It was going really well until lives started dropping in a single level. I started thinking pipes were connected differently and made some pretty stupid mistakes. Looking forward to reaching level 50.
Hi,
I found VBjin-svn61 is the last version downloadable from the emulator's archived Google Code website, but many unofficial sites offer VBjin-r103 or 'SVN 103'.
Does anyone know what the story is here, and which one is most recent or preferred?
I know about VBJin-OVR for the Oculus Rift, and that Mednafen uses the same (but probably newer) core, but I am looking for VBjin.
Thanks!
Losing lives is always a stupid mistake by myself. The key so far is to not be overconfident with stomping turts.
I have been waiting to get my hands on this console since I was 10 years old.
I recently bought the Virtual boy on ebay and it was delayed so this arrived first. I'm really looking forward to playing it, I have wanted a Virtual boy since I was 10 but hadn't pulled the trigger on buying one till now.
Completely sold out of my last batch, seems to have been popular enough that I've decided to do another run.
Pre-orders are up, link below, pre-orders close October 31st at 11:59pm EDT. Only $15 + shipping. These will begin shipping mid-November.

In case you're wondering, this is a USB-C Power Delivery Module that slides into the back of the Virtual Boy controller to power the console. Say goodbye to the swapping out batteries and the expensive AC Tap.
You will need an AC adapter that supports a 9 Volt output as well as a data transfer USB-C cable, these are both linked in the description of the listing on my website.
This is the only Nintendo console I’m Missing from the collection. Now I officially hage one of each home console!
I’m picking up a virtual boy sometime this week and it even comes with 4 games but I really want to play some other ones like Jack bros but I don’t have a grand to throw away lmao. I saw other threads with the same question but I wanted to ask again anyway in case anything has changed and there’s new answers since then. Anything helps for a new member of this amazing community!!
All lives were lost in level 28. All avoidable mistakes.
I was watching a stream of someone using a Virtual Boy controller on an emulator, I asked how he connected it and he said he customly bought a USB adapter. Is there anywhere I can buy this adapter or anyone able to customly make one?
If you're like me and enjoying Virtual Boy games on the convienance of a (modded) 3DS, great!
If you would like to take screenshots of the action and your achievements, well Luma (a major mod menu/firmware) that runs Red Viper (the good Virtual Boy emulator) can take screenshots already:
Press L + D-pad Down + Select at the same time and it will save the left & right images and the touchscreen image as separate BMP files, found in a "Screenshots" folder in the "Luma" folder on the root level of the 3DS. You can physically move the MicroSD card from 3DS to computer, or use a FTP program to transfer it over WiFi.
That's fine if you want 2D images, but what if you want a 3D screenshot you can view on the 3DS screen? For that, you need to convert the two upper-screen images into a single MPO image file? I found this program works (not perfectly, but well enough). You open the left/right images together, adjust the depth if you want to, then save it as an MPO file. The next step is to copy the MPO image into the 3DS's DCIM folder, where all the photos taken are stored. Put the image files in the most-recient folder inside the DCIM folder, but rename them so that they are the next sequential number.
Once that's done, go to the camera program on the 3DS, go to the View Photos/Videos tab, and then you may have to wait while it recognizes the new pictures and adds them to the grid of photo album pictures.

Tronimal - Robonaut, Nintendo Virtual Boy music album on Cartridge and CD, only via Kickstarter. Thanks a lot for your support! <3
Last time I posted I got to level 10. Level 17 is my new pb. Dare I say I’m getting somewhat of a handle on the controls? No emulation here; real hardware.
Ever played Tetris in 3D? V-Tetris for the Nintendo Virtual Boy was a groundbreaking game that brought a new dimension to the classic puzzle game. With its unique stereoscopic display, V-Tetris offered a truly immersive experience that set it apart from other Tetris games. The 3D effect added depth and made it even more satisfying to clear lines. Here are some interesting facts about V-Tetris:
It was one of the launch titles for the Nintendo Virtual Boy in 1995.
It features three game modes: Mode A (endless play), Mode B (clear a set number of lines), and Mode C (wide game field with scrolling).
V-Tetris was praised for its innovative use of 3D technology and addictive gameplay.
Have you played V-Tetris? What are your thoughts on the game?

Thank you so much for all your help and support. Maybe we can even reach the stretch goal.
I didn’t remember the price range of the VB games. Since so few came out I thought they all were about the same, at least initially.
Back in 2000 I picked up 4 or 5 of those licensed-but-third-party AC adapters from a TrU for ~$3 each.

Tronimal - Robonaut, Nintendo Virtual Boy music album on Cartridge and CD will hopefully come true. Your support can make this happen. <3
Made it to level 10, been thinking about trying for more lately.
The games came a few years later. Paid like $3 to $4 a piece for them. I just finished soldering the LCD ribbon cable. Haven't played this thing in 15 years. The box is in near perfect condition. The eye shroud looks brand new. I went I to a retro game store and saw the crazy prices for VB games and pulled it out of storage.
