My HMO was cancelled because CMS stated I didn't have healthcare but I do. So, I finally received an update rather quickly automatically that the date is wrong. If my date is wrong most likely a lot of people have the wrong date. It was dated to end this November 30th which is wrong. It should end December 31st. Just little problems in the Wisconsin Medicaid system that are wacky.

Is this true? Could the factory possibly have created that much water vapor?
From mass, never stepped foot in Wisconsin. Just hope to understand what's going on.
To the 29.5%, 951,178 people who voted against making citizen-only voting, AKA anti voter fraud, why did you vote against it?
I have no other route for this question lol, and limited time after 12hr shifts in the Fox Valley and commuting from Point.
Is cat food generally comparable from Woodmans to Walmart, or is one significantly more?
Hey r/wisconsin ! My wife and I currently live in a small-ish town in Colorado and she has often expressed a desire to move elsewhere, primarily for "opportunities" and being closer to an airport for international travel. For some context, she's from an Asian country and we currently live in an area with approximately 10k residents. Aside from "opportunities" and the nearby airport, she is somewhat concerned about crime and racism.
My primary desire is to not be in too large of a city. People in cars on streets... look, in my day-to-day, I do DoorDash and if there are more than 5 cars going the same direction I'm going, it's annoying. I know there's no way I'm getting around that if we move to a bigger city.
We currently pay about $800 in rent, $30 in electricity $50 in internet and we don't pay for heating. It's some of the cheapest in our area, but we still live in a good part of town. I can walk to any job on this side of town, as well, since it is rather small. It snows, but we have 360+ days a year that has sunlight at some point during the day, and every road out of town is single-lane two way road for 15-20 minutes. I prefer that to the sprawling network of suburbs I grew up with in California.
I love cheese, but my very very small association with it is mozzarella and cheddar, with a smattering of swiss. I honestly have no idea how important cheese is to y'all but it's a stereotype I thought I should mention.
Neither of us drink. Not a huge fan of being around people who drink a lot (at least, when they are drinking).
I was thinking of Green Bay, but for me that's a little big. I noticed Appleton nearby. Appleton appears to have a community of people from her home country (Philippines) with Asian markets for her to shop at. It's also not too far from a larger airport and not even that far from larger cities for a commute. And a very cursory search suggests the cost isn't prohibitive but I do have a couple of concerns:
I hear drunk driving is really bad in WI. This concerns me, but I'm on the outside looking in. Is it really bad? Is it something I should truly be concerned about? Are there "deadly" times of day to be driving certain roads?
The winters, I've heard, are long and cold. I don't mind that. I do have concerns about what kind of car is safe and if the cities (Green Bay, Appleton) maintain their roads in the city. I have a little front wheeler that I drive around here. I'm comfortable enough, but she's never driven in snow. Would it be strongly advisable to get a different type of vehicle or just "recommended"? Furthermore, as noted we don't pay heating, here. What kind of costs can we expect associated with winters?
I intend to find a "real job" at some point next year, and if we move it'll be at the conclusion of next year. We will have some time next summer to go visit for a few days, but would like to get a general understanding of the area and if our concerns are reasonable or unnecessary. Is it safe in the Green Bay / Appleton area? Any commentary, recommendations, questions?
Thanks for your reading! :)

Drove north from the Madison area and back yesterday and noticed two glowing buildings that appeared to be greenhouses - one near Waupun (glowing red) and another near Columbus. I don’t recall seeing them before. Are they greenhouses? If so, what are they growing?
Saw them today at the Fox River Mall. I grew up watching these two with my dad, and we made some of their recipes together. They brought amazing memories with my dad!
I’m not really on Reddit but you guys have been so kind about answering my throwaway acct education-related questions over the years that I’m hitting you up again. As a MN resident we have reciprocal tuition through graduate school. Masters of Mental Health Counseling at Madison and the U of MN are of course very competitive, but so, apparently, is Stout? Can anyone help me learn about what makes the program so strong, and what graduate student life is like in Menonomie?
I appreciate any help you can offer! The acct is (understandably) too new to post on the counseling subreddits. Thank you!
Cus they definitely don't work in the touristy shops lol
The wife and I are from southwest Minnesota and have been traveling for work the last 8 years. We are ready to settle down and have always loved Wisconsin. I have an aunt in Hudson and we love Hudson. What other towns can you all recommend that have the smaller feel and amenities but within an hour of everything else? Enjoyed Madison but not a fan of living IN big cities. I work remote so that doesn’t factor.
Hey!
I'm looking to give my parents a gift card to a pretty place to eat in Wisconsin. I was thinking of Ishnala but wanted to hear of any hidden gems before going there (which is amazing and I highly recommend to everyone!). I'm interested in any recommendations (food type doesn't matter, cost doesn't matter, location doesn't matter). Just looking for a gorgeous restaurant.
Hey everyone, I am one year off of finishing college in Idaho, and would absolutely love to get the * out while I still have a chance. I have never been to anywhere west of Wyoming and am taking a trip out to Eau Claire and Minneapolis this summer (hopefully!), but have been told by many many many people that Wisconsin is an awesome place to live. I'm getting a degree in Environmental Science, and have noted that your DNR pays very well for that caliber of work, and the opportunities are pretty abundant. I love to snowmobile, am a big fisherman and hunter (4 million white-tail, I mean come on), and have been looking for a different start. I want the good, bad, and ugly of Wisconsin and honest opinions before I consider. Thanks in advance!
And I'm leaving Idaho because I'd have to rob a bank to own even a mobile home.
