page multiple times I’m still unable to make my ps4 controller work on Opengoal.
I just bought it, plugged it in with a cable, I’m unsure what to do next.
Tried mapping dk.exe to Steam but nothing happens except an error in the simili-command windows that opens, the program shuts down immediately after.
Apparently the controller is supported without needing any extra steps, but it visibly isn’t the case.
If anyone who’s been successful could guide me that would be great.
Thank you for the help.
Playing this masterpiece of a game for the second time on a new save. I hate the Playstation Port with a passion but it's all I got and it was fun finishing the game for the first time in a long time last year. Can't wait to do it all again this year :D
Hey everyone, just bought Precursor Legacy, 2 and 3, and I’m hella hyped. Imma big fan of Uncharted and TLOU, do you guys have any tips or helpful things? Is there any carry over from this franchise onto Uncharted and TLOU as I’m very familiar with those. Thanks everyone:)
Hello everyone✨
It's been a great run being the primary mod of this community for the last 9 years, but I've just not had it in me anymore to spend time in this role. While we have a great team of moderators currently, I think it's time to pass the responsibilities onto a new team of individuals who're capable of giving this subreddit and its community the attention they deserve.
TL;DR - It's been a fantastic 9 years but I've been lacking and it's time to move on.
If you would like to apply to become a moderator please send a modmail including your answers to the following questions:
Which if your favourite game in the franchise?
Why would you like the be a moderator of /r/JakAndDaxter?
How would you handle the following situations:
A user repeatedly violates subreddit rules despite warnings.
A heated argument breaks out in the comments.
A post gets flagged as inappropriate, but it isn’t explicitly against the rules.
I'll try to find a team of 2-3 people to join sometime before the end of the week, so if you're interested let me know because I'd love to have this subreddit return to a level of moderatorship that the community deserves again.
In the midst of collecting green echo, i triggered the alarm by bumping into a krimzon guard on the jet-board (major skill issue on my part to be fair). I beat the side mission and was killed RIGHT as Torn finished his completion dialogue. As i saw jak dead, the orbs appeared on the floor just chillin there. After respawning and going back to the location of death, there was no orbs. Sat in silence for a solid 5 mins defeated.
idk what to do, finish it, restart, or just play jak 3 lmfao
I still have my PS2 and old copies of the game, but seeing this community made me want to replay them on my PS5.
If I want to replay the original trilogy, do I need a PS Plus subscription to stream them or can I just buy them?
Every time i accidentally drive into a Crimson guard (even with the hoverboard) Jak becomes the most wanted person alive. It's not even a star system like in GTA, it's all or nothing. I really like the whole vibe of fighting the guards, with the action music, but when it happens all the time it gets really boring and frustrating.
Also the cars are exploding all the time, it's so tightly in some places that it's almost impossible to not crash or run into a guard.
I love Jak 2, its a great game but its not really balanced. I don't even think the game is that hard, but it's really time consuming because of the lack of checkpoints
Now that I think about it, it was very similar mechanics to the Kinetica. Many of you may have never heard of Kinetica, go check it out in YT.
How did Praxis know Jak would arrive at Haven the way he did? The quote “we’ve been waiting for you” I don’t quite understand how they knew
