Which interactive multi-game demo disk version is May 2001?

I'm doing some research on the demo disks for GameCube kiosks but I'm having so much trouble trying to find one from this specific month and the earliest one I can find is V1 which was released in October, according to Dolphin's page here.

So I'm wondering if there's another way of searching for the May 2001 kiosk disk? Are there specific search terms that will help with this? I'm after one with playable games for the GameCube, not the PC preview version. Any ideas?

Also, a very dumb question, can these same demo disks play on any gamecube console, or only on debug versions?

Bizarre idea but......

Basically the film's premise really reminds me of the life sim games Nintendo was making during the GameCube era. Particularly Chibi-Robo and Doshin The Giant. So I took the book cover, put it through IbisPaint and wham, I created a time paradox.

I have Swiss, I have an HDMI Mod, but none of the "widescreen" buttons make it 16:9. I know what anamorphic widescreen is. I was told Swiss can do 16:9 - is that not true?

Question is in the title.

Controller score

Picked up this funky little wireless controller on eBay for about $20. Buttons are super responsive and controller seems barely used. I'm not typically one for 3rd party controllers, but this one is really solid The brand is dream gear, does anyone know anything about the company? My cat liked it as well haha

Floppy drive and Swiss

So I just installed my Flippydrive in my Spice Orange GC I picked up in Japan last year. I picked it up solely to install a Flippydrive in it. The installation was the one of the easiest processes when it comes to Retro mods.

My question is how do I start Swiss with it?

When I first started the GC after installling it it went through an update process and I saw where it was doing something with Swiss. I just can’t seem to find documentation on how to get to Swiss without installing the files on the SD card and starting it that way.

Got myself a gamecube a few weeks back!

Finally came around to buying one after I started collecting games, I bought animal crossing with it and i’ve been playing a hell of a lot of that, I also got SA2B for like 20 bucks at a garage sale, hell of a deal there. Genuinely some of the most fun ive had playing games in forever!

Ordered a Flippy Drive

Got the order put in today... Trying not to get too excited about it because it won't ship until April. (But I am pretty excited)

Did go go! Hypergrind release outside of the USA?

For context, I was born in and I live in the UK, and every time I look for this game on eBay I notice that it's only American copies of the game, was it never released in the UK? Or is it somehow even rarer to find pal copies of the game then American ones?

Custom pico 😎 Uv printed by me

I wanted to try and see if this worked and it does! I wasn’t sure if the ink would cause any shorts but I tested with my multimeter and everything works great and no bridging

Zelda: Collector's Edition being wonky

DISCLAIMER: This post involves me trying to play a GameCube game on my Wii. The reason it's here is because it's a GameCube game and r/wii doesn't allow help posts. :(

So, I own a Zelda: Collector's Edition GameCube disc -- the one with Zelda I, Zelda II, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, the retrospective movie, and the 20 min Windwaker Demo.

I tried booting up Zelda II, and my Wii keeps crashing and going back to the Wii Menu whenever I try to open it. The weird part is, this happened several months (close to a year) ago, but just worked yesterday. Also, all the other games on the disc work, as well as all my other (non-damaged) GameCube discs.

I'm not quiet sure what could be causing the issue considering it was working perfectly yesterday. Given it isn't the Wii or the disc, any troubleshooting advice would be hugely appreciated.

Any difference playing on Emulators?

With how expensive and rare GC games are, I feel like I have no other option.

20 years later I have a Gamecube again.

First thing I did was change the region. Might add a switch to change regions later but I don’t really have a need to play JP games. I was playing GC games mostly on the Wii but I really wanted the Gameboy Player attachment.

Y button on GC controller has to be pushed all the way down to register an input

Does anyone knows how to fix this, or at least, what may cause this? Super annoying. And while I may not want to open up my GC controller just yet, I'd at least like to know what may cause a button to have this problem. Thanks in advance!

Which contact pads should I buy to refurbish my gamecube controllers?

Many of my gamecube controllers are original to when I bought them and the contsct pads have worn out. The buttons are no longer snapper, which isn't good for sweaty games of Mario strikers
