One of my great joys in going to baseball games was in finding a scalper from whom to buy tickets. Upon rare occasion I would pay for parking and end up not getting into the game-- that was the risk.

I would plan on being at the stadium at around the end of the second inning or beginning of the third. I'd find a couple guys and get to haggling-- it was awesome. You literally never knew what you could get.

I once got tix to the Pepsi Porch for a private party. No idea why those tickets were being scalped but it was awesome.

Now that everything is electronic with "no touch" tix on your phone, are there even scalpers at the gates anymore? I haven't been to a game this season & the two games I went to last season were gifts so I didn't even think to look.

I'm not talking about resellers online. That's no fun at all. I want to argue and haggle and see what I can get. My wife and daughter refused to do this with me before Covid, btw. Only my son would take part. It really works best for no more than two people anyway.

Do you think that some of these injuries occur during baseball games because no matter how much the players warm-up before the game, they spend so much time standing around and sitting around while their team bats, that their muscles cool down?

And then, when they are asked to do an explosive action, like hitting the ball or running on the base paths, they pull a muscle, because the muscles aren’t warmed up?

If so, why don’t teams to do something like Dennis Rodman used to do?

Where he would ride a stationary bike and keep moving even when he wasn’t in the game?

So instead of having the players just sit down and watch the team bar (it’s not like they need to rest from playing in the field), the teams could redesign their space, and make it into a stretching or light workout area that would keep the players muscles warmed up, as well as keep their focus and reaction times at peak form?

Was forwarded some tickets for the game tomorrow on the MLB app. How can you tell if it’s a theme ticket or not? I’ve always bought theme tickets so I never really looked for the discrepancy.

What's the best all inclusive section at Kauffman? Will be in town later this summer and want my groomsmen to do the 9x9x9.

Hello Royals fans! Slowly going to all the ballparks and Kauffman will be #10! I want to fully experience the stadium when I'm there as I don't know when I'll come back. I want to see if I missed anything in my research, I got:

The Outfield Experience (just to take a Pic of the carousel lol)

Hall of Fame Museum (in left field I think?)

Buck O Neil legacy seat behind home plate (is this easy to get to without a ticket to that section?)

Statues (are these outside of stadium, and if so where?)

Of course the fountains in the outfield

...that's all I was able to find. Any other must see amenities/plaques/other things in the stadium? Per tradition, I always do one lap around the main concourse and go up to upper deck.

Also as a tradition, try to get the one food item that is either the weirdest or most indicative of the region. For example at Coors I had rocky mountain oysters. Can't really find a good consensus on what would be best to have at Kauffman or a food that is odd. Any suggestions?

I’m going to Kauffman soon and am from out of state so I’m looking to make the most of it. Every time I go to a new stadium, I always get the signature hot dog, signature food, and a souvenir helmet of ice cream

I found the Bucket-Achos location pretty easily, but I can’t figure out what sections I can find the Kansas City All-Star Dog (that’s the one I found as the signature) and ice cream served in a souvenir helmet

Would anyone know the sections where I can find these two things?

I’m set on having these things specifically because that’s my tradition for each stadium, so I’m really hoping I can find them all. The only way I’d really change from these is if these aren’t available, so please only suggest other things if you know I can’t get them

Hi! I will be going to my first MLB game in June on a Friday night. I am looking for recommendations on the best area for seats in the stadium. 😁

Anyone have experience with upgrading their nosebleed tickets to better seats right before the game starts on the ballpark app? I’ve been reading it might be the best way to score good seats for cheap.
