Bear with me here, I just saw a post about how Ohtani apparently accounts for 9 of the Dodgers' 10 longest home runs in the 2024 season and I'm waiting for something to bake.
(Shout out Will Smith, he was #8 at 451ft.)
So if we put the dude in the most ideal conditions possible, how far can he nuke a ball? Say we throw Ohtani absolute meatballs, stick him in a good homer-friendly park (I assume Coors?), and give him one of those disallowed bats that lets a batter blast balls into orbit (I think they're metal?) — what's the max distance on one good hit.
Would Coors even be the best park to try that, or are there stadiums that are designed to allow balls to travel really far out if hit right 🤔
I searched the sub and saw someone mention he hit a ball 490ft(?) with the Angels once, so would he top that?
This will be my family’s first time visiting Dodgers stadium from out of state so I’m trying to make sure I get everything right. Planning on going to see them play the cubs in April. Does anyone know if tickets go on sale at midnight or is it sometime mid-morning? Thank you so much in advance!!
Personally I'm really high on De Paula. Dude's got an insane bat, and I really feel like he's our next blue-chip prospect.
With that being said however, Rushing and Hope also look like the real deal as well, and Ferris looks to be our next long-term lefty starting pitching star. Man our future is bright....
Of these guys, which one are you the most hyped for?
The 2025 Dodgers promotional schedule is now available. There is a whole season of great games to see at the Ravine.
What are the biggest home games of the season? To attend and/orget the promo?
Last year, the Shohei bobblehead was sold out craziness but now there are 4+ of them.
The blue in the Dodger logo used to shine and look glossy. Same for the name and numbers.
Hey all, new to this sub and (relatively) new to LA. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so point me in the correct direction if not. I want to get 1/4 or 1/2 season tickets, since I now live close to the stadium, and I’m a lifelong huge baseball fan. Want to see where I can find a few folks that might want to split a season ticket package or a few seats, as I really want to go to a good number of games, but work won’t always allow me to make all of them. Thanks for your time, and I can’t wait for baseball to start!
What is your take on how this trade would be Dodgers edition? What are some scenarios you can come up with?
Looking for hotels that are within walking distance to the stadium. Looking to go to the game on the 21st with our 2 older kiddos.
We stayed at Royal Pagota in 2023 but they are sold out. Last year, we stayed at Super 8 Wyndham downtown but it was a bit loud. Any other hotels in walking distance? I found a Dragon one but I'm not too keen on the reviews and paying for parking lol.
Not sure we want to take any train etc to get there. Looking more so for something we can just walk from. Thank you!!
Just wondering if any of these exist somewhere. Youtube says some videos are in 4K but they are just 1080.
