i'm thinking of studying abroad at one of them next year, but not sure which one. nanzan seems to have a lot more information re: courses and schedules on their site which is helpful, but timing wise seijo is more convenient and from what i can see so far i think i like their academics a bit more. anyone been to either of those or know someone who has who wouldn't mind fielding some questions? :D;
Ive got quite a bit of curiosities for this. I've been hoping for a few things about this, and it would be super helpful if I got some responses.
Firstly, how does one become an RA? Ive seen on the UWM housing that there's an application. Im assuming thats specifically going into the fall semester?
Second. What do you fully do as an ra? I understand its mainly to assist people on dorming things, but how difficult is it actually?
Third and fourth ig. Does your dorming cost get covered as an RA and do you get paid for hours you work? Would you get the job only for rooming to be covered (ex 6000 for a sandburg double) and or would you get paid a certain amount OR both?
Thank you all in advance!

What should I do and worry about when it comes to applying to the professional nursing major. I’m applying this winter and I’m very nervous. I had to retake some classes but got good grades after retaking.
Ask questions, look for UWM roommates, sell your Xbox, etc.
I've got an older car I'd like to park somewhere in the winter that has a ceiling so it won't get salty snow plowed up right underneath it (my option for parking at my house is street parking), I was thinking of getting the NWQ garage permit. If I do the monthly one, will I be getting a spot (or access to available spaces) that are covered (as in, not either in the parking lot itself or the rooftop of the garage)? Kind of a silly question jw
I’m looking for a photographer that can take professional headshots for me please!
Are there any places on campus that are good study spots where you can recline or lay down?
I'm disabled and cannot sit up straight for a long time. I live off campus but I'd really love to spend more time around campus.
Any ideas?
Hello, anyone here will be or have been in this program? I just wanna ask some things.
Sometimes I get bored of the library and going some place new can make studying more fun
I'm starting spring but I'll be in bridge program first before I can get into my major. Is it hard to get into the nursing program?
Hey yall. This semester I am to submit my foundation review for the film program. I’m really nervous, can anyone tell me what the process is like? Am I psyching myself out? Is it difficult?
Is it required to purchase meal plan?
Put a pep in my step and actually made me want to eat outside to listen to the music. I previously went to a small school and we did not have this.
Every single asynchronous class I have taken seems to have a professor that likes to assign as much busy work, readings, and projects as humanly possible. Currently despite the fact I work whenever I’m not on campus, my current professor assigns 6 items of homework + discussions per week, on top of notes and quizzes. Why are they so determined to assign so much work that will burn us out? Is it some sort of test? At this point I want to drop out with how much there is to do
Who wants to join gc 😁💗🩶 ~ Don’t use snap and want more people to talk to and actually meet/ hangout with on campus and out We can study/ hangout / chill vibes ** everyone welcomed 🥰
There’s a scruffy/slightly fratty looking guy who sometimes rides his bike in loops around campus, blasting party music off a speaker hooked to his backpack. He doesn’t seem to have a real destination. He just rides around. Anyone know what his deal is?
He usually wears a muscle shirt and sunglasses.
Edit: See the comments for a better physical description of him.
How much is estimated tuition fee for bachelors (resident) for a whole year, 2 semesters?

It is way too early for this shit.
Hello! I’m a freshman living in Sandburg and I’ve been enjoying hanging out in the seating area of Palm Gardens to do homework. It seems to be a food place but i’ve never seen it open and the uwm website doesn’t seem to have any info about it. I’d like to try all the places to eat on campus and Palm Gardens mystifies me. Does it open later in the year? Is it just open for certain days/events?
Visited the campus over the summer and my oh my, it was beautiful. Applied immediately when it opened up and got accepted! I also applied to Southern Illinois University but I'm definitely picking UWM
This is my first time encountering the anti abortion protestors. Anyone who’s been here longer than a semester, how often does this happen, and is it always this intense?
I stopped counting the encounters after dodging eight over the course of two passing periods. I am afraid of this jeopardizing my ability to focus in class, because it's making me feel like I’m in a hostile environment and panicky.
Does anyone have any tips for dealing with this?
Is there a way I can find out ahead of time when they’ll be on campus so I can avoid them?
Edit: If anyone would like to make a formal complaint to the Dean of Students, here is a sample with some good points Superb_Eye shared:
"Today, when the anti-choice protesting group decided to come down, I was forced to take a longer route to my class, starting at Lapham and ending at Curtin hall, because of the anti-choice protestors.
I am aware that freedom of speech is valued at UW-Milwaukee, however myself and other students felt harassed during this event as they were repeatedly yelling hate-speech and purposefully getting into arguments with students, with an intent to incite altercations.
This group -which was not a student movement or organization, but rather an outside Facebook rally- almost completely blocked the path from Lapham Hall to Curtin Hall with their signs sporting images that made other students and myself uncomfortable.
This type of protest is not allowed at UWM, as stated by the Discriminatory Conduct Policy: Discriminatory Harassment, under pregnancy, political affiliation, religion, and unreasonable interference with an individual's education.
These protestors were targeting, following and verbally harassing people based on pregnancy and reproductive status".

Second edit: changed language from "pro-life" to "anti choice". Transparency, and all...
I’m currently at Marquette and thinking about transferring to Milwaukee as the cost is just too much and I still want to stay local. I am a finance major and was wondering if anyone can give me their opinion or experience in the program. Thank you!!

Does anyone know where a public microwave is on campus? Is there one in the library?
