Best camping in the Stevens Point area?
I'm looking for friends at UWSP, I moved here last year and haven't had the chance to make many friends yet, but my schedule outside of school and work has finally chilled out.
I'm into movies, learning how to make stuff, improv, and getting obsessed with a topic until I feel like I learned enough about it then going to another one. I also have ambitions, lift, and love experiencing new things. Though I look like a super stereotypical tall straight sporty guy, I rarely do sport stuff, but I like bringing that intensity into things that are more eccentric like weird science stuff or making up ridiculous cult like clubs. I'm also very open, bi, love writing song parodies, and get around with nerdy neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ people.
If your at UWSP and you're open to having a new person join your friend group to see if we vibe, hmu!
Hi there! I am a student planning to transfer to UWSP and I wanted to know what is the Computer Science project like, whether it's good or not and what are the professors like? Looking forward to reading your replies :)
Hi I'm an incoming freshman at stevens point and just want to ask what the school is really like since websites and videos can only show so much ya know.
I am considering UWSP for my education. I really want to have an active social life at college, but I don't want to drink alcohol. Could I do this at UWSP or is everything social boozy? Are there students at UWSP that don't drink? Thanks for the advice!
I have had a very difficult time making friends here, being a transfer mainly and not knowing anyone. I’ve tried to talk to people in my dorms and classes mainly. Nothing has come of it. I feel like I don’t fit in anywhere at this school and I want to go back to my old school. I’m thinking about volunteering next semester but other than that, I have no plans. I honestly have this odd feeling that no one likes me at this school. Well whatever, this sub is dead anyway so I don’t think this will be seen. Total exclusion is what I define as my experience at UWSP, and I hope I can find my way somehow this spring.
Trying to connect a switch to the WiFi. Anyone know the password?
Yeah I'm serious. If you're a furry comment below and we'll figure out how to meet and become friends without getting killed by someone (seriously if you're not a furry back off)
hey i lost my keys somewhere around campus a few months ago. ive been searching everywhere for them. they have a small shoe attached to them. if anyone has any info, please message me
UWSP has a Digital Forensic elective cross-listed between Sociology (SOC 395) and the CNMT (CIS 347) departments. This image of the mural on the TNR building is part of one of the assignments for that course. It's an example of steganography - hiding data within data. This image is one of the most basic examples of that.
I will be a freshman at Stevens Point and I am wondering which residence halls or quads are the best to live in. Are any more exciting or fun than other ones? I want to be focused, of course, on my education, but I also want to have some fun in my college years.
Essentially I'm try to understand why people don't flush after using toilets on campus..because I've noticed a LOT of people like to leave presents behind for someone else to discover. My survey is attempting to understand why people don't flush, general percentages of those who flush and those who don't, and if gender relates how likely or unlikely one will be to flush. Please be HONEST. If you don't flush I want to know why.
I appreciate all genuine answers, and am eternally grateful
A relative is attending this fall and I was thinking of giving them a gift card for one of them. Is one significantly more popular in SP?
An alternative to both would be a gift card for pizza or somewhere else that delivers. Any suggestions?
Basically how do I torrent without raising any red flags?
I would really appreciate a ride as I have a flight to catch at 4:30pm that afternoon!
Ive been trying to connect a device that cant use WPA2Enterprise and need a wifi with simpler encryption.
Is the tap water safe for drinking? I was in a college in New York and pretty much all the tap water there is safe to drink and was wondering the same for Wisconsin, particularly Stevens Point since I am starting here soon.
Im looking for a single occupancy option and was offered one of the two. I'm only going to be at UWSP for a semester and was looking for opinions. Help?
So I know there is a thing tomarrow at 6pm but I don't know the room and the website link to the use acssa is broke
Could not access my old username+password, have to make a new one. Oh I'm sorry you can't put in the access codes on the site, despite attempting to use 3 browsers. I hate hate hate webassign. And now after performing some mental calculus I am finding myself to be happy on dropping my math major so that I don't ever have to use this website ever again.
Sorry but I need to somehow vent on how much I hate webassign and just how shitty of a website it actually is.
I'm flipping hungry
I'm starting at UWSP this semester, and moving into an apartment with craigslist roommates next week. I'll have three weeks before classes start. Anyone have any recommendations for events or opportunities to acquaint myself with the town? I was considering joining a yoga class or a d&d group or something like that.
Anyone driving back to point from the milwaukee area soon?
I will give road head to anyone who gets me home safe
Hey I think we need to liven this sub up a bit. How much can we learn about other UWSP redditors, without anyone revealing their identity? I'm really curious about what UWSP students might assume about eachother only from their Reddit activity. I.e- Majors, year, hobbies, kinks, IDK- it's probably a shit idea but maybe this will get the sub popping.
Dear Wisconsin Resident,
The Wisconsin Broadband Office is pleased to announce a survey that allows residents and businesses the opportunity to voice their need for improved internet access or service. The goal of the survey is to help state planners and policy makers better understand the need for improved internet access in our state. The survey will remain open through November 23, 2016. http://psc.wi.gov/broadbandSurvey.htm
