Not hating on anyone who still enjoys the game, it's a classic and I have nostalgia for it from when I was a kid. But oh man, going back to play MK64 after years of the DS, Wii, and especially Switch editions, the game is reallyyyyyy boring. The courses are super bland compared to any newer game in the series, and I don't really enjoy playing it at this point outside of the occasional game of Balloon Battle.
I've just found a Maro golf cartridge whilst sorting stuff out. I got rid of my N64 a couple of years back so it is no use to me, but I don't want it to just get binned, so if any UK redditors want it, I will post it to them free of charge. It isn't boxed and has been lying around, so I've no idea if it even works, but if you want it, and you are in the UK, just message me.
I came across this auction on Storage Treasures. It has some valuable sealed games and other collectibles. Does anyone have experience buying video games on auction sites like Storage Treasures or Lockerfox? Thank you.

Hey y’all,
I’m looking to get a few more games for my collection and I’d like to focus on fun games that maybe don’t hold up well under emulation, or maybe aren’t available on Wii VC (I have a Softmod Wii so I’m looking for B-grade / 3rd party games, not classics like Starfox 64, Super Mario 64, Majora’s Mask, etc) Any recommendations?
Current collection:
Mario Kart 64
Ocarina of Time
Perfect Dark
Goldeneye 007
Pokémon Snap
Mario Tennis
Star Wars Rogue Squadron
Super Smash Bros
Banjo Kazooie
Pokémon Stadium 2
Thanks!
I have the single n64 dongle from retroscaler and I'm trying to update the firmware but don't want to brick it. I can only find the 4 controller firmware anywhere. Do I just use that? (Using retroscalers official release)
Hi, I am a teenager and have really wanting to get into retro gaming. On my birthday a few weeks ago that dream came true. But I am not able to plug it into my tv, I even have a av on it. I even got a av adapter and tried it on a different tv, it still didn’t work. See my n64 turns on like I can see it turns red when I plug it and turn it on. Should I just get a crt tv? Is the tv the problem or is it the Nintendo 64. I know the n64 is working cus it turns on. I just need help.
Hello, I would like to buy a 4-in-1 cartridge for Nintendo 64 (Yoshi Story + Super Mario 64 + Super Smash Bros + Mario Kart 64).
Also, does anyone here know about this type of cartridge, and can you tell me if it's possible to save progress in the games and if any of the games have bugs when using this type of multi-game cartridgeThank you in advance for your feedback.

I used hypekin cable av to HDMI It looks very bright and blinding and bleeds over other colors
No matter what game I play, audio is usually low and scratchy. Music sometimes sounds fine, but SFX are HORRIBLE. I’ve tried two different cables (the ones that came with the N64 I just got and my GameCube cables which I’ve confirmed work just fine on that system) and two different TVs. This is a Japanese N64, but it has the cartridge slot mod that allows me to play games from any region. Here I play SM64 (Japanese) but I also have Smash Bros and Namco Museum (both American) and they all sound bad. What could I try and do?
The Elmo game I have nostalgia for so I picked it up. lol
Hey there! Trying to play my copy of Diddy Kong Racing and can’t seem to get it to start. I’ve taken IPA to the contacts, and tested my console with other games. Console works fine and game didn’t boot up. Any suggestions?
I never do anything in half-measures, for better or worse. I tried taking a limited approach to begin with, where I’d only buy the most important games and stick to loose cartridges only. Well… that quickly wasn’t good enough, and so began the descent into madness that is boxed N64 game collecting.
I haven’t thought of a way to properly organize it yet, so it could do with some better arranging. I tried building it based on stuff I had as a kid plus what I missed out on and want to play now. I have a mint-in-box launch N64, my “daily driver” with an expansion pak, and a mint condition Watermelon console.
(I’m not rich, I just had a lot of other stuff I didn’t want that I was able to sell fairly easily, and rolled that money into making this collection. I was also able to get some really good deals on volume, which kept costs down.)
What are some n64 games in your collection that has bad controls other than Superman 64? For me, its Turok: Dinosaur Hunter
I tried the wet my thumb technique and basically rubbed the old dirty label off, extremely pleased with the results!!! Thank you to everyone for their suggestions in the last post!!!
stopped by the local antique mall and saw these. $25 for Starfox (I feel I overpaid) $8 for JetForce I feel alright overall about my purchases. #journeyto296
