How do we feel about him? I personally love him and I would hate to see him go but if you’re the gm are you going to keep someone when you have 3 good running backs that were healthy this year and getting Lloyd back for next year, now I think Brooks might be let go but you still have 3 running backs that I would put ahead of him for health concerns (neck stinger)

Now I’m not saying let him walk because he’s basically the mayor of Door County and you can tell he loves Green Bay but would you keep him?

    Who are we rooting for?

It’s no shocker that everyone hates this year’s super bowl, but who are we rooting for?

Personally, it’s the Chiefs for me for 2 reasons: I’m from the Philly area, and I can’t stand to see the Eagles have 2 rings since our last Super Bowl (alongside me just hating other fanbases’ happiness). Also, the Chiefs are vying for a three-peat, which WE HAVE ALREADY DONE, so it won’t be the first three-peat ever (and our most recent happened to coincide with the first two super bowls, so there’s an argument ours was the first in the SB era).

Either way, I hate the super bowl and it’s still my least favorite AFC team vs one of my least favorite NFC teams, so it’s a tough decision. However, I will say if I wasn’t from the Philly area, I’d be rooting for the birds

As we approach Super Bowl weekend, the big story is Mahomes might become the first player to win three straight. I want you all to keep in mind that Bart Starr won three consecutive championships from 1965 to 1967.

Where did the narrative that we're releasing Jaire start?

Did I miss something from the organization talking about it or hinting about it? Or is it just reddit speculation? He's only 27 years old, turns 28 in a couple weeks.

He counts for basically 24.9m against the cap next year. If we cut or trade him, he still counts 18.1m against the cap. Is it worth cutting him to save 6.8m? The money makes a lot more sense to keep him for next year and cut/trade him the following year, when he'd only be a dead cap hit of 10m and we'd save 17m.

I really want to win a Super Bowl next year

Are there any single celebs out there with as much pull as T Swift that J Love could ditch his fiancée for? Maybe Rihanna or Beyonce will break up with their dudes and be available for one of our players?

The Packers are planning to hire former Patriots defensive coordinator DeMarcus Covington as their new defensive line coach and promote Sean Mannion to quarterbacks coach

Covington coached the Patriots outside linebackers (2019) and defensive line (2020-2023) in New England before his one season as coordinator.

Mannion, the former NFL QB, spent this past season as an offensive assistant for the Packers.

    Everyone talking about needing CBs

I do agree we should get some CB help with Jarie being a huge question mark and Stokes not coming back and performing as well as we would like. But I honestly feel we need to focus more on our pass rush and getting guys in who can get to the QB. Defensive lines can make average CBs look great. Maybe it’s just the time of day I listen but Bill Michaels and the rest seem to be extremely focused on CBs. When I talk to people they seem to agree with the talk shows that our number 1 priority is CB, I just think any QB can pick a part a defense if we get no rush. Which we saw last season. Maybe I’m alone or just not listening at the right times. Also sorry I’m on mobile

    Releasing Jaire

There’s a growing consensus that the Packers will move on from Jaire Alexander, am I the only one who's kinda against the move?

No Easy Replacement – Finding shutdown corners is incredibly difficult. Packers have been historically bad at drafting corners, and there aren’t many free-agent corners who could come close to replacing Jaire’s impact. Even if the Packers moved on, they’d likely be spending significant resources trying to replace what they just lost.

At the end of the day, losing Jaire wouldn’t free up enough cap space(6 mil)to justify the downgrade at a premium position. The Packers’ best option is to keep him and ensure they have a top-tier corner to battle the elite WR talent in the NFC North.

    Possible Draft Prospect

What do you all think about Texas's Jahdae Barron (CB-S) to Green Bay? I think that it will be a great addition given his hybrid and flexible nature playing both in the slot and safety position and winning the Thorpe award last year. I am a Texas fan, so I know there is a bias here, but I do see him being a Day 1 starter, especially over people like Eric Stokes.

There is so much controversy about Rich Bisaccia. Is it good or bad that we extended him?

