Please keep in mind that there is no such thing as a perfect list. This ranking is simply my opinion based on my experiences. This video took 7 years to make so it would be very much appreciated if you could give it a watch!
We’re second correct? Colorado has the 1st and Chicago is drafting 10/11?
Wow.
If you were to pick between these seats, where would you sit?
Section 27, Row L
Or Section 5, Row 19
Prior to the break, Marlins went 33-63 for a win. percentage of .343. Second half Marlins went 29-37 playing .439. a whopping 28% increase in winning percentage.
Bearing in mind the second "half" is actually 66 of 162 games, it represents 66/162 or 38% of the season. During this time the Marlins ran an active ANNUAL payroll of approximately 11.5 million. (active payroll fluctuated during the second half from 13.5 to $10.5 million.) 38% of the annual active payroll number of 11.5 million is $4.37 million.
We do have an interesting team next year. Sure, they won't make it into the postseason but it might be a fun watch.
Sandy, Luzardo, Eury, Weathers, Braxton coming back next year. Luzardo I think will be traded at the deadline not before since his value has kind of tanked. Eury will be back after the all star break. Excited to see what a full season of Weathers can look like and hopeful for a Braxton come back. If any of them go down Mazur, Snelling, and Velloso are not bad options.
As for the hitting side, I kinda dig a 1-4 of Xavier, Norby, Burger, and Sanchez. They did surprisingly well during the second half even with Norby's and Xavier's slow down during the last 2 week of September. Bride will be an interesting player to follow. Probably a utility player but he is good.
Otto Lopez was worth 2.6 war this year. Not bad. That is a solid starter right there at second. Good find by Bendix. Same with Bride.
Augustin Ramirez, Serna, and De los Santos might make their debuts. I do have my concern with De los Santos but it should be fun to see them play.
Most of all, watching Sandy again.
I think 75 wins might be feasible for this team.
With Bruce Sherman's net worth being around $500 million, it's safe to say we probably won't see this organization spend much in free agency. So my question is: What should I be hopeful for? Are there any promising bats in the minors? Any good arms? Or is the outlook pretty bleak? I pretty much clocked out after the Arreaz trade and fully clocked out after the Jazz trade besides the occasionally highlights, I will never be able root for another team so I just want to know what I am in store. (I am assuming the same old same old from my whole life)
Who are we rooting against less in this game? Both have obnoxious fans in our park.
I don’t care for either of these announcers
2025 questions considering what I liked last 2 months.
Today (Sunday), at least 12 or so Marlins players signed autographs and took pictures with fans before the game, even right up to the national anthems. At the same time, despite it being the last game of the season, letting fans in two hours early, and heavily promoting it as “Fan Appreciation Weekend”, not a single Jays player signed. After today, I’ll always have a soft spot for the Marlins. Wishing you guys the best of luck next year!
Can’t think of a better way to cap it off
