It's 100% a LOOOOOONGGGG shot we're even considered in the race, but still.
Sorry to rehash this, but I’m sure most all of us thought we tied the series at 2-2 seeing Noel crush the ball into left field in the bottom of the 7th.
Was wind blowing in from left field? That would have put us up by 2 with all the momentum in the series.
Know it would have been tough to beat the Dodgers but I know we could have beaten the Yankees. Tough when our bullpen was gassed going into the ALCS and our fielding ended up being the worst it had been all season in the ALCS.
Let me start off I don’t live in Cleveland but Indians always been part of my childhood since the early 00’s everything about this team have a special meaning to me a few days ago I wanna to wear my Chief Wahoo fitted but I didn’t wanna be the type to defend anyone evening I don’t think personally the logo ain’t bad I guess it just me getting older I just keep the old Indians stuffs in my closet I have one guardian fitted thoughts
Do you think he gets an invite to the club for ST? Or does he chill in Eastlake for a smidge longer?

I don’t know enough about our FO or history of spending, I don’t want to be cynical but also don’t want to be naive/ hopeful. But when I think about how much we should have:
-We haven’t spent much the last few years should mean we have some saved up
-The last 2 seasons we have had that silly Marathon patch, which should mean some extra spending.
-2024 season was a great season that broke attendance records since 2008, we unveiled 🔥 city connect jerseys, we made it to ALCS. All should give us a few extra bucks
-Tito was the highest paid Manager we don’t pay him anymore.
There’s probably more to consider but those were on the top of my head.
I don’t think we need much to run it back, I believe in this team. We showed so much improvement we have more power while still able to load the bases and play guards ball.
But baseball is baseball injuries are common and we should try to get to the playoffs without being dependent on our bullpen. Which means improve our starting pitching. At the minimum I expect resigning Boyd and Bieber (I know he won’t play till late in the season but that could prove to be in our favor as a nice surprise Ace up our sleeves). It could also mean add some more power in our lineup and or continue to perfect our bullpen depth.
I do kinda expect something big! They should work with Vogt to get him what he wants. They should see that the Tigers and Royals are going to be trying to do big moves.
Is there a chance we go and sign Roki sasaki he would be cheap because his max is 8 million because of international pool money. We could sign him for a 3 year deal some people are saying he is better than Yamamoto who we just saw dominate the post season.
I was discussing with my wife the other day about how I would handle a championship. That got me thinking that my emotions would probably be different between each team. To be fair I only have 2 diehard favorite professional sports teams (Browns and Guards). I've never been a NBA fan and CBJ just aren't "diehard" yet for me. My fanhood began in the late 80's so I've seen a good chunk of heartbreak and joy.
How would you react to YOUR favorite teams?
The off-season is upon us. Discussion threads will move to weekly. Shitpost rules are relaxed in the off-season but screenshots and text posts that could be comments in this thread will still be steered to this weekly thread.

It still doesn't feel real.
The most dominant pitcher I've ever seen wear a Cleveland uniform. One of the most dominant reliever seasons ever seen.
And it ends like that.
He's only human. But so many nights at the ballpark I've seen him be anything but.
In 2022 he was fantastic. In 23, vulnerable but mostly good. In 24 he was sensational. And it's hard to imagine it can get any better.
But will it? Has he peaked?
What does he need to do to remain elite? And what happened to let it go so wrong when we needed him most?
Why we might have a chance at Goldschmidt:
He is a Free Agent coming off a bad year.
Josh Naylor is set to make 14 million in arbitration in 2025 which he isn't worth.
We made it to the ALCS (He wants to be on a playoff team), Cleveland rules, and Go Cavs!
How could it happen you say?
Goldschmidt sits longer in free agency because of his bad season last year, and just less money in the league. Fangraphs says he is worth about 26m. MAYBE that is too rich for most teams and that number falls to 18m or so.
Naylor can be good, but he has run out of gas for two seasons straight at the end of the season. So, I propose we trade him for some SP pitching. We might get an ok haul for him. We might be able to the Yankees or even the Cards. Who knows. My dream is Luis Gil.
Goldschmidt would only sign for a one-year or two-year deal for 18m a year. I feel we could swing that because our window is closing in the Central.
Anyway, what do you guys think? Totally crazy? Would you even want him? Honestly, he will probably go to the Yankees but a man can dream. Thanks for reading and Go Guards!
In response to the gold glove announcement Ive seen a ton of people asking for a Kwan extension and I get it and Id love to see it (but doubt it would happen) but I think we're overlooking another part of our outfield as well.
Lane Thomas is estimated to garner ~8 million in arbitration this upcoming season, going into his free agent year. Our system is loaded with left handed bats but lacks righties and so he fills a very important role this team would otherwise struggle with. He was a culture fit from day one and the rest of the team rallied around him even when he struggled, and that paid dividends going into September and the playoffs. I think he and the team are in a unique position where for most of the bigger market teams he'd be a platoon option but is essential to balance our lineup in Cleveland. He seems like the kind of guy who is both within our price range and also wouldn't have as much of a home elsewhere. I'd love to see this team keep him here for 4-5 more years. thoughts?
Yeah I get we don’t pay guys, but they just basically took money from one of their star players to save $1.5-2.5M
