I’m new to soulsborne games, I just beat the blood starved beast after a couple tries and had a similarly easy time with the previous two bosses. When should I expect the game to seriously hand me on my ass for a while?

Right now I have three items that I don’t really see myself using:

• Empty Phantasm Shell • Augur of Ebrietas • Beast Roar

My arcane stat is at 7 and it looks like I’d need to put at least 8 more points in to use any of these. Is there any other reason to save them if I’m not planning on upgrading arcane at all? This is my first play through, so I’m not really worrying about anything too complicated with stats. Should I just sell them?

Their attacks have no telegraphs at all. Theres 5-8 of them at a time. It’s like belfry gargoyles with 5 of them. The fight is either run away for 70 seconds to get two attacks in or get him by no telegraph attacks. Honestly I feel like this fight just doesn’t work. Some would argue it teaches you spacing and not to get greedy but how is it greedy to try to punish one of them and get hit but another? Rant over but this fight is dogshit. At least Laurence made me feel something. On a new character with church pick at +8 after Rom but they feel so crappy.

I was playing BSB today and outta curiosity I summoned Alfred and while I’m fighting in mid of it, the bsb glitched into corner stuck into phase two just screaming.., unlike the previous vase glitch and out of bounds glitch this one is different.., it stays in the arena just screaming and no matter how much you attack it never attacks but in a constant scream state.., since I can’t share the video ; y’all can DM me for the clip ( warning : too much loud screaming noises ; i won’t recommend headphones )

I was doing invasions in murgos loft. No cheap shit, just a quick bow and a clean dual. Most people were good sports about it. Anyways I invaded this guy named Krookback. He was very obviously a new player, saw cleaver and all. Maybe even his first playthrough. He ran up and caught me mid bow with the r1 spam, got me to half health before I got away. Normally I would leave the world if I felt like I was being a dick, but Krookback was an aggressive little guy, non stop charging me and r1 Spamming, so I had no choice but to fight. During the battle he pulled out all the new player tricks, fire paper, saw cleaver go burr, hitting me with his blunderbuss from 15 feet away lmao. But in the end, I'm a veteran player and I won the battle. I moved on with my night of invasions. Having a good time, when suddenly... I'm in Krookbacks world again. Now again, I don't want to be a dick, but I was curious what he was up to, so I went looking for him, not planning to fight, just wanted to check on my fellow hunter. I looked around all over, couldn't find him. I Decided he might be outside the boss arena so I take the elevator up, then BAM! Krookback is blocking my exit to the elevator. He jumps in r1 Spamming, the elevator gets triggered and begins to go back down, we are locked in a tiny space, he's cleaving me with Vengeance, I'm rolling for my life. We make it to the bottom and I escape the elevator with some health, but Krookback planned ahead. As soon as we exit he hits me with a numbing mist and charges for me, THAT CRAFTY SON OF A BITCH. I'm running for my life at 1 health, trying to wait out the numbing mist. I lead him into the pigs. He is swarmed and is forced to deal with the new theat. While he's Is fighting the eldritch abominations, I finally am able to heal. I equip some numbing mist of my own and turn to face my opponent.. but he is nowhere to be seen, disappearing into the level. Not so fast Krookback, I know all your tricks, for I was once you. I set off on my hunt, searching for him all over the map. But mergos loft is HUGE, so many places he could he hiding. I looked high and low, took many elevators and using clues left behind to track him. After about 20 minutes of searching I decided to check back at the boss arena incase Krookback was up to his old tricks. I had a plan this time. Start fully charging my Holy Blade half way up and release the second I arrive incase he was waiting for me at the top. It would've worked perfectly too, but he wasn't there.. I continued my search and ended up in the area you drop down to after dropping the mensis brain. The only way out of this area was through a locked door that I, as an invader, could not unlock (I'm not sure if this is true but I wasn't interested in looking for a way out). I had no where to go but return home. I had lost, Out witted by Krookback. I respect the ingenuity too. GG, sorry if I was fucking up your run, but a hunter must hunt.

TLTR : I was outwitted by a new player with a crazy plan. And forced to forfeit the dual.

I'm waiting for anyone who wants to help me with this boss.

So I'm trying to do the eileen quest so i can get the crow hunter badge and i'm wonder if i messed it up? I don't think I talked to her at the cathedral ward but i did talk to her after we killed Henryk so am i still on track to completing eileen questline?

Watchdog of the Old Lords in defiled chalice really fucked me up the fact that he can one shot you in 2 different ways is just frustrating as fuck at first i was going to platinum the game now i just get frustrated whenever i play it pls help i need tips. (cheeses are welcome btw).

