I think a rapper would be really funny, and his name would be "Kalumnious R.O.O.L."
I was one of the backers for the first Yooka-Laylee on Kickstarter, and honestly, I was disappointed. So when Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair came out, I didn’t pay it any attention. But this week, I finally gave it a try, and wow—I almost missed out on a hidden gem.
Think of it as a spiritual sequel, blending elements from Donkey Kong Country 3 and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, with a je ne sais quoi of Giana Sisters, while still having a unique identity of its own. The gameplay is incredibly smooth, with responsive controls and a well-balanced difficulty that’s never frustrating. There’s a bit of screen clutter, but it’s entirely manageable. The overworld map has some light yet enjoyable puzzles, and the level design is surprisingly well-crafted.
In short, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is an outstanding surprise that absolutely deserves a look.
Was it a right decision i was unsure between both and went with country returns coop with my brother, we are loving it so far but i heard tropical freeze is waaaay better.... If i'm enjoying returns that much i wonder how great tropical freeze should be
MY favorite part of the app is that you cam EXTEND The song to 5 minutes to 2 HOURS. I'm listening to all DKC games plus Yoshi island!
I hope everybody has a good day, trick-or-treating or not!
back in the day, i was playing on the original release of dkc on the nes, and found a really interesting glitch, on the first chapter area, if you walk into the cave cave transition right after the reptile rumble level, by spamming movement keys; and maybe pressing buttons, while your character is moving through the cave transition , you might teleported to either the next map, or the top of the mountain, i dont remember which as this was over 10 years ago, but if anyone is looking for a speed running glitch, this is a good one, this could save over 10 or more minutes, which could lead to a new record, if anyone else knew about this, i would like to know.
What do you think?
One of the most obscure Donkey Kong games, so I thought it was appropriate for the season.
I don't know why but I am fascinated by the unused content in Donkey Kong 64. The game itself I loved a lot more when I was 12. Now? I think the bosses are awesome but I don't think I would ever bother to finish the whole game. Why do I like the unused content? I have no idea. I am just... interested in it. Anyone else think the same way?
