Cuz I'm just sayin, if you felt like adding dlc to Dark Cloud 1 or 2 through mods, or even creating a game inspired by Dark Cloud, I certainly wouldn't complain. I'm sure I don't speak for myself.
I played this game when i was a kid, but never quite got the hang of it (mostly by not knowing english by the time).
So, I undestand that i should focus in only one weapon per character, right? I'm at the start of the game, what should i do with the other weapons that i have?
I know this game is alot of farming around, I don't like that but I understand it's necessery, plus I want to finish this childhood game that I never finished.
Any tips for undestanding better the upgrade system ?
Thanks!
My last playthrough, I couldn't find a single one. Now this playthrough, I'm only on the second level of Divine Beast Cave, and have found 3! Just how?!?!
Does anyone know if my homeboy Ungaga's name is based on anything or conversely if it's culturally insensitive in any way? he's my favorite character but i've always been hesitant to say that 'cause i don't know if his name is cool and chill, we all know how some game devs can be.
Hello fellow dark cloudians. In case your looking for last minute Christmas gifts, or haven't treated yourself lately, I have some inventory to move so I can get working on the next couple designs I have planned. I'll post a link down below! As always, thanks for those of you who have supported me so far.
I started a new game, but i can’t find repair powder, where can i farm or how can i get it?? Im in norune village
I'm a small streamer planning on trying out Dark Cloud for the first time soon.
I wanted to ask if there's a good collection of official art, or fan art I could use with permission, for a thumbnail and such! I've been having trouble finding things, and Dark Cloud 2 assets keep getting mixed in there too.
Any help finding cool art to represent this game would be appreciated!
New the game and currently on chapter 3, Statlight Canyon, I have the Digi Hammer and to upgrade it to Heavy Hammer according to the Wiki, I need 117 Chill (I have 97) and 99 Exorcism ( I got 3 lol) Did I mess up? Weapons cap out at level 10 so idk if I’ll be able to have enough to get all those stats.
Also, if I wait for my weapon to be leveled up more before synthesizing anything to it, will my stats increase more or is the distribution already determined upon Spectrumizing?
I’m just afraid I’ll hit a cap for either this weapon or another and not be able to progress further with it. I’m really only focusing on the hammer atm and have Cedric as my support character too.
Edit: I’m on PS5, playing the PS4 version of Dark Cloud 2. Mentioning this just in case.
Edit #2: I was wrong, Weapons can go beyond the 99 level cap. Just wanted to add this for anybody else who may read this. Thank you for all the commenters below for all the helpful info and corrections.
In Dark Cloud 1, they grouped together the inventory into designated tabs that organized your items into different categories. In Dark Cloud 2, they got rid of that system, not immediately telling you which item group the one you're using belongs to.
Do you guys actually think this is a better system?
I know people said to avoid Spheda, but it really pushed me over the edge in conjunction with the time limit metals on the first dungeon. Just made me feel like I was wasting my time over doing it over and over again hoping for RNG to be on my side. I was streaming it and it just put me into a rage and I haven't felt with a game in a long time. A game fails as a game when it makes me feel like my time is wasted, and sadly Dark Cloud 2 has done that for me. Plus the hassle it hat takes to grind up Allies gear, and it's not a fun grind either, it's very slow. I'm used to grinding but it just feels like the game intentionally wants to waste your time unless you're using Steve. I should have just got the name changed ticket and been done with it, but my viewers wanted the m9nica panther gear so thats what they got. Game just isn't fun when you have to consult a guide every 5 seconds and hope you don't miss something permanent which is bad for somebody like me who has OCD. I want to complete all I can in a single run but as I said it's not fun if you're just following a walkthrough to play a game and hope you miss nothing. I tried but i have to quit it, going back to Rune Factory 4. That game's grind is worse but it's more fun to do it.
I have completed the game and still have a spare candy that I have nothing I can do with.
I remember I think in Matataki Village Claude had wanted a candy in exchange for whatever it was. I gave him the candy. Somehow I got a second candy at some point but there is nothing I can do with it.
Does anyone have any idea how this happened, or what I could do with it? I can’t even sell it 👎
I picked up Dark Cloud 2 almost 15+ years ago at a second hand game store and it came with this Art and Information disc. Was going through my collection and thought I’d share here 🤙🏻
I think the jurak gun is unique but are there any others?, how should I upgrade these unique weapons, if at all?
It showed up in my reddit feed for some reason, I have never heard of nor shown interest in this type of game but I'm actually kinda interested. What is this
(Made with Midjourney and photoshop for fun)
When shooting the absorbed magic, does this count as "Monica's Sword" or "Monica's Magic" regarding medal objectives? Or does this count as neither and negate the attempt?