Does anyone have any of the figma statues/figures? I’m looking for a bloodborne statue or something to display and I am thinking a figma one as the prime one is wayy too expensive

I mean i love it, I think it is an amazing game,I played it no less than 10 times, but it is such a weird case in gaming where i cannot pinpoint why i love it so much, It does so many things well, even too well, but it does not invent anything new, I mean most of the great stuff we see in bloodborne have been introduced in other games, The souls formula, The rapid combat, The very well made bosses( mostly)

If i had to guess, i'd say it comes down to 2 things, First is the vibes, there is nothing i played that resembles the ambience of bloodborne, the feeling of constant dread as you walk around , You can feel that something atrocious happened here, the game also excels at the "show do not tell" attitude, you can tell most of what happened just by playing the game.

The second thing and this might be a bit smart assy is the starting area, it is amazing in design, the way it loops around itself again, it nails the feeling of immersion IMO.

you think bloodborne is fairly evaluated among gamers, i sure know it is a matter of tastes, but if you think so, i'd like to know why.

Jumped back onto the game after years as I never played the DLC after completing the game. Not sure if it’s just me but I find the hunters and other big enemies really tough as in I don’t do much damage to them, is this because I’m starting on NG+1? I’ve only killed upto Vicar Amelia on NG, should I be trying to complete base game again or proceed a bit further before starting DLC?

For context I’m level 86 using whirlgig saw +7, I have saw cleaver +10 which does more slightly damage but I’m not trying to use that for the dlc playthrough.

I skipped old yharnam (still killed djura for the badge tho), but i need to beat bsb so i have enough beasts slain to send Arianna and the other dude to odeon chapel My next boss would be vicar Amelia but I’m struggling with the Cathedral ward Im trying to level up but the grind for blood souls taking too long 🫠🫠 I can get bsb to the third phase only using the hunters axe and dodge but I usually die when he uses the poison

Is this ever explained in the lore? I searched for it and can't really find an answer. The NPC hunters that attack you appear to be human but they are left alone by the various beasts across the lands. There are rare exceptions to this, rarely I have seen them attack the beasts just like other NPC beasts will fight each other on rare occasions.

The only possible explanation I can think of is that all the beasts think the hunter you play as specifically caused all the chaos, but even with that explanation the proof isn't very solid. I do think this is important to understand if you want to get a better idea of what the game is about.

On my third playthrough cause RTY is a thing. I've noticed that most of my deaths have consistently been to regular enemies, but most of the bosses I can do first try with little to no problem at all. Am I stupid?

Last achievement was the all weapons trophy, blade of mercy and then threaded cane lmao. Behind, of course, yharnam pthumerian queen.

What’s the lore behind these guys in the fishing hamlet? They lay motionless and going up to the one next to the well in the image above gives a “Search Body” prompt, so you can assume that these are bodies. But why do they spew accursed brew incantations? Is there a specific reason why these (assumingely) dead shamans emit a magic without actually being alive?

After trying to get into Bloodborne for the 5th time, I think it finally started getting a hold of me. I beat Father Cascoigne for the first time which felt really great and I found BSB to be pretty easy. I’ve actually been having fun, but after beating Vicar Amelia I just feel discouraged. It took me around 10 try’s and I just barely beat her using almost all of my blood vials. I’ve read she’s a fairly easy boss, if I had that much trouble beating her then what makes me think I can beat Orphan of Kos or any of the other harder bosses. I’m just scared I’m eventually going to quit the game again because it’s too hard and waste hours of my time.

I was in the middle of a series of videos going in depth about bloodbornes inspirations and lore but I can't seem to find it anymore. Help!

Finally started Bloodborne tonight and it’s my third FromSoft game (after Elden Ring and Demon Souls remake), liking it a lot so far! I’m surprised how manageable Cleric Beast was though, beat him first time without much trouble.

I find it strange because I’m definitely not a Souls expert, the previous two games kicked my ass countless times, but on Elden Ring I beat Margit first time with no issue and Cleric Beast was much of the same. Anyone else found it easier than expected at first only to eat their words later on?

Would he be important later? I wanted to end his suffering

I'm currently starting my first playthrough of the game and would like to see if any newer players who are playing need help with any bosses?

I got the shortcut to Iosefka's clinic from Forbidden Woods but when I was about to enter her room I heard her dialogue about wanting to fight and got scared (lol) and ran away so I wouldn't trigger the fight, and then didn't try to return until I defeated Rom because I heard I could get an umbilical cord from her. But when I went to the 1st floor sickroom lamp the front entrance to the clinic is closed and so is the shortcut that I got earlier. Did I lock myself out of the good ending?
