Title says it all
I haven't searched for a couple month's so is it possible
I can’t seem to find the necessary stuff for modding resident evil on ps4 from modded warfares video if you have any help please let me know any help would be appreciated
I thought this place would be the best to ask how to resolve this issue. My dualshock4 stopped getting charged a while ago, and I just said "its broken" and gave up on it. Now, I needed my ds4 for a game and decided to pull it apart one more time yet again to see if I can see any visible problems. I thought the problem was because of the charging port itself, but turns out it probably wasnt. These little yellow (gold?) thingies at the end of the cable that connects the charging port pcb to the main pcb are damaged on one end, 3 of them are just not sticked at all except the base and the rest are a little, wavy. How can I stick these back? Or do I even need to do that? Will flatting them enough somehow and managing to succesfully plug the cable in correctly once be enough for it to work?
Bonjour Jai un ps4 firware 11.02 est ce que je peut le flasher ou pas ?
Hey all! I was really curious to see what all kind of modifications everyone has done to their ps4 set up. Ive jailbroken and installed the internal mod chip but what else can i do? What else have you done? I personally am interested in adding a usb c charging port on the playstation along with a usb c charging port on the controller and maybe extra regular usb ports. What kind of frankenstein have you made doctor?
Hi, everyone!
When disassembling the ps4 to change thermal paste (which lowered the amount of jet fighter sounds substancially), I accidentally ruined the metal contact for the eject button, which left me with a completely non-functional eject button. Is there any way I can fix this?
So I got a ps4 controller from a friend in exchange of something he wanted. The controller he gave me was without the sticker on the back but that's not a problem for me. He already told me that the charger isn't working and even the light. So I opened up the controller and decided to replace the charging port. The controller he gave me has a JDM 040 motherboard inside and a JDS 030 charging piece. I replaced the charging port by buying a new one on amazon but it still didn't charge and the light wasn't turning on. I tried changing the orientation direction of the flex cable in all the possible combinations(I think) but still it won't work. THE CONTROLLER ITSELF WORKS PERFECTLY FINE because I also bought a new battery and tested it. But still the charging port won't work, the light isn't turning on and connecting it to the pc via the USB cable doesn't even work, because the pc doesn't even recognize that anything was connected.
What could be the problem??
I also noticed that on some post everybody says that the controller has a JDM 040 and a JDS 040 inside. Does having a JDS 030 instead of a JDS 040 contribute to the light and charger not working?
Can somebody help me find out what's wrong please? Thank you.
well, i woke up to the clc on my pc making an awful noise lastnight. i stumbled over to shut the power supply off on my pc and hit the official ps4 controller dongle with my leg and ripped the usb plug and pads off of it's circuit board. i need a wiring diagram for that usb port so that i can try to run wires and repair it but information about that device is difficult to find. can anyone help me with the info? thanks. sorry if this is the wrong subreddit to ask this question
What to do when somebody what to get rid of there personal stuff on the console what is safe to do but don’t ruin the firmware?
Question for anyone who has done work on these controllers—how feasible does this sound?
For many years I’ve been playing on a Scuf Impact (dualshock 4 with larger shell/profile).
I’m so used to it, and I can’t for the life of me get used to the dualsense controller shape and layout. This leads to problems if i want to play ps5 games.
Has anyone opened up both of these controllers, or even tried this, and seen if it would be possible to fit a dualsense board inside a Scuf Impact frame?
Assuming i were to do this, I would use the frame and the scuf back buttons’ pcb from the Impact, and I’d use the dualsense main board. *I’d have to find a way to integrate the Scuf Impact’s back paddles pcb with the dualsense face buttons *I’d have to find a way to integrate the Impact triggers and bumpers with the dualsense board *I dont care about rumbles/haptics so id just desolder and remove those.
Any tips or pointers?

Hi everyone,
Is there a solution to automatically jailbreak a PS4 on firmware 9.00 without using a USB or PC, just through the browser cache? If not, is it possible to downgrade my PS4 from firmware 9.00 to 5.0?
Thanks!
I modded my ps controller and made many changes however the controller isnt charging anymore. The controller is playable if its plugged in, however if you pull the cable out it goes off immediately. If you charge it the orange led still flashes like normal. Any idea what may be faulty? I already changed battery to be sure
I’m so mad damn 😢 this is so heart breaking
I'm currently studying a potential mod: fitting a PS4 slim inside a PS2 fat! I've already put a switch dock inside a GameCube, an Xbox one x inside an og Xbox, so the logical next step is a PS4 inside a PS2!
The constraints are as follows: keep the blue ray player, and keep the look of the PS2 as much as possible.
The motherboard of the PS4 slim seems to be able to fit inside a PS2 fat, with its heatsink, it's fan and a deflector to blow hot air out the back.
The power and eject buttons, as well as the leds of the ps2 fat can certainly be kept.
the power supply won't fit, so I'm thinking of making it external, and connecting it to the console using a PCI express type connector.
The blue ray player can be relocated to the lower part of the fat ps2. It will be necessary to create a groove to let the game pass. It will also be necessary to extend the flexible cables connecting the player to the motherboard. these seem standard, so we can mount longer ones to relocate the player.
The HDMI and USB outputs will no longer be in the right place, but I could easily relocate them using ultra-flat extension cables.
This will seem complicated or even impossible for some. I am new to the world of PS4 modding, so I would like to have your opinion: what could be problematic during this mod?
I saw someone turned a PS4 into a handheld console on youtube, and that's what inspired me! What do you think?
Wich is rhe model of the ps4 fat laser? I cant find anything
I'm just wondering if anyone has put the dualsense sticks covers in their dualshock 4 controller. Mainly because I like the dualshock 4 as a controller but I also like the dualsense thumbstick rubber and stuff. I think I remember seeing that they are similar in size but km asking if anyone here has and if it works no issues.
I was doing a shell swap for the first time for a shell of a different model, so I tried and experimented with different parts that I could interchange. To make things easier I removed the motors.
I accidentally cut one of the wires when trying to strip the tip to expose some of the wire and now it doesn't reach the solder point anymore.
I read that using the wrong guage of wire could cause issues and I want to make sure. Replacing the wire is also not a solution as I know I would break the motor in the process.
Just ordered a new controller and after about 5-7 minutes it's like the controller freezes and I can't controller anything. Led is still blue indicating it is connecting to the console, but none od the buttons will work. The issue goes away if I reset the controller (with the reset button) and reconnect it, but again, after 5 or so minutes, it stops working but the led stays lit. It does this with a wired connection and wireless. Anybody have this happen before or have a possible solution?
my ps4 controller says JDM-040 on it but i cant find a conductive film specific for the JDM-040 but i found one for JDM-050/055. So will it fit on the controller or do i not bother buying it?
thanks for your help in advance!!!
