Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a personal story about how PlayStation Home was a beacon of light during some of the darkest times in my life. Growing up, I faced severe bullying at school. I had no friends until Sophomore year and even they left me in the end and bullied me, and even the few kids I grew up with turned against me. My sister was six years older than me, so I was often home alone. My parents were divorced, and my mother worked full-time to support us, leaving me emotionally and physically alone.

In every sense of the word, I was isolated. But then, I discovered PlayStation Home. It became my escape, a place where I could connect with others and feel a sense of belonging. The virtual world offered me a spark of joy in an otherwise joyless life. I could explore, create, and interact with people who didn’t judge me for who I was, being a comic/anime fan back in 2012 was horrible people bullied me insanely hard for just liking spiderman and anime, its funny how things turn out because now its culturally accepted and praised where just 10 years ago people were hardcore bullied for liking it....

PlayStation Home gave me something to look forward to every day. It was a community where I felt accepted and valued, even if it was just in a virtual space. For that, I will forever be grateful. It helped me survive a difficult childhood and gave me the strength to keep going, Mentally I'm fractured and have had a couple of life attempts but PlayStation Home worked like super glue to keep me together even if for a little while, sure was sad to see it get shutdown and hope it comes back one day as I know there are alot of people that would love for it to.

Thank you, PlayStation Home, for being there when I needed it the most.

(Sony low key needs to bring it back, I loved the fact that you could find out about a game release from a trailer in PS Home and you knew earlier bc it wasnt shown yet I loved that.

With cutting-edge virtual reality capabilities and innovative social features, players flooded into this vibrant digital landscape where they could create their own unique avatars, design homes, and interact in sprawling virtual spaces. Upon entry, users found a stunning recreation of iconic PlayStation universes, from the lush landscapes of "Shadow of the Colossus" to the futuristic realms of "Ratchet & Clank." The relaunch was celebrated with live events featuring beloved characters, exclusive game previews, and collaborations with top developers. As friendships blossomed and communities formed, PlayStation Nexus transformed into a cultural hub, inviting gamers to not only play but to live, socialize, and create together in the limitless expanse of the virtual world.

Only thing I found is that Destination Home is a closed source group and Home Headquarters is open source to the public to freely check out without the annoying discord stuff. Do they cooperate together?

I want to give some hope to this community. We all want PlayStation Home to come back in an improved form on the PS5, and I think it's very possible that we'll see it this year or next year (in the near future, anyway) because Sony doesn't not only did he re-register the PlayStation Home brand, but he also announced that we will soon have new games with improved social features (and multiplayer in some existing games). I think these two things are pretty clear signs that PlayStation Home is coming soon on PS5!

I don’t understand the reason why they took ps home away, its has to return one day it wasn’t a failure, nor waste of time & they had a handful of daily players, myself personally i was on ps home all day everyday I would literally sit in my virtual home watching movies

I think about PsHome about once a week, I stopped playing because I didn’t had internet for 2 years and lost my ps3 within those 2 years. Apart of me wants to find my pshome friends, I had a lot of them and had a relationship (lol) I was like 14-15 now I’m 27. It’s crazy how I remember some events and I’m back there in my memories lmao. I love to see what my house/apartment looks like. My favorite spot was at the island, hub, or the club.

Hey! So a game series I really love (THE iDOLM@STER) had a now fandom iconic collab in Playstation Home that lead to the uncanny and creepy Home Haruka meme. I know there are emulations of PS Home now but I was wondering if it's possible to get the costume and content through that? I wanted to take some screenshots and reminisce on something I never got to participate in when it was out.

Well, I’m not actually new since I played PS home back in 2012-2015. However, I’m new to this thread! I heard that PS home is BACK and on ps3 and on the PC? Dumb question— I don’t know if that’s true or not, considering the activity on here and also just in general. If anyone knows, please let me know! I’m not sure if I have my ps3 anymore so I wanna play on PC if possible! I have so much stuff on there and memories and also old friends! :D
