While trying to clear out some (very) old papers the other day I came across a few photos and other items from Ranger games back in the mid/late-80s. The scoreboard lineup came from early summer of 1988, Jose Guzman was the starter for Texas and I'll list the lineup below, along with a link to the box score. (Spoiler alert: Texas got beaten badly, but I was young and having a great time in the outfield cheap seats, so I didn't care.)
The menu I appropriated from Bobby Valentine's restaurant that was near the stadium, from somewhere around that same time period. The nachos were my go-to, and they look like a real bargain today.
The last photo is of a very young Mitch Williams at a pregame autograph table in early season of 1986 or 1987. Most likely 1986. I notice he is signing right-handed.
Oakland Athletics 13, Texas Rangers 4 - June 11, 1988

Anyone know of a YouTube video or podcast episode or anything like that which gives an overview of the 2024 season?

The Athletic has Sebastian Walcott as the #2 prospect. “I think he’s underrated already, and he’s my pick to be the No. 1 prospect a year from now.”
Future looking good
cool
I emailed V+ tech support and they confirmed 5 devices at a time can stream the games simultaneously (per household). Not sure if anyone else had this information, but couldn't find it on a cursory Google search. Hope this helps!
Sorry, had to repost to clean up the screenshot.
I can’t stand the dodgers anymore. I don’t think they should be able to defer that much money. And now losing Yates to them just really frustrates me further. What closer can the Rangers look to pick up or bring up since the deal with Yates seems to be finalizing?

There's a bit of talk about the Yankees roster after they first bring up the Rangers, but they basically hype up our roster (specifically Langford, Carter, and Rocker) and briefly touch on rotation depth as our main weakness before getting back on track to Red Sox front office talk.
Unfortunately, for the sake of projections, most analytical models and sportsbooks haven't published projections/lines for team season win totals yet. Every power ranking or article I've seen is based on last year's record and offseason hype, so it's very difficult to see what outside media and fans are expecting from the Rangers beyond, "well, they weren't any good last year." It's good to get out of our bubble every once in a while, so it's cool to see outside fans with a lot of respect for our team.
I’m moving offices and the new office doesn’t have a spot for these seats from the old Ballpark. Free to anyone in San Antonio who wants them. Just gotta be able to pick them up. First come first serve.
I thought it was funny that rather than being empty there is a pair of shades there
Has anyone been to the Rangers awards banquet? I was gifted some tickets and wasn’t sure what the attire was or what to wear? I’m taking my wife as well so if you have an idea what to wear, hook me up.
Thanks
