Conversation must relate to PlayStation culture, hardware, games, or services in some way. Discussion of other brands or products is allowed only if there is a comparison or connection back to PlayStation.
Additionally, steering conversations to become overly-political or no longer in the spirit of gaming is not allowed. Appendix A1 further details and clarifies moderation of what is "overly-political" content.
Do not post unmarked spoilers or put any spoilers in a post title. Spoiler formatting is simple to use and works on most mobile devices as well.
Do not create posts or comments seeking to actively engage in piracy, hacking, jailbreaking, gamesharing, account sharing, or distribution of game images with other community members.
Solicitation of transactions of any digital or physical products, goods, services, or accounts is not allowed. This includes buying, selling, trading, contests and giveaways, and begging.
Sharing your PlayStation-themed original content (images, art, videos, etc.) is allowed, but posts strictly asking for account following or purchases of your content is not allowed.

Comments must add meaningful value to a discussion (e.g. comments such as "I really want a new PSP", "I wish this was on PS4", or reaction GIFS will be removed). Before submitting or adding a comment ask yourself: "Does this add significant information or merit to the discussion?"

If the original source is unavailable, you may link to an appropriate alternative. If a website copies or embeds content (like articles, videos, interviews, etc.) without adding substantial information, this is considered blogspam. However, if an alternative source offers meaningful analysis or commentary, it might be allowed, but prioritize linking the original source.
For sources that redirect to other sources, link to the one that provides the most context and information. For instance, if a tweet links to a developer's blog post or announcement, link directly to the blog post or announcement itself.
Use the original title from the source when possible. If the title of an article or video is unclear, overly complicated, or doesn't meet the guidelines below, you can modify it to improve clarity or remove sensationalized or editorialized language. You may also add relevant context, such as the author's name, spoilers, NSFW warnings, release dates, platforms, etc.
Avoid using editorialized or sensationalized titles – Don't include phrases like "This deserves attention" or "Why isn't this being talked about?"
Avoid inflammatory language – Titles should be civil and free from clearly inflammatory terms to keep discussions respectful.
Avoid all-caps titles – Unless the original source title contains capital letters (e.g., some Japanese video game titles). Videos with excessive caps in the title may be removed at the moderators' discretion.
Keep titles concise – If a link needs more context or details, consider creating a self-post to provide the additional information alongside the link.
Titles must be in English – This rule has no exceptions for titles (see below for articles).
For simple spoilers, use the following formatting:
**Spoiler** >!The La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo!?!<
It will look like this:
Spoiler The La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo!?
To use labeled spoilers, you can put a prefix before the word spoiler to add context like the following example:
**God of War Spoiler** >!BOY!!<
It will look like this:
God of War Spoiler BOY!
Please note that this subreddit does not have an official Sony / SIE / PlayStation presence. The subreddit consists of other community members just like yourself.

I was playing games for a couple hours then went to watch a YouTube video. Once the video started, I lost signal to my tv. Tried unplugging it, switching ports on the tv, different hdmi cables, and even a different tv and nothing works. Also tried booting in safe mode but still no luck. Is there anything I can do besides getting it repaired?
What are clash of clans like ps5 games?, what are the best games similar to civilization
My wifi router is at a different room.
Is it possible the ps5 pro could ship and arrive earlier than the release date for some people?
I can load into any game, I can invite people from the game, but nothing that has anything to do with PlayStation network doesn’t work. My social list won’t load I can’t start side apps I can’t change my online status and the only thing that seems to work is going to my router (Google fiber if it helps idk) and resetting it but it only works until I log in again, which is fine but I want to know if there is anything more permanent. I’ve tried clearing my cache, a new lan cable, hard resetting my PlayStation and a couple other things.
i what to buy the f1 Champions Edition because it is on sale but the button is missing cant even get a ea trial.

