Its completely black with electric traps that keep sending me back but I keep getting to the ring floating in the air and it says I need to find a source of light to proceed. Only fucking problem is I have no idea where to find it. Is it in the darkness? Did I miss it on another level?
I was looking at a playthrough of this game and the baby just disappeared. I want to know what happened to the baby.
I can't see how some players are getting amazingly high scores. For example, I completed the first level, on "normal", perfectly (platinum across the board, both secret encounters) with some 20x combo multipliers, and am getting 20,000,000... the high score is around 80,000,000.... how??! Is there some magical set of moves I'm missing?
Can someone explain how shadow stones work how do I use them after devouring a soul and also what happens if I give the soul as a gift instead of devouring it? I mean is that there any point in either?
This game is absolutely incredible. Been playing games since 83 and its the first time in recent memory that I have enjoyed and beat a side scroller of this type and fully enjoyed it.
I really wish these guys would have worked on the Flashback remake. They would have knocked out the park.
The exploration is really fun and I am getting wrecked on some of the harder encounters! Going to be interesting to figure out the best high score strategy (one of these days)
^ title .
Shadow of the Beast is a fond childhood memory of mine since playing it on my Dad's Atari ST in the early 90's. Something about this series (especially Roger Dean's art) has always fascinated me and I was very excited to hear that Shadow of the Beast would be getting a reboot/remake for PS4. However, after the game having numerous delays and the recent price drop, along with the beat 'em up focused gameplay trailers - I can't help my gut feeling that the game may fall short of how I hope it to turn out. I really want this game to offer just as much substance as it does in style. But, I just can't shake this feeling that I am likely to be disappointed.
Either way, I know the devs are big fans of the series and that alone gives me hope. And despite my gut feeling - I will be pre-ordering the game just to do my bit in supporting this title.
Has this been officially cancelled? I know Sony had a bunch of layoffs for first party stuff but I never heard them laying off the Shadow of the Beast devs. Show it at one E3, but the next year nothing...?
