I'm pumped about our pitching

Was thinking and imagining our Potential pitching staff as a whole. On paper it's lethal. The only 3 who won't ever go to the bullpen is Eovaldi, degrom, and max. You can rotate the rest in or out.

That's 14 and we probably can't have more than 13 right. But I'm assuming someone will get injured at some point. If not, are we trading someone? Or just making it work? Anyways, this list has best pitching staff in baseball potential

Trade deadline

Probably a bit early to know who is going to be available, but any moves out there that would get you excited? Alonso, guerrero, robert jr.? I'm not sure anything would make any sense if guys keeping getting healthy, seems like we are destined to be quiet at the deadline this year but its fun to dream. What would be palatable for these guys if made available? Gotta imagine if we made a move of this nature (which I doubt) guys like leody, Duran, lowe, leiter, teodo, foscue would all be persons of interest, among others

About Josh Smith...

The Rangers need to start advertising for Josh Smith, because right now he is the leader in bWAR, OPS, BA for the Rangers. He is also the bWAR leader in all of the American League for players whose primary position is 3rd base. Josh Smith is the most deserving to be a Rangers All-Star. We need to at least give him more publicity and recognition. Garcia in 2021 was getting ads and recognition league wide, while Josh Smith is the shining spot of our lineup. We need to put Josh Smith out there and start hyping him up.

Lineup thoughts

Fully healthy how would y'all like the lineup to look like? I'm hoping we trade taveras because I don't think Bochy benches him otherwise. This is what I'm thinking:

  1. Semien 2B
  2. Seager SS
  3. Jung 3B
  4. Adolis RF
  5. Wyatt 🥰🥰🥰 LF
  6. Pookie DH
  7. Carter CF
  8. Lowe 1B
  9. Heim C

I don't love Smith DH'ing but it's either that or him in the outfield. I would be open to trading Lowe. And I believe Adolis will have stuff figured out by the second half

Words of Optimism

Obviously the rangers are in a pretty bad rut right now, but I'm not too concerned. There is still reasons to be positive.

  1. Josh Jung is coming back and he is going to instantly make a difference

  2. We should have ten starters healthy by August, which is an automatic boost to the bullpen and the the team overall

  3. Wyatt Langford is on the team

  4. We just won the World Series

A lot of people here are forgetting #4. If they want to take this year as a development year, and be healthy going into next that's fine with me. However I think if we can just get into the playoffs, anything can happen, and that is a very realistic outcome. Don't lose faith just because of a rough stretch where everyone is injured

Affordable seats

Does anyone have recommendations ons on how to see a Ranger game on a budget? With everyone home for the summer I’m looking to take 9 of us to a Ranger Game in Arlington Tx. Honestly It is so expensive. Even the upper deck seats. Spending over $1,000 is hard on us because of so many other things we need. Ugh!

Community Night Info Please

Hey everyone, I was hoping someone here could give me some insight on the community night situation. The reason I’m asking is because I’m on crutches with kids in tow and I’d like to make it as simple as possible. What’s the best entrance and where do we lineup for the community night I tried searching and looked at my tickets, but they seem to be different every time. Starting rotation has mostly been good - How would you order it when everyone is healthy?

When Jacob deGrom, Max Scherzer, and Cody Bradford all come back from the IL, how do you order them during the key stretch run? We may be chasing the Mariners, but we face them seven times in September, so all the guys can play a key part in reaching the playoffs.

Since health is such a factor, I would stretch out to a six-man rotation.

  1. Jacob deGrom
  2. Nathan Eovaldi (currently 3-2, 2.68 ERA, 1.6 WAR)
  3. Cody Bradford (currently 3-0, 1.40 ERA, 0.8 WAR) - the only lefty
  4. Jon Gray (currently 2-2, 2.17 ERA, 1.8 WAR)
  5. Max Scherzer
  6. Michael Lorenzen (currently 4-3, 2.86 ERA, 1.5 WAR)

Obviously, if we make the playoffs, it will tighten down to whoever is pitching the best, but I think the priority should be to stretch everybody out and keep them healthy through August & September.

I'm curious what y'all think. Guys have been having career years so far, and they have largely kept us afloat. I would hate to drop one of these key contributors until we absolutely have to -- either because of struggles, or needing bullpen long relief. Who do you see continuing their success on the mound, to become staples of the final rotation?
