The headline is clickbait, but Barry is actually spot on

If the time wasn’t right for the Nationals to spend, when will it be?

This is a positive sign for our roster depth

In past years, we'd be grabbing guys like La Sorsa. The fact we are releasing them now is a good sign of progress now that we have several lefty options for the pen. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/01/nationals-place-joe-la-sorsa-on-release-waivers.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=bluesky

Does anyone recognize the bottom autograph (in blue)?

I got this card signed by a couple players after a game last year. I know the top one is Juan Yepez, but I have no clue who the second one is or what the number might be. Any ideas?

Bananas Parking in June?

Does anyone know how parking works for these games? The team doesn’t control it and I didn’t see any option to buy parking? What did they do last year?

2025 Pitching Success Plan

How about this pitching plan for 2025? No starter faces the 3rd time through the batting order. Would preserve young arms for long season, and hopefully playoffs. Would keep ERA down and encourage development of young staff. Trevor Williams and others have shown this can work. Not a 'relievers game' but just never let an opposing team have the chance to face a starter for a 3rd time. What do you think of this approach?

What is y'all's dream broadcasting booth?

With Bob Carpenter ascending into Nationals Heaven after 2025, there is a massive, probably unfillable hole in the nats' TV broadcasting booth. So who would you choose to fill it (within reason)? Me personally, I'd drop Franny and get Dan Kolko and Dave Jageler from 106.7 the fan and get a rotating crew of nats players for color - Ian Desmond, Zim, Jayson Werth, etc. (these examples are cherry-picked from players who were in the booth in 2024).

Bananaball Shenanigans

So tickets to the Savannah Bananas games go on sale today (at least for Nats STHs who signed up for the presale), supposedly at 930am. I went ahead and clicked the link 10 minutes early to get in the queue, and it let me purchase my tickets immediately. So those of you waiting for 930 like they said, if they're sold out when you log in, that's why.

Spring Training Hotel Advice

We have tix already for mid March. In reviewing other posts, I've gotten some good tips. But I haven't come across alot of info in regards to the best area and hotel to stay.

  1. We'll prob stay in the general vicinity of the ballpark for 3- 4 days. We have tix for 2 games, and will beach / explore 1-2 days before heading to Orlando and other spots.
  2. Would prefer to be in the $160 range or lower, but I realize hotels at the beach poke people in the eye.
  3. Doesn't need to be beachfront, I'm fine with driving to beach.
  4. Really don't want to drive more than about 30 mins to game and/or beach.
  5. I've heard there's some sketchy areas around this area, trying to not stay in one.

Appreciate any feedback!

I have him on my dynasty team. Started off well last year but felt like he was meh. What did y’all see watching him once every 5 days?

Is it possible to have too much Natitude?

I became a Nationals fan last year, and honestly it made me a different person. Well, not so much a different person as it may have awakened something that was always just under the surface. I don't believe that Natitude is something you can gain later in life; you're born with it, and I simply didn't know it was there until I went to a game. Now, whenever I wear my Nationals hat, I have an extreme personality shift, as if that W on my head is an antenna for all the Natitude in the solar system to beam into, and I just lose control.

My wife is getting fed up with this, and I think she may have hit her breaking point the other day. I got a notification on my phone that the Nats had signed Shinnosuke Ogasawara, and I ripped my shirt off, shotgunned a Fresca and started doing push ups while screaming "Ignite your Natitude!" I guess she's upset because she thinks I shouldn't have even had my phone on in our marriage counselor's office, but I think this is just an overreaction. She's talking about taking the kids and staying at her sister's house. Not too bummed about that, since neither of them seems to have much Natitude either.

Anyway, just wanted to know what the people here think. Do I have too much Natitude? Is that even possible? Was I stupid to take out a second mortgage to bet on Jacob Young for MVP? Am I a furry for being sexually attracted to Screech? Or is my wife just closed-minded?