I bought a ps5 slim and an alienware monitor...I hope I made a good purchase!
Hey there, having a dilemma I want input on. I'm buying a Ps5 on offerup for $500 (worth it?) from a guy who's just not able to game anymore. I checked out the console and logged in with no issue. He's willing to give me access so I can play his 20+ digital games, and I don't understand the logistics of it. Ig I'd make an account as part of his "family" at that point? Is there anything else I should confirm/check with him?
He is also willing to help with whatever is needed.
Any help would be great! Thanks!
Okay I turned on my ps4 and Whenever I press the button it doesn't beeb anyone know how to fix it or is it nothing
Hi,
I bought the Astro Bot game (DVD version) at Costco about a month ago, installed in on my PS5 and played the game. Today, my sister used my PS5 and I got a charge for a purchase of Astro Bot (digital version). How is it possible that she was able to purchase (by mistake, she didn't try to buy it again) the exact same game digitally when it was already installed and downloaded?
I tried reaching out to Playstation support to get a refund for a game purchased twice, but they told me that they can't offer a refund since the game has been downloaded. The thing is, the game was downloaded a month ago, before it was purchased by mistake digitally today. I tried explaining the situation to the agent, but they told me that because of their refund policy, they couldn't refund because the game had been downloaded. (Not at all the agent's fault btw!)
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way to get a refund when this happens? Is there anyone else I can contact with this?
Thanks,
Decided to finally switch back to console. Getting PS5 pro next week and am looking for recommendations. I renewed my psn subscription early because I wanted the October games and figured it was a killer deal. Diving through the other games available for psn a bunch have captured my eye. So what should be my first. For context iv basically played madden, multiplayer shooters, and mobile games for the last few years and am seriously looking forward to getting back into single player story games. Would prefer my first game not be insanely long, because there are plenty I want to play. So 20ish hours or shorter. List of games I am choosing from below with some context. Also have never played any. So what should it be?
Deathloop - very cool premise, but maybe not as he most graphically impressive for my first game.
Resident evil 2,3,4 - whenever I play these it will be in order.
Ghosts of T - video game podcast I listen to (Gamescoop) have been raving about this game for years.
Control
Returnal
Death stranding
Ratchet & Clank/Sackboy will be playing these right away with kiddo
Spider-Man miles morales - loved the first one on ps4. Big marvel guy.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Last of us part 1 - loved the show
Dead space - loved the original
Alan wake - classic game that I have never played
It’s just a catalog. It’s included in the premium version of ps plus. PlayStation says that one can get access to “groundbreaking” titles that launched iconic franchises and “revolutionized” gaming.
Oh come on, it’s just marketing speak. These games didn’t do anything. They are just games like any other game.
I cleaned my ps5 today. Didn’t have any issue just wanted to do a clean up since recently call of duty black ops 6 released and I’ve heard of people consoles overheating due to it. After cleaning it I plugged it back in and started to play when suddenly my console turned off and the back of it was warm. Near the power supply was hot along with the hdmi cable being hot too. Anyone have any potential ideas? My console doesn’t warm me it’s getting hot it just turns off
My mother is into gaming but has gone through all the games she enjoys. She doesn't like skyrim and forbidden dawn. She does like Spiro, Mario games, Crash games, hogwarts legacy, avatar frontiers of pandora, and lego games. She has played all the leggo games available and I'm trying to help her find something she might enjoy. Any susuggestions would be apappreciated, thank you.
not too long ago i made a post asking for a fix about a completely dead controller. i’ve tried everything to turn it back on, and i’ve just gave up. but today i bought a new ps5 controller and i’m trying to connect it but it just won’t, it flashes and then turns off. i’ve gone in safe mode, connected it with the ps5 cable that came in the box, nothing. i’ve done it just from starting up the console and it tells me to turn on the ps button and nothing. i’ve tried flipping the cord over, swapping which end goes into which hole and it just won’t work.
It's now live just pop the disc in and search for the game
This is now the only version of Horizon Zero Dawn I'm playing. I will never go back to the PS4 version. This just takes an already good game and makes it better to match the quality of Horizon Forbidden West. More importantly, the faces look more alive, the two-person conversations are more lifelike instead of looking like a pair of mannequins, but it is the environment around Aloy that is the star of the show. Every single area of the game has been given a massive upgrade and it shows. All for 10 DOLLARS if you already have the original.
Been glued to SH2 Remake. It's SO good!!
Aye so i got both gta 5 ps4 and ps5 versions downloaded, and modern warfare 3. Do i have space to get BO6?
I’m 25 male Ohio. I’m married so I’m not going to creep on anyone. I play sea of thieves fortnite madden and cfb25. Looking for anyone to play with thanks
Just copped a new controller because my last one had stick drift. It feels completely different I’m usually a 2.5 kd player but this controller is making me 1Kd every game. Any ideas on how to fix the stiffness or do I just have to deal with ?
I know spiderman 2 was made to "take advantage of the features of the ps5" but seeing how JS was able to down grade It to take It to old gen console ( the download on ps5 Is 150G and on ps4 its 50G) couldnt spiderman 2 do the same?
Which do I buy!? Interested in both. Happy Halloween!