I think for the most part, Bisaccia has not been doing as bad as people think, but I do understand where people are coming from regarding penalties, mistakes, and the Bears return touchdown on us. I just think that we can not afford to go back to the dark times of 2021 before we had a consistent ST coordinator.

    Marshall’s Mike Green

With the need for receivers, pass rushers, and corners, I could see Gute making his annual left field 1st round pick in edge rusher Mike Green if we don’t address the d-line in free agency. Green to me is the opposite of LVN; a proven All American who has all the skills, smarts, stats, just not the ideal size despite his standout strength at 6’4 250. Green is projected to fall somewhere in the early 1st or late 2nd and I could see his stock rising even higher as the draft nears. In hindsight, Gute will never draft the obvious guy as we’ve seen in years before, and he loves those SEC defenders. Most mocks have us taking d-lineman Shemar Stewart from A@M or Walter Nolan from Ole Miss, but we all know Gute doesn’t follow the crowd when it comes to drafting. What do you guys think the outcome of our 1st round will be and how would you feel about Mike Green being our pick?

Anybody have "There Guy" in the draft yet?

Who's your guy if you have one yet?

A few dudes I think would benefit us greatly are Jahdae Barron (CB, Texas), Tre Harris (WR, Ole Miss), Grey Zabel (OL, N. Dakota State) and J.T. Tuimoloau (EDGE, Ohio State).

Barron seems like our only option at CB in round one with Revel and Morrison likely going before 23. Tre Harris is highly ranked by espn but is somehow available in the third round of some mocks?? Sign me up for him in the second. Grey Zabel is just an awesome fucking name and he has the patented Packers OL versatility to play all over the line and could probably start at Center for us next season. Plus being from NDS is pretty rad. JTT just has a high floor and seems like he could immediately start opposite of RG at this time and we wouldn't notice a difference between him, LVN and Enagbare.

    Away games this season

(depending on the date of the game) I might go to Denver and check out Mike high stadium for my Packers Game outside of Lambeau, if any of you fellow Packer fans have been there before,

What's the status like? How do the home fans treat the away fans there? Overall how was your experience?

The Packers need a new LT

I get that some people were fired up about potentially getting a longterm starting LT in the seventh round, but Walker took a huge step back this year. 9 penalties, gave up 3 sacks, and 35 pressures allowed. What’s more concerning is that his poor fundamentals is the root cause. Narrow base (especially run blocking), opens the gate too early against speed rushers, doesn’t play with power in the run game. I honestly don’t understand what people see in this guy.

Packers had the 3rd most drops in the NFL this year with 33. Lions were 2nd least in the NFL with 12. Vikings had 19. The Bears had 20.

Wicks had 9, Reed had 9, Doubs had 7, Kraft had 5, Watson had 2. Brooks had 1.

Packers had 3 guys with nearly the same amount of drops as the entire Lions team. Crazy to think about.

Was Love great this year? No, he was average and inconsistent. I personally think he can and will be better. He’s got to elevate his WR’s, but his WR’s need to help him out too.

Watching this playoff football has reminded me of what great WR play looks like. Looking back at the season even beyond the drops I feel as though that the hard contested catches that you see around the league were very rare us. Often times I would be yelling at my own TV (like an idiot) telling the Packers WRs that they need to go fight for some of the balls Love was throwing.

Obviously the season wasn’t without any great catches or highlights, we definitely had those too. But similar to Love’s passing it was inconsistent and very infrequent.

    Packers redraft

Draft season coming in, which pick made in the Gute era(to exclude obvious Kevin King) would you have it back and redraft with your initial draft crushes?

My take : take JSN in 2023 1R and DO NOT GIVE the Lions Brian Branch.

    Gute Wizardry

Was looking into the draft next year and seeing how many picks we got. With recieving Malik Willis (Sending a 7th) and sending Preston Smith (Receiving a 7th) we moved up 3 spots in the 7th round. Sure the most minor of upgrades in the draft, but we moved on from an aging vet that wasn't playing well in the new scheme, and we grabbed a solid back up qb that ultimately sent us to the playoffs. I see this as a win, win, win. Can't wait for the draft and what Green Bay has to cook up. GPG.
